We recently dined at Bombay Bistro, and here are my thoughts on the experience. Bandra Vada Pav - I'm from Mumbai, so this wasn't quite the authentic Vada Pav I'm used to, but my kid enjoyed it. It wasn't too spicy, and my kid liked that the pav had a nice crisp exterior. Misal Pav - Not the traditional version with misal, tari, and farsan, but still a decent dish overall. Rawa Batata Tikki Chaat - A bit sweeter than I prefer, but still enjoyable. Next time, I'll ask for a spicier version. Chili Paneer - This one hit the mark. We ordered it at a 4/4 spice level, and it delivered both heat and flavour Veg Hakka Noodles - One of my favorites of the night. We chose a 3/4 spice level, and it paired really well with the chili paneer. The noodles were slightly dry, but the taste made up for it Mocktail - The only miss for us. It was a lemonade with blue syrup (I forgot the exact name), but it was overly sweet. Service - We arrived around 9 PM, and although the restaurant was about half empty, we were still asked to wait for seating. The servers also forgot to bring dinner plates, so we ended up using appetizer plates for our entrées. Overall - The food was enjoyable, and we'll definitely return for the flavors. The service, however, could benefit from more training, guidance, and attention. read more

We went for lunch, with a party of four, and it was a very nice experience. We arrived and were seated right away in a spacious booth. The waiter stopped by and took drink orders, their margaritas are refreshing. We started with Samosas, Chicken 65, and Chicken Lollipops as appetizers. All were fresh and tasty. For entrees we had Shrimp Vindaloo, Butter Chicken, and 2 Biryanis, adding Naan. Everything was cooked and presented well and excellent. The service was great, the waiter was friendly, prompt, and professional. The price was a little steep, but not unreasonable. Overall an outstanding spot for Indian fare. read more

3 stars for the food; 5 stars for the drinks, service and ambience This place is tucked away in the corner of the same strip mall as Trader Joe's. Plenty of parking-- no issues there. Their menu is quite impressive. But that's about it. There wasn't a wow factor in anything we ordered. Let's start with Misal pav- you cannot fool a Mumbaikar. What these guys served was not Misal Pav. Their jackfruit kofta was quite good-- it didn't taste like jackfruit at all. The chicken and soy chaap lacked heat-- a bit too bland for us. Actually all the dishes were wow to look at but because of the lack of spice, we couldn't relish anything. Apparently they deliberately dial down the spice levels to cater to folks who can't tolerate heat. And I totally get that. But you have to have at least a minimal amount of heat, else the flavor is totally gone. Let's talk about the pluses-- the cocktails were excellent. We got the Kokum Kand and Kala Khatta. Best I have ever had in an Indian restaurant. Our waiter Sai was extremely attentive and friendly. 5 star service. The music was totally banging. And the decor was nice too. We were there with our group close to 2.5 hours and nobody bothered us the whole time. Icing on the cake was the Shahi Tukda dessert. I am still willing to give this place another go. Because this establishment seems promising and wants to get it right. Just add some chili powder and we are good! read more

We visited Bombay Bistro and tried the Ajwain Fish Tikka, Chicken Fried Rice, and a mango mocktail. The Ajwain Fish Tikka was really good. The ajwain flavor came through nicely, and the fish was soft, fresh, and very tasty. Everything about the dish worked well, though I did feel it was a bit pricey for the quantity offered. The Chicken Fried Rice was the highlight for me. I've tried chicken fried rice at different places around Seattle, and this one is honestly the best so far. It had the right amount of spice, great flavor, and was very satisfying. The mango mocktail was just okay. It tasted a little too sweet and syrupy for my liking. I also went back another time to try the biryani, but unfortunately, it was not good. So for the main course, I'd recommend going with the Chicken Fried Rice or trying their naans instead of the biryani. Overall, a good spot with good and delicious food. read more

7/7/2026 The taste is standard as I ordered the Goat Vindaloo. The small bowl has very little meat but a lot of bones. I am very disappointed to find out from my receipt through email that I paid tip on tax in addition to tip on food after selected the 15% tip on their tablet. It is generally good to pay tip for the food but be careful with the pre-calculated 15% ,20%, 25% tip selection on the Waiter's tablet. They made you/me pay tip not only on food but on tax as well if you selected one of those 3 option for tip. since tip should only be based on the total cost of the food but not based on the total cost of the food plus total tax. So we are ended up paying tip not only for the food but also paying tip for the tax as well. I think this is dishonest business that they purposely pre-calculated tip based on both the total cost of the food plus total tax. I don't mind to pay tip on food but It is just stupid that we have to pay tip on tax in addition to tip on food. I'm boycotting this Bombay Bistro Redmond restaurant for good and spread the words out. read more

