Hiring Courtney as my day of coordinator was easily one of the best decisions (out of the hundreds) I made for this wedding. I don't even want to think about how things would have gone without her. From our first phone consultation I knew she would be perfect. She was so helpful and detailed without being overbearing like so many other seemed to be. As soon as we chose her, Courtney sent us this spreadsheet that organizes EVERYTHING. Every little detail gets accounted for in this thing, including a complete timeline, info for all the vendors, and everyone else involved. She brought up all these different details and moving parts that I never would have thought about and planned for. When the wedding got closer (like 1.5 months away) we met up and she also became my therapist! The wedding stress was REAL. We stayed in close contact from then until the wedding week, with her helping me coordinate all the little details and giving me advice on how to make everything as easy as possible. She also became the point of contact for all my vendors so I did not have to worry about anything or talk to anyone that final week. When it came to the day before, Courtney came to our rehearsal and made sure everything was organized and good to go, meeting all the parents, grandparents, wedding party, etc and letting everyone know that she was the point of contact for everything. On the wedding day she was a SAINT. She came to our hotel where all the gals got ready, steamed our dresses, coordinated delivery of flowers, kept us on schedule, etc. She also was going to to our reception venue to help set everything up! I gave her instructions of how everything should be set up (a lot of it I brought in myself so the venue doesn't set it up) and it looked so amazing beyond everything I had pictured. Somehow between the hours of her helping us get ready, getting us to the church, and the ceremony she managed to put together dozens of floral arrangements, set up signs, and light hundreds of candles. She helped manage everything throughout the night, making sure I was able to eat (she had saved a whole tray of appetizers for the wedding party since we came later than everyone else from photos), she adjusted our timeline when I needed to make updates, she set up all of our favors (100 of them!) while everyone was eating, and she was basically just a flawless angel there to save the day. I did not have one hiccup or issue with the wedding (that I know of!) because Courtney handled and took care of any issue. She was the best decision ever and I can't thank her enough. We hired Courtney as our day-of wedding coordinator for our wedding this past Saturday, and she definitely delivered to our expectations. One thing that I really appreciated about her was how responsive she was to communications. It angers me when I email or text someone that I'm doing business with and I don't hear from them for days on end. Courtney was very prompt with her responses, and that helped me to trust that she would also be responsive to my needs at the wedding. Also, don't let the term Day-Of coordinator fool you. From the day we signed the contract, she was there to answer questions and give advice and feedback on what steps we should be taking with our wedding planning. Courtney was exactly what we needed on our wedding day. While our needs of a coordinator were for the ceremony only, we don't know how that part of the day would have gone without her. Days and weeks prior to the wedding, she was very thorough in following up with us and verifying exactly what our needs were for the ceremony. She was there to ensure proper setup, meet the florist for delivery, pin boutonnieres on the guys and wristlets on the mothers, and make sure the girls had their bouquets upon arrival. Beyond those specifics, she was really more than willing to assist us with anything we asked of her. She informed us well beforehand that she has an emergency kit in case problems arise, such as pins breaking or something needing a quick sewing, or something as simple as needing chewing gum. Sure enough, we had a couple of boutonniere pins break and she was right there to replace them. Courtney also did a great job coordinating the entrance to the ceremony, making sure the violinist was on cue with who was walking down the aisle. Our 2 year old ring bearer was less than enthused about walking down the aisle, but with Courtney's help he made it. During the ceremony, when there was some downtime for her, she took some pictures for us and emailed them the next day. It was nice to see some pictures while we wait for our photographer to process his. Post ceremony, when we went off to take pictures, Courtney oversaw the cleanup of the ceremony site. While we planned so many of the details of the ceremony, the execution of every detail was something we could not have handled on our own and still have enjoyed our day. Everything was planned, but as the wedding day drew closer we were wondering how we would pull this off while still enjoying our wedding day. We looked into hiring a Day of Wedding Coordinator to see what type services they provide and what help they could be. By some stroke of fate and good fortune, we came across Courtney's website. We made initial contact and found out she was available on our Wedding Day so we decided to talk to her on the phone and after several conversations met her in person. From the very beginning we felt comfortable with Courtney and she immediately put us at ease. She quickly identified all of the areas that she could help us with on our day which included a meeting with the Venue to discuss final preparations. She proactively reached out to all vendors (photographer, liquor service, and DJ) to introduce herself. She asked questions on items which we honestly had put no thought into before she asked. This helped us to be even more prepared and relaxed. On the day of the wedding she arrived early to help set up decorations, pick up flowers from the Florist