NEVER USE THEM! my small space started at $70. Within 3 months, it went to $150. I am a substitute teacher. I make state minimum wage. One payment was late. The late fees were astronomical. Due to the price doubling, I could no longer pay on my check on the 1st. I needed it changed to the 15th. Bolt refused, instead gave me $700 in late fees. They auctioned off my space 2 weeks earlier than they said they would-in writing and only told me after they sold everything I owned I'm filing a lawsuit. read more

I would give them a zero if I could rent two spaces at $94 of space to park in a 32 foot camper the gate was broken over the winter. Someone broke into my camper and made a big mess going throw everything and stole my $1200 predator generator that we use for camping out of the camper And then went down this week and somebody tried to pull aluminum inside of the back of the camper probably for scrap metal so I brought it home and it in my yard. I don't care what the Sharon says about a camper parked on my property. Because it's safer in my yard than it is at the Boat Storage and have the campers alongside mine where vandalize with smashed the windows and even worse. Than what you did in my camper, but if I would've left my camper there for a long time, it probably would've been worse and all this happened throughout the winner. The rental prices start great, and go up fast!! Mine went up to $203 within the first year. It started less than $50.

I rented a storage unit and when I moved out they charged me the next month. When I went to do all the requirements they requested. Picture showing cleaned out with the number in the picture. They email said I was good then charged me again. I went back out took another set of pictures. They said it was good then the next day wanted to charge me for clean out. When I called they said there was stuff still in the unit well then if anything was in it when u stole me stuff. Not that there was a the picture shows my cut lock and their lock and a empty area. DO NOT USE THEM. So I'm the end I got charged a extra month and a clean out fee. For a empty storage space. read more

Just a heads up, if anyone is looking for a storage unit DO NOT use Bolt Storage. I used the one on Old Hwy 27 in Trion and first they put me in the wrong unit, which had insulation hanging and I reported and was never fixed. then received water damage to things that's could not be replaced. I then moved to another unit which had insulation hanging as well and received water damage in it as well. Filed claims on both and was never taken care of. The units are getting broken into weekly, and all they will tell you is they don't have time to sit and look at the videos bc they don't know when it happened??? 'removed my things and if you have a unit there would strongly suggest you do the same thing. I would hate for anyone to go through what I have went through with this company. read more

Bolt Storage now owns what used to be Willgues Warehouse in Akron Oh. The Willgues family operated the facility and the service was top notch. Once Bolt took over, they immediately rasied the prices, each year I may add, and everything was either done by phone, text, or email which wasn't any help. The maintenance was minimal and they mandated you have insurance. The "Secured" facilty was broken into and Bolt didn't bother to contact the residents to let them know that they had been burgularized and to check their units to see if they were affected. I was one that was affected and I got no help from Bolt. They did not work with the Police, they claimed that the surveillance video had been disabled. The only way in is with a code and out of all the cameras on site, these criminals knew how to disable them all, I call BS it had to be an inside job..just my opinion. Needless to say the insurance company was a joke I lost over $4,000 in tools and their policy only went up to $2,000 and of that they only offered $1,400 due to $100.00 deductible. They made me jump through hoops just to get that. They gave me the value of items off the internet and most were on a holiday sale price which is ridiculus in my opinon. Bolt and their Insurance company SafeLease are two of the biggest ripoff companies in the world. I suggest you never rent from Bolt and their so-called "Secure" facilities. This company needs to be put out of business for their business practices. Their non-existent customer service, and greed will screrw over anyone who rents at their locations. Bolt storage now owns the storage units that used to be called Penn-Ohio Storage. Let me preface this by saying that my husband and I absolutely LOVED Penn-Ohio. But, Penn-Ohio sold to Bolt Storage without notifying their customers beforehand. Our rent almost DOUBLED and they have made paying the bill difficult. We tried to pay in person like we used to, but there is no longer an onsite office. So, we tried calling to pay the bill. The woman who answered, rudely informed us we could only pay online. We would receive an email with my husband's email and a default password. Every time, it would say "invalid password". FOR TWO MONTHS we have been trying to access our account and when we couldn't, we attempted to call and pay over the phone. Again, we were told that wasn't an option. So, the cycle continued. Fast forward to this evening when we tried paying AGAIN. She informed us that the reason we can't pay is because they locked us out of our online account (which we were never able to set up). And they were going to auction our stuff off for non-payment, eventhough we have been trying to pay. Only after threatening the company with legal action did they allow us to pay over the phone. Then, the receptionist had the audacity to ask if we wanted them to save our card information for the future. No, thank you, ma'am. We'll be finding another company. read more
