Dr Bolouri is a good dentist, he has a great sense of humor, and is very good at what he does. This review is about Dr Bolouri only not Teamsters dental clinic. The clinic is a whole different story. read more

Nice Dental Care and with compassionate work. We live in NE but most definitely worth the drive, Darryl

(copied from my google review that they flagged) This is going to be convoluted but something is better than nothing. Maybe I can spare some fellow low-income/OHP folks some trouble. Poor communication around estimates, payments, appointments and treatment. Too busy for their own good.. The doctor and dental assistant were openly talking about how over scheduled they were and it showed based on how frantically they were running around before/during/after my appointment and how little time I was given to ask questions and how little information I was given about what I could expect moving forward from both a treatment perspective and a financial perspective. When I tried to ask these questions at the front desk afterwards I was gaslit about my circumstances, treated rudely and was basically told "the doctor should have discussed this with you" to which I said.. "Yea... exactly." Eventually the doctor comes out to speak with me and apologize while we discuss my situation.. albeit in earshot of the 7-10 other people in the crowded waiting room. Nice private place to discuss medical matters. Without going into too much detail, they cancelled an appointment of mine and weren't able to reschedule until more than a month later. There was no check in about how that scheduling/rescheduling would pertain to my specific treatment plan (seems like maybe they didn't really have one). Then I am basically told that because my situation deteriorated over that time I could be looking at a worse/expensive diagnosis.. when that delay was out of my control. Now, I am home a day after getting work done with some of the same symptoms persisting and I don't even know if it's worth calling them to ask questions about what I should do/what I can expect. Not a good feeling. If I am going to have to pay out of pocket for treatment I want to at least feel confident that the people I am paying are looking out for my best interests and aren't too overwhelmed to miss important details. Lastly, I should have had multiple appointments scheduled when I left; a follow up appointment for a root canal and cleanings. They were so overwhelmed that none of these appointments were made. Maybe it's for the best. Anybody know of any good dentists? EDIT: quick google search and I see I'm not the only one to have this type of experience. That's depressing. read more

They suck. They don't seem to care about your bad experience with appointments. I set my original appt 2 months out which is a long wait and when they called to remind me, their times were wrong. So I took down what they thought my time should be and the next day when I showed up for my appt, they said I was an Hour Late. 1.) I am never late for appt's and 2.) If they should never tell a patient that they are late and work with them. Which they didn't do. Awful ethics and customer service. read more

Bad chair side manner Shoddy work Doesn't stand by his own work. (Expensive right upper partial dropped off about two years later, now I have what looks like a full silver tooth where the bridge was bolted to and a flipper replacing the more realistic and same color partial) New upper flipper now shows one brownish tooth and one metal on side. He didn't match color at ALL. Looks terrible. He also did a filling on front tooth and put a bigger crown than my natural front tooth! I can't even fit everything in this page that describes my horrible treatment, both personal and aesthetic. I can say that I paid out several thousand to Dr. Bolouri only to have a worse smile and dental trauma. I've found a new dentist who has done a lot of work to repair what Bolouri did. He's very nice, thorough and does excellent work. ( I left him a glowing review, which he deserves.) read more

I went to see Dr. Bolouri today. I had been to another dentist in Milwaukie who I wasn't impressed by. Turns out my concerns were well-founded because I made an appointment with Dr. Bolouri to have an old filling removed and replaced (based on urgent recommendation of other dentist) and Dr. Bolouri told me it actually didn't need to be replaced. He also told me that my night guard, which the other dentist told me needed to be replaced as well, didn't have to be. He wasn't concerned with making money off me, he was concerned about being a good dentist and he had MY best interests at heart. Basically my point is that Dr. Bolouri is a lovely person, a great dentist and a man of great integrity. I cannot recommend him more highly. read more

Not only will you have to wait at least 3 months between appointments, they have horrible patient services once you are there. For one thing, when you finally get your appointment, don't expect to be seen on time. I have waited for anywhere between 10 and 30 minutes to be seen. And good luck getting anyone to call you back or respond to emails. Also, it is obvious by the way you are treated that the receptionists either hate their job, or they're just downright rude people. After a year of bad experiences, I finally switched dentists and submitted the required paperwork for my dental records to be sent to my new dentist, and big surprise they never followed up. I had to call and email 4 to 5 times to get any response. Finally they said that they had sent them, but the other office had not received them. It has been almost a month since my initial request, and still no records have been transferred. I really don't understand why they have any patients at all. read more

Finally had a bad root canal redone after Bolouri left a piece of his file in my root, didn't tell me and covered it up and it of course it became infected. Not cool!!! read more

Generally I hate the dentist, but I love going to Dr Bolouri's office as he and his excellent staff are passionate about what they do. I have been taking my family to see Dr. Bolouri since at least 2006, on the recommendation of a co-worker. The Dr and his staff are some of the nicest, most caring people I have meet. The work they do is top-notch and the Dr always has the time to answer questions and address concerns. When I had a crown come lose they had me in ASAP to fix it at N/C, even after I hadn't been in for quite awhile due to being unemployed. He has also managed to fix the issues I had with work done by less than competent dentists in the past. If looking for a new Dentist, give them a call and see for yourself. You won't be disappointed! read more