and ensure the seating arrangement was completed. She helped to direct the flow of the ceremony and transition into the reception (everything was at one location). During the reception Courtney continued to ensure that everything went without a hitch. This included making sure that neither of us had an empty drink. At the end of the night she personally took home decorations, gifts/cards and other items so we could continue celebrating with friends. Courtney Bollettino, owner of Bollo Hollow, was the day-of-coordinator for my wedding on September 20, 2014. I cannot begin to describe just how invaluable she was on my big day! If you are looking for a wedding coordinator, I would highly recommend her!! I am a planner by nature. And my wedding was no exception! I needed someone extremely meticulous and organized for the day-of. Most of the pre-planning/DIY stuff I did myself, or with my husband and my sisters, but it was very important to have someone on the day-of who could take charge, set things up, and put out any fires that god-forbid would pop up. Courtney was a rock star. I did not lift a finger on my wedding day. She took care of everything and was so fun and professional!! The day before the wedding Courtney attended my wedding rehearsal, and met with my family and pastor. It was great to have her input during the rehearsal! She helped iron out all the kinks we had in my timeline, and there were several for sure! That night she also picked up everything I wanted to have on site the next day (my ceremony and reception were at different venues and we couldn't set anything up the night before.) On the day-of Courtney worked with all my vendors to make sure everything went perfectly. She made sure if there was a problem or anything at all- that they contacted her and NOT me! No one bothered me at all and I was able to focus on what mattered and not whether ten people were trying to squeeze themselves into a table for 8 (which I heard did end up happening, lol) Courtney took care of all the set up! She picked up my wedding cake in the morning from the bakery. She made sure my bouquets/boutonnieres arrived. She set up all my escort cards and all the favors for my guests. She laid the decorations and placed the wedding menus out. She probably did a million other things the day-of that I don't even know about! And how she did it in such little time I have no idea! When I walked into the reception after taking photos, my jaw dropped. It looked so beautiful! There is no way it would have come to fruition without her hard work. She even stayed to clean up and made sure everything I brought was returned to me the next week. Most importantly she kept excellent communication with me and my family all day and kept us on time and on track!! If I needed anything, she had me covered. If I needed a napkin, stain remover, a needle and thread, a glass of water, what have you- she was there with her supply kit! In the morning, one of my bridesmaids burned herself badly on a curling iron and Courtney rushed out to pick up burn cream and was back in no time! I was so thankful. Leading up to the big day, she was easily available by phone and email to answer any of my questions and she had questions for me that I didn't even think of. She initiated most of our phone calls which I so appreciated. It was extremely helpful to talk through the day-of timeline and other logistics. Like most brides, I had a ton of questions during the months of planning and changed my mind a million times. I often emailed her for advice, suggestions, tips on other vendors, etc - she always responded quickly and thoughtfully and I thought she had great ideas! If you want a Covid Cop, hire Bollo Hollow Weddings Courtney Bollettino at Bollo Hollow Weddings, almost wrecked my daughters wedding! I hired her to help me with the wedding planning, but she not only didn't help me, she created great anxiety for me. Courtney made it very clear that she would be uncomfortable if all people were not wearing masks in the bridal suite, (while the girls would be getting hair & makeup done), at the church, and at the wedding reception. In fact, she stated that she would leave and sit in her car. I had already paid her $1,000 for her services, but when she began to stress me over the use of masks, I decided to end our relationship. I stated that I will not force my guest to wear a mask. It's optional. She did not return any of the money I had already paid her, which she did NOTHING to earn. The only thing I had done with Courtney was share my vendor list and a introduction meeting . After making my decision to terminate her (one month before the wedding), she decided to contact all of my vendors (2 days before the wedding) to inquire about the use of masks during our wedding. I was very upfront, early on, that we would not be enforcing people to wear masks, period! EVERY vendor informed me that Courtney had contacted them, AFTER I let her go. Why would she do this? Was she intent on disrupting my daughter's wedding? Further, she even called the venue to ask how they would be handling attendees in regards to the Covid issue. Again, she placed that call AFTER she was let go! And the topper..... somebody called the police on the venue to complain about guests not wearing masks that night of the wedding, and it wasn't any of our vendors or guests. For somebody who is supposed to help people with wedding planning, she should understand how important a wedding is to the bride, and yet she seemed determined to impact this event. I later learned that she previously worked at a wedding, where attendees were not made to wear masks. She took a photo and posted it Facebook, basically shaming these people that were paying her for her services. These are not the actions of a professional wedding planner, and I would avoid her at all costs! read more