We pretty much loved everything we tried except gulab jamun doesn't really go with the shrikhand they serve with it.Seperately both taste good but was too sweet. Other than that everything was delicious. Service was quick and efficient and ambience is kinda fancy and justifies the price point for this area too. Came in a couple days ago for the first time. Super big inside and is nice for a work party dinner or just with friends. Wanted to try the famous street food and asked for samosa chaat and dahi puri. I think one of the servers there wasn't fully versed with the menu because he kept insisting that they didn't offer samosa chaat, even though I had previously called the restaurant before arriving to confirm that they offered it on the menu. Luckily though, we were able to clear it up with another member of their staff and were able to order the chaat. Food was good! Samosa chaat is worth the price and they give you 2 samosas and your money's worth, though I would have preferred a little more channa dal gravy, but I'd still get it again. I think some people like thick naan, but I personally the one they serve here, where it's thinner and tears easily, instead of thick and stretchy. Makes it easier to scoop curry onto. The Dahi Puri didn't wow me as much, maybe because it felt like something I could easily put together at home and didn't come with that many puris. Maybe it's for people who aren't familiar with the dish, who don't know what it is. But I didn't think it was worth almost $11, basically the same price as the chaat. Overall though, I think I'd come back here and try more of the dinner options, they looked promising. And the restaurant has a vast number of popular street food options too which I'd like to check out in the future. read more

A new fine dining in town with plenty of parking and a great ambiance! It's one of the new ones with QR codes and it did take couple of tries to get the QR code working for me and it usually works in the first attempt at most places! We were tight on schedule and given that there seem to be 4-5 families waiting for the order, we went ahead with take out. The service did seem bit slower than expected! Hakka Noodles - this was as good as we get back in India. This might be the dish for which I might think of going back. Everything from the noodles, chicken and veggies were perfect! The medium spice level was met! Bandra Vada Paav - this was great. Would not call it exceptionally great as I would have loved more flavor and spice in the patty and the garlic chutney. Peshwari Kadai Paneer - was oily but the sauce and the paneer were great! The Tandoori Roti and Naan were ok. Chowpatty Dahi Poori - while the Poori & the potatoes masala was great, the yogurt was super sweet than usual. It was like a dessert. read more

I went to order today, and it seems like they removed Butter Chicken. I tried searching multiple ways. Lovely place with great ambiance . Served were nice and quick . Went on Sunday for early dinner and they had happy hour going on where it was 15% off on appetizer . Appetizer quantity was good enough for 2 people with one dish. Noodles were street side noodles , pavbhaji was great . I didn't like chat as it was not crispy. Took dal makhani and panner pasanda. The restaurant interior is upscale and welcoming, making it a great choice if you're looking for an Indian restaurant for special occasions. Comes to the most important part of the review: I mixed my picks between my own choices and some popular ones suggested by my gracious waiter, Ankit. And, Ankit was right--the popular dishes, mutton soup, lamb chops, and Murgh Banjara, blew us away with their finesse in taste and presentation. Hmmm let's start with the nice decor, large space, friendly service and plenty of parking. The restaurant was freezing cold though, we kept our warm jackets on the entire time, that's not comfortable to eat. The tables are also very small/narrow, so 4 people ordering food with side dishes and you had to juggle what goes where, that was kind of annoying. They seem to not be deep enough and they won't give you a larger table, even though the place was half empty. The food needs some more oomph and spices, I had the korma, ok - nothing to write home about, the Tikka masala was very tomato heavy and also lacked flavor. We ordered 3* and barely got any spice at all. The garlic naan gave me bloating, which I never experienced with Indian naan (unless it was something else in the meat dish). I think they need to work out more kinks, I'll definitely give it another chance in a couple of weeks to see if there was improvement in the flavor. read more