I took my 96 year old mother to Dr. Bolouri to have a cap replaced and I was very pleased by the care she received. She has vision and hearing problems and walks with a walker and, not only has she not been to a dentist for about two years due to health problems but she is on a limited income. We were greeted by a very friendly front office staff in a quiet airy waiting room, she was shortly escorted to the operatory area by a friendly tech who spoke clearly so my mom could understand what she was saying and within about 45 minutes her cap was replaced. They offered to set her up with another appointment for cleaning but when I mentioned her limited income, the receptionist let me know this would be covered by her insurance. She also received a senior discount and a birthday gift card for her May birthday to offset part of the cost of re-gluing the cap. I was very pleased with the friendliness of the staff, the welcoming attitude and we will be back for a cleaning. read more

Receptionists are very abrupt and seem to not have had any phone etiquette or customer service training. My doctor had horrible bedside manner, including talking over me to hygienist and trying to take full credit for a previous filling the same hygienist assisted on (unprofessional and childish outside of the breakroom!) And worst, on my last visit, I expressed concern about some discomfort in a tooth they had not treated yet and was immediately dismissed. Doctor never even looked at it and told me to call them if it became a problem, despite me mentioning it was already a problem at that moment. read more

My experience here was traumatizing. I ordered a flipper because I have a missing tooth in the front and I lost the one I had so I needed the same one done again. I went for the consultation and they did measurements and ordered the same exact flipper with the same color tooth as the last flipper and added my measurements. First of all, I was told it would be ready in about 3 days so I waited 3 days with a missing tooth and called to see if it was ready and then they added another week. When I went the following week to finally pick up the flipper, It was the wrong color tooth and they had not added the wires that it needed. Also, it did not fit at all. The dentist, Dr. Bolouri, looked at it and said ''Oops, we forgot the wires and it is a different color tooth.'' He tried it on and it did not fit at all so he goes to the back and SHAVES down the tooth without asking me or even letting me know he was going to do that. He tries it on me again and says ''I shaved the tooth a tad bit to see if it would fit better.'' The tooth was shaved down so much that it was shorter than all of my teeth and looked absolutely horrible. I said ''This retainer doesn't fit me at all and it isn't even my color. Also, the tooth is completely shorter than the rest of my teeth. Dr. Bolouri was very aggressive towards me and said ''Well the tooth color isn't that bad and it is not very noticeable.'' I would not care as much if this wasn't a 450 dollar flipper that I have to buy with my own money. Not only did I have to wait for longer than I was told and had to nearly talk for more than a week because I was so embarrassed to have anyone see that I am missing a tooth, but everything about it was wrong and I was treated so poorly. I cried instantly and went to the waiting room while my mom talked to him. She said to him ''I'm sorry, she gets so emotional about this because it's so embarrassing for her and she is scared of the hole for the tooth closing up and having to get braces again. You know what this dentist responded to my mother? ''I don't give a shit about your daughter. She cannot walk away when she is upset. I am done here'' and walked away. I have never had someone be so incredibly rude and disrespectful to not just me but my family. My mom was so hurt that she went to her car and cried because of the way we were treated. My sister went to this dentist more than 5 years ago and was treated so poorly during a surgery that she never went there again. She waited until she could get another dentist that would cover her insurance but she would absolutely never set foot at this dentist office ever again. I wrote this review to let everyone know because I would never want this experience to happen to ANYONE in this entire world. Today I have experienced the worst treatment and it would break my heart to watch others go through this. I did not write this to slander a business. I simply wrote this to let others know before it could happen to them. read more

Dr. Bolouri and his staff are fabulous! I have been skeptical of dentists and insurance after getting ripped off by another ones. My family and I have been a long time patient and I trust him 100% with his work. I will never go anywhere else, I drive all the way from NW Portland to get there and it's more than worth it.They do not pressure you for work that does not need to be done. They work great with my insurance. The office staff is top notch and I feel like I get great personal service. Lastly Dr Bolouri is a huge soccer fan and he plays soccer which makes it much more fun... read more

I can't get over how great my experience at this office was! I haven't ever needed much in the way of dental work but was concerned about chipping and wear caused by years of clenching and grinding. Dr. Bolouri was so kind, caring, and compassionate. He listens well, discusses treatment options clearly, and does not pressure you into anything. Though I will return for more extensive work, I asked him to replace a filling on my front tooth. When he gave me an injection, I barely even felt it. His work was impeccable and he had the most gentle touch. I am a perfectionist and clearly he is too. His ethics and high level of integrity shine bright. His office environment was very comfortable, clean and sterile. Dr. Bolouri and his staff were so positive and fun, I couldn't stop smiling! I am a dental professional myself and have seen it all over the past ten years...this place is the best! read more
