When I moved here I got "filling" - dental resin, in the very large pockets of rescission. That definitely helped the pain. I got braces and that got me flossing daily. Which always helps gum health, but then I started at Forest Park. Still PLENTY of sensitivity. Still difficult and painful at times. But they made ALL the difference. They have always used WARM water with cleanings and put the water on my tongue to ensure that the water wasn't cold or hitting my sensitive spots. But about 18 months ago I switched to a hydroxyapatite paste instead of "toothpaste." This really was helping with the condition of my teeth. But then Danielle, the hygienist, suggested I dry brush my gums to continue to improve my gum health. With doing that, on my last visit my LARGE rescission pockets went from 4mm to 3mm and they're SHRINKING because of the care that they've directed me to do I've always been very focused on ensuring that I have good dental health but Forest Park's team has REALLY improved my dental health. My boyfriend also goes to Forest Park. He has commented on how organized their administration is, how KIND and how easy they make billing and payment. He said that the office staff has made all the difference for him and he also appreciates their honesty. Because he has had some really bad dentistry and office administrator issues. Forest Park is upfront, honest and HELPFUL. There is literally NOTHING and no one there that could improve. They're wonderful in every way. I just wish the doggies were always there!! Thy have changed the dentist and hygienist twice without notifying me until I was in the chair. The communication and care is not half of what the old team under Dr. Wiley was. It feels very disjointed and almost like they don't enjoy working there. They are like robots with their interpersonal skills. My last cleaning they got water all over my face and chest while doing the cleaning and it seemed like the assistant was a nervous wreck working with the dentist. They left me in the chair twice while not telling me they were stepping out or why. I think they were leaving to take care of other patients during my visit. I never needed two people to do a teeth cleaning in the past. That was strange. Staffing might be a problem since the provider was unavailable for two of my appointments this year. When I've had my teeth cleaned, the hygienist puts a topical anesthetic on my teeth prior to cleaning which makes the process so much more gentle! The staff has photos of their families, of animals, & of places they've traveled on a tv that you can watch while you receive care & that makes the whole process so much nicer! As others have mentioned, they have a huge parking lot and so parking is free & easy. The front staff have been wonderful to work with, hygienists are on point and consistently thorough without making the process painful. Dr Gregson is personable, a kind hearted person towards my family, and above all relatable when discussing teeth. My 8yo just had her tooth pulled pre-orthodontic treatment. She declined nitrous oxide, shed 0 tears and wished the appointment was longer. Dr Gregson walked her out to the koi pond to feed and watch the koi and turtles. I dread the day he retires.

I was moved from one room to another and passed off among different dental assistants. They took X-rays and offered orthodontia and fillings but even with my insurance (Delta Dental) the prices were way too high for me. They got me an appointment the next week for the root canal with Dr.Dar, and during the procedure the dentist cut my permanent retainer and did not get consent, nor figure a plan for after with the retainer. Again, no mention that it had been cut. I had no idea. My teeth started to shift, and I got headaches, and then realized what had happened. I went back to that dentist (and was charged $150 just to be seen and they tried to charge me more), and the dentist was so rude about it and refused to do anything at first. I requested that he just cut the retainer so that it would no longer be pulling and causing more damage, after some back and forth he just removed it, but left all the glue. It was a horrific experience as I had to go back to my orthodontist and go through re-treatment and spend $1500 to fix this careless mistake. My orthodontist was also floored at the situation, and baffled by all of it and especially that they sent me out the door with all that glue. This situation was so frustrating, and not to mention, being in braces is painful and a hassle. (I had been through it already, and to have to be back in braces because of someone else's error that cost me time, energy and lots of money).

For about a month he experienced horrible pain, so he went back and Sims said he still had fragments of the old filling and offered to fix it for free (as he should). During the second attempt not only did Sims split his lip to the point of bleeding while he was numb, but he buffed away the dentin just below the gum line, which caused severe pain. When my partner went back to see him since he was in such pain Sims threw his arms in the air and said, "what do you want me to do about it?" After seeing a new dentist, they suggested MI paste which helped immensely. Why Sims did not think to suggest this or show any amount of care, I can't say. Fast forward to today, my partner's tooth broke during breakfast. I don't know if these two incidents are related, but it makes me wonder. Regardless, Hamilton Sims did a poor job buffing away dentin, and when asked for help he didn't apologize or show any sign of compassion or care. DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST!!