I was sitting, the morning of my wedding around 4am. A Toronto bride planning a wedding downtown Chicago long distance was not an easy task. I felt my past, future and present were being melded into one moment, and my mind was running wild. And then, suddenly, I became calm. This was due to Courtney. This word calm feels strange, as it cannot truly express the gratitude I felt to her for taking my worries and my stress onto her own. Hiring Courtney Bollettino as our day of wedding coordinator was one of the BEST decisions we could have made. Do you want people coming up to you on your wedding day with a million questions? Any sane bride will answer no. For those of you who are considering that scenario...it's a no...the answer is NO! You need Courtney! Relying on family or bridesmaids will not work. Your mom will be busy hosting along with you and your maid of honor will be drunk after 6:00pm. Plus, they deserve to not have to work...they have been helping you all year and should be celebrating alongside of you. What you DO want is someone strictly there to help run things and Courtney is going to do just that. I have seen the wedding where there isn't a delegator and ladies, it's not good. Things get missed, guests are not taken care of, you won't get the photos you want, things will seriously go awry and again, you will become the go to person to solve all problems and answer all questions. Here is how Courtney operates. You first have a phone chat about who you are and what you are picturing your day to be. This is when you first hire her...so for me it was a year out. She then sends you this life saving spreadsheet, (you don't know how life saving it is until later...but trust me, it is). This thing outlines every single thing you need to figure out, seating arrangements, music, entrances and exits, you name it. This spreadsheet made it possible to plan my wedding. Not only that, when it came time to hand over schedules to the DJ, Photographer, Musicians and Bridal party...all I had to do in those last few weeks was click "print". She also is a huge problem solver. Our officiant got the time wrong for our rehearsal. Courtney took complete control of the situation, including telling me it is no problem and everything will be fine the next day. She then ran our entire rehearsal like a boss. In regards to the actual wedding day, she set up our entire reception space in a very small window of time. This included going through a ton of boxes with vases, beads and candles, (I had a very DIY wedding). The room looked stunning when we entered for our reception! For our ceremony, our wedding party entered from two sides of the building and Courtney made sure that everyone knew where they had to be and when. She directed the entire flow of the procession and made it look seamless. Then, at the end of the night she packed up all of those same boxes with our center pieces and other decor we brought to the venue. The BEST thing though that she did was this.... The day after our wedding, (yes the day after), she sent me a dropbox file with photos from our big day. Before opening the file, I was expecting like, 10 photos. There were 65! As we all know, the photographer photos don't arrive for months. Courtney didn't just take photos and send them to us within 24 hours, but she took AMAZING photos! She actually got better photos of my little niece in her wagon coming down the aisle that even our paid photographer didn't get and my sister used one of Courtney's to print and frame! With her doing this though, we got to share photos already with our parents and guests the next morning in the hotel lobby. My husband and I had our main wedding event in Panama (where I am from) and a second reception in Chicago (where he is from and where we live). Courtney was a great asset for our wedding! In an effort to stay frugal, we rented a venue that was very much DIY and included no wait staff. We needed as much help as we could get. Courtney was fantastic, she helped us every step of the way and was always available for my sometimes panicky questions. One of my closest friends gave me the advice to hire a day of coordinator, and it really was the best advice. Leading up to my July 25th wedding, I had organized all the venues, vendors, wedding party, day of schedule, etc. But with one month to go, I realized that I couldn't get myself and everyone else to the ceremony and down the aisle without some help. We hired Courtney as our "day of wedding coordinator" a year before our wedding after conducting extensive research online. We went with her after meeting and feeling comfortable with her services. We met with her a month before our wedding to go over the wedding day timeline and she pointed out to us some things we had not thought about; she is thorough. It was on our wedding day in August 2015 that we truly realized what a gem she is. From a few days before the wedding, Courtney put us at ease regarding all vendors; she contacted every vendor before the day and was available to us. On the day of the wedding, she made sure everything went well despite a few hiccups. My husband and I highly recommend her. My only criticism is that sometimes, she takes a few days to respond to emails; this was somewhat unsettling for me. I cannot imagine my wedding day without Courtney. She was fantastic; From a few weeks before my wedding, she organized spreadsheets for me to fill in the blank, which allowed her to become familiar with all my wedding vendors, members of my bridal party, items which would need to go to and from the ceremony and reception venue, etc. All of this lead up to a stress free day! The vendors were in touch with her on the wedding day, so I was really able to relax and enjoy getting ready. She knew what to do at all times...if she asked me a question and I was hesitant (I am very indecisive) She was very calm and confident in making decisions for me, and I trusted her all the way. We also were able to avoid running around to collect items from the ceremony venue and reception venue at the end of the night, because she made sure to take care of this.
