After our initial consultation with Kimmylea, we decided to go with the Something Blue package since we were early on in the planning process. With this package we planned alongside Kimmylea and got the day-of coordination. She helped us every step of the way keeping us on track with booking vendors and even recommending vendors as well. Kimmylea was so easy to get into contact with. She always responded in a timely manner and we had several meetings along the way as well which helped us feel prepared. The wedding day was stress-free for my husband and I and our whole family. Kimmylea and Beau set up everything and tore down which was so nice to not have our families worry about. At the end of the night I found out our venue's security guard never showed up and they wouldn't be able to serve alcohol without one. Luckily Beau was able to fill that role due to his occupation. I'm not sure what would have happened if Kimmylea and Beau weren't there, but I'm glad I'll never have to find out. Kimmylea also stepped up when I was feeling uneasy about a last minute DJ switch. We didn't hear from anyone for months. Nothing like adding stress to a bride and groom's wedding! Towards the end of December, we finally pulled the plug and reached back out. Due to personal family situations and the lack of effort or work from House of R - we asked for a refund. After a couple weeks of silence and follow ups, we finally heard back from the team with a confirmation they would issue a refund and stated we should receive within 3-5 business days. The refund NEVER came. Many follow ups, emails, text later - GHOSTED. Thank Goodness our credit card company had out back and was able to dispute the deposit and we got our money back. However, it took 4 months to get to this point. So disappointed. We loved the space and photos of previous work done - but the terrible customer service, zero work done, and lack of follow through with this venue speaks for itself. You've been warned - Just don't waste your time here!

When they say they produce "epic event experiences" they are not kidding - this was a fantastic party! So much thought went into the planning and detail from the décor to the lighting to the food ... there were various Beatles buttons on the tables, drink coasters with song titles, 3 kinds of cake, a bar, charcuterie board, little meat sliders, cardboard cutouts for photo ops, a "phone" to record a message - the list goes on and on. Even the bathroom was decorated and playing Beatles music. The McGuigan Brothers even showed up to play about 90 minutes of Beatles covers (a la their well known Interactive Beatles experience show). The birthday girl had a blast as did her family and friends. Many of us hadn't seen each other in the past couple years and several people even flew into town for the party. This was a great place to host this type of event. I was dropping hints to my spouse that a Bowie themed gathering would be pretty cool someday!!

We hired Audra shortly after we got engaged. I had interviewed several wedding planners in the western Iowa/eastern Nebraska area and as soon as I began talking with Audra, I knew she was the one. I could tell she really loved her job and this showed throughout the whole process. It was kind of like hiring a family member to guide us along the way to keep us stress free even when talking about the budget. Not only was Audra accessible, responsive, and just on it for the six months leading up to the day, but she literally saved the day when bad weather rolled in the day of the wedding. All while problem-solving weather issues, she was guiding me through the day without me ever having to ask for anything. It was right there before I even needed it. The entire wedding party and my family loved her. Audra was truly a gift to us from the beginning. She made planning a wedding fun, which was probably the biggest gift any one could give us. In short, Audra is organized, efficient, detail-oriented, goes the extra mile and then some, is an excellent negotiator on your behalf, and does this all with a genuine smile. I popped in for a little something to eat.. it's all kinds of sweet little gem, in a town that is trying to re-do its self. Sat at a table to order, prompt and friendly staff. Ordered the Statesmen- on a croissant- came with an interesting side salad and a cup of coffee. $13 I think is what I paid. Worth every penny - Sandwich was full of flavor- or the chicken salad was. The croissant wasn't anything special, and the side salad aka dessert was something I've never had before- apples, grapes, nuts and snickers with a whip of some sort. How fun and silly, plus the coffee was a perfect cup of good old coffee. I'd recommend this quaint little spot- sit and just absorb all the nuance.

The party started with the girls getting to pick out a dress and shoes of their choice, followed by a full on glam room with vanities to do their makeup, a nail painting station in the middle, and a set up of different kid favorites scented perfumes. Most of the girls chose cotton candy this round. Once all were fully ready they took a picture with the birthday girl and then each individually walked the pink carpet where they held a pose at the end, got their picture taken, and then sat down at the table for a cupcake and tea party. The tea was apple juice or water with chocolate and vanilla cupcakes. Then they would change get the picture of themself that was taken and get to go home! This is such an amazing space and a really fun birthday for your girlie girls!!

Nothing extra was done to make the birthday girl feel special. Several parents stayed and she never offered them a drink. Her son helped but he was really not much better. The fashion show was really fun but the pictures to take home were grainy and cheap. When I mentioned this must be a fun job she said in a grumpy tone- not after you have done several in a row. Maybe time to have someone who wants to do this run it. Not worth $400
