I was shocked she remembered me from a year ago! She agreed to call me when she got in morbid stuff (I have a problem I know). She's a super cool lady with an awesome store. Honestly they have a little of everything: furniture, ceramics, candles & tarts, really old antiques, etc. If you like building fairy gardens, they have that too. Go visit if you're downtown! And the prices are really good.

They were exactly what I was expecting, and was a great deal. I paid and the seller (presumed owner) was willing to allow me to pick them up the next day; he helped me load them into my car when I wasn't able to bring help. This was such a fun find, and thank God for GPS because this place is 'off the beaten path'. This place is much larger than I was anticipating-- several rooms ranging from higher end antiques to very old tools and chairs. The only downside is that's it's cash only, but I understand why. If I am in the area again, I'd make the trip out.

Great Flea Market. If you park outside of the gates, you are considered a walk in AND it cost $1…read moreper person. If you park inside to shop it is $5 per car load. If you want to sell stuff, it is $10 and you get the space between post which equals two cars parked side by side, that is pretty good size spot. They open at 5am for shopping and selling, they close about 4pm to get ready for the movies that show that night. The flea market is Saturday and Sunday (and I believe Wednesdays but not sure about Wednesdays) They have the concession stand open and selling food and bathrooms at the concession area. If you are looking for tools this is the place to shop!!! We bought a big heavy shovel, a outside chair for Tony to use on the deck, some socks and deodorant for him also...ME ....nothing!!! I am picky, so some good items but not the right pricing and I didn't feel like haggling!!!

So you can…read morevisit just to grab a coffee or hot chocolate or tea, or you can visit to paint some pottery, or both! I highly recommend doing both. You should know, though: This place seems to get very busy on the weekends, and they do not take reservations. So if you want to beat the crowds, your best bet is to get there right when they open. If all of the painting tables are full, you will need to wait outside until someone leaves. That could be 10 minutes, which is what it was for us. Or, like the nice man who works there pointed out, it could be 30 minutes or more, because there is no time limit once you're at the painting tables, because the creative process can't be rushed. Fair enough. Once we got a table, we walked around the store and looked at all of the pottery options. They had bowls, plates, piggy banks, coasters, planters, trinkets and ornaments (these are seasonal). My kids picked out a truck piggy bank and a kitty ornament. Pottery pieces vary in price -- the ornament cost around $12, and the piggy bank cost $35. Next we made our way to the painting station, where we loaded up our pallets with paint. They recommend using three coats of paint for the brightest finish, but my kids, who are impatient like all children, only did one coat of paint and their pieces came out really well. After you're done painting, you leave your pieces on the table, pay for them at the register, and then Art & Clay on Main fires them and glosses them, and you pick them up about a week later. It is so cool to finally get your finished pieces. Ours really looked professionally done! While we were painting, we ordered some hot chocolate with whipped cream, and drank and painted at a leisurely pace. It was a nice and relaxing family activity, and my kids were really into it. I highly recommend dropping by Art & Clay on Main if you're in downtown Lancaster if you're looking for a fun and relaxing activity with your kids.

Not at many venders and items as I was picturing. Nevertheless, this annual event (they have a Fall Flea, too!) was very eclectic. Lots of home decor. Even a few repurposed clothing local venders. Of course, some small furniture and storage. Lots of pastel and white. Their seemed to be a steady flow of patrons, so I'm excited to check it out in the fall. PS, the fall flea is a bit bigger, as they're able to set up vendor tables outside, too.

The owner, "Charlie" did a great job fixing a standing lamp that had broken during our last move…read more The lamp was over $300 dollars and had snapped in two leaving it unusable. My neighbor told me about Charlie which made me think the lamp might be salvageable if I took it to him. After two weeks in the repair shop, I now have my lamp back and it's as good as new. I highly recommend him for repairs! Also, his shop of filled with nostalgic items that really take you back in time. Check out this business in Millersport- you won't be disappointed.
