I was able to find a Aluminum 1960s Jello mold for my daddy. I am making him lots of Jello lately and he wants it PRETTIED UP a bit...lol !!! There is two levels and there is so much to see. We were there about 3 hrs and it seemed like 1/2 hr..the parking lot was FREE and on the side of the old warehouse There is no elevator in this old warehouse so if you have issues climbing stairs beware!!! Thankfully they were never painted, but they showed their age--and some abuse. They are now beautiful -- exactly the color and finish I wanted and they look awesome with my cherry cabinets. Adam was great--came when he said he would, finished the doors on schedule and returned them when he said he would. I highly recommend Woodmasters of Greater Columbus.

Woodmasters recently restored and refinished my late wife's cedar chest. It had been painted green…read moreand had been stored in our old barn. Needless to say, it was in very poor condition. Adam and his staff replaced missing veneer and repaired a broken shelf inside before totally refinishing this chest. It is so beautiful now and will be a very special piece that, someday, I will proudly hand down to one of my children or grandchildren. This is the fourth piece that Woodmasters has restored/refinished for me. The quality of craftsmanship and customer service is outstanding.

First off, the facts. Every month starting in June the Aladdin Shrine Center off Stelzer (near Easton Mall) hosts a "GO-TO monthly market of local, vintage, antiques, upcycled" etc, etc vendors in their main stage area. June 22, July 13, Aug 23, Sept 13 and Oct 19 (thus far.) For me it was too flea market and not enough antique market. The handmade and upcycled items were nice, but there was too much of it. Food truckers were outside in the side parking lot, which was nice: Mojo Tago, Red Snapper Mobile, Mai Chau, and My Place or Yours. Seating for eating was available inside. There was also a bar. Yep, a bar-beer and liquor. They actually had $2 CBC IPA pints. Uh, yeah, keep them coming. Not because I love it so but needed some liquid courage to keep going. The advertised "live music" was a DJ on the stage "turning" hits from 60's, 70s and 80s...."Bartender, two more pints please!" But when I have to pay admission for something like this, I expect that at minimum the place that was rented out will be full. That was not the case. The first show I went to was maybe 70% full and while there were different vendors from primitive to upcycled to tables made from reclaimed wood (awesome!) to a guy selling bones and creepy items, it somehow felt like it was not worth the price of admission. Okay, so maybe the first show was new and it needed to find its groove so I'll give it another chance. Well, there were *fewer* vendors at the next show and they added tables for people to sit down and have drinks or eat to make it appear like more space was filled. I don't know that I can justify shelling out admission again if the place isn't at capacity. I might go to the last one since it'll be closer to the start of holiday shopping and hope more people have signed up by then before I make my final decision. I am glad to see the opportunity for something like this in town though but I hope it picks up a little steam especially when you have something like the Scott Antiques Market that rolls around and is free admission and 4-5x the size.

Rose, the owner, was terrific. The repairs were made far quicker than expected and they were done perfectly. When I picked them up, Rose and I had a very nice conversation. She is such a warm and friendly person. I highly recommend Lamplighter. You will not be disappointed.

There is a vast selection and some very nice things and some yard sale nonsense. Slim pickins' for the true collector. It's difficult to gauge value and cost worth because of all the different owners. I have seen situations where there's a price window and in certain events, they will call the owner to dicker on price. It's spacious. Very spacious. With all the variety it's impossible to organize, yet, they can direct you to most items you're looking for. The folks operating the store are very kind and really try to guide you to booths that may have what you're in search of.