We really enjoyed our experience here! The drinks, appetizers, and breads were all delicious, and the cheese garlic naan was such a hit with my kid. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. The Kohlapuri chicken curry also had great flavor and depth, but it was much sweeter than expected. Authentic Kohlapuri chicken curry is usually known for its bold spicy heat, so I was hoping for a spicier version rather than a sweet one. Most of the servers were expressionless and uninterested. They did not have any physical menus as they just updated their menu. The qr code provided barely work and did not have the full menu. We were handed a very run down torn old menu to decide our drinks Coming to the food - would give it 3.5 stars but a lot of misses and a few hits The aloo tikki and afghani chaap were great The peshawari chicken ( medium spicy ) was extremely spicy and not edible. No spice, no heat, no depth. it tasted like the plain rice you'd get with Middle Eastern kebabs or mandi, just borrowing the wrong name. The lamb galouti for $20? Forget minced lamb, this was straight-up lamb paste. The texture was toothpaste, and instead of lamb flavor you just get buried under a landslide of spices. Not spicy, just spiced to death, like they were trying to hide the fact there was supposed to be meat in there. Chili chicken? Basically sweet & sour chicken wearing a fake mustache. Zero chili, all sugar. The samosa was fine, the naan was fine; but only because they didn't come up with a new way to ruin them. Horrible service and the server was so rude and fighting and refusing to give us Gulab Jamun with Vanilla Ice cream despite making a request. They menu had Gajar Halwa with Vanilla Ice cream and Gulab Jamun with Blueberry ice cream. We requested if they can give Gulab Jamun with Vanilla Ice cream. If they want to refuse, they could have done that politely. But the waiter - we don't know what his name was - he looked like he was of origin and had an American accent - fault refused angrily. And not just that, when we said it is there in the menu, if they cannot give this combo can they give separately, we are willing to pay - he accused us of "being hyper". My Uncle very kindly apologized but despite that the waiter was so rude. Bombay Bistro Redmond didn't just lose 1 customer, they lost 4 customers. We were there for the birthday dinner of my Aunt and we were left with the most bitter experience. Disgusted beyond words can explain. We ordered Misal Pav, Paneer chilli, fries(kids), Paneer Pasanda and Garlic naan. Misal Pav tasted excellent. I wish they had the authentic square plates for serving this. The plates were too small to eat this. We ordered fries for the kids, but they showed up at the end of the meal after we finished our dinner. It would have been convinient for these to come first for our toddler. The staff realized this and did not charge us for this. Paneer pasanda was quite authentic and garlic naan met expectations. Definitely would love to come here again. The place flows with good intentions and with more practice can become top notch read more

I ordered takeout from Bombay's Bistro today. I've never eaten here before. The food was very good! I started with the Bandra Vada Pao, a very tasty little sandwich! Still a bit crispy around the potato ball when it arrived, great flavors! Next I had the butter chicken, it was very creamy. Not the best flavored butter chicken I've ever had but still very good and the chicken was SO tender. Probably the most tender chicken I've ever had in a curry dish. The garlic naan was okay. A little flat but not bad. I finished with their blueberry gulab jamun. Very tasty. My one complaint is that 2 balls is a smaller portion size than I expected for $13. read more

I was very happy the Redmond, WA location was open on Christmas. We got take out including: Baigan Bharta - very tasty eggplant dish Cheese garlic naan - perfect with the eggplant Achari Paneer Tikka - Paneer coated with a tasty seasoning Tandoori chicken - yum They inadvertently left out an order of butter chicken but when I called to report that, there was no fuss. I could either come get it or they would refund to my card. Gracious and apologetic. The atmosphere of the restaurant looks very inviting. Next time, I will eat in. TERRIBLE! Absolutely terrible service. My dad waited over an hour and a half for 7 items. Which was supposed to be 12. He handed over his phone with the order from their website and amounts of each which would have totaled $145. Which the price isn't worth the amount of food we would have received. I understand that it was busy but he noticed many people coming in, ordering more food than he did and leaving before him. Very discriminatory behavior and prioritizing others based on ethnicity. Very pissed at the results of the food and will NOT be returning. Thank you for the lack of attention to detail and diplorable service. read more

Really excited about this place opening so i thought I'd order take out. Ordered the lamb vindaloo. The amount I paid for versus the amount of lamb I received was disappointing. We've been here a couple of times as a family, and the ambiance is great. Recently, I booked a table for a friend's send-off, and they accommodated us with a wonderful seating arrangement. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious -- we especially loved their Khatta meetha Mojito, and the naans were the best: soft and light, not dense at all. Their Chicken Kolhapur and Lamb Chettinad are excellent as well. Overall, a wonderful experience and a perfect place for both family visits and group gatherings. read more

This is a great place to dine in. Ambience is great and food was very good. The service was a bit slow and they forgot to bring one of our dishes but when we reminded them, they immediately got it.
