It is hard to put into words the magic Derrick and his team created for our 400 person Chicago wedding reception (check oout his photos on instagram or facebook)! They truly created a stunning event. Unfortunately... all talk. I met Derrick at a wedding expo and be wowed me with his table designs, and philosophy on weddings. I got his card and let him know I wanted to schedule something as soon as possible. I reached out to him the first time the very next day and he emailed me back a day or so later that he would look at this calendar. We confirmed a date and then unfortunately, a few hours before our meeting time I had to email and reschedule due to a few emergency situations at work. It has since been 6 days and I have not heard a word, no email, no call nothing. I don't know about you, but what happens when this laps in communication happens the day of your wedding day? I need a company that will communicate with me or even send a quick email saying,i am running around with events lets reconnect next week. This review is LONG overdue, and I apologize for that! We were married in June of 2018 and used Derrick for our flowers and decor. To this day, I still receive thoughtful compliments from those that attended that my wedding was the most amazing wedding they have ever been to, and in no small part was that due to Derrick's unbelievable decorating. The flowers were luxurious, full, brilliant and romantic which is exactly what I was going for. The lanterns, back drop and other items that he used to decorate were stunning. At one point during our meetings, I was trying to save some money so I wanted to cut out the back drop, but because Derrick wanted our day to be special, he said don't worry about it and threw it in (who does that)! To top it all off, Derrick had a photoshoot the day before my wedding and ended up with a ton of extra flowers that matched my decor and gave us all of the extra that he had. We were married shortly after gay marriage was legalized throughout the United States. History was made. We asked Derrick Taylor & his designers to create the wedding of our dreams. Crystal chandeliers capped the room, as floral tapesty lighting on walls in subtle blue carressed the walls.
