    Chowpatty Dahi Puri

Came in a couple days ago for the first time. Super big inside and is nice for a work party dinner or just with friends. Wanted to try the famous street food and asked for samosa chaat and dahi puri. I think one of the servers there wasn't fully versed with the menu because he kept insisting that they didn't offer samosa chaat, even though I had previously called the restaurant before arriving to confirm that they offered it on the menu. Luckily though, we were able to clear it up with another member of their staff and were able to order the chaat. Food was good! Samosa chaat is worth the price and they give you 2 samosas and your money's worth, though I would have preferred a little more channa dal gravy, but I'd still get it again. I think some people like thick naan, but I personally the one they serve here, where it's thinner and tears easily, instead of thick and stretchy. Makes it easier to scoop curry onto. The Dahi Puri didn't wow me as much, maybe because it felt like something I could easily put together at home and didn't come with that many puris. Maybe it's for people who aren't familiar with the dish, who don't know what it is. But I didn't think it was worth almost $11, basically the same price as the chaat. Overall though, I think I'd come back here and try more of the dinner options, they looked promising. And the restaurant has a vast number of popular street food options too which I'd like to check out in the future.

Off the menu. Just ask for it

Delicious! Naan was the thin flimsy kind. Butter chicken was good as always. Went on a weekday so it was pretty empty. Service was attentive and atmosphere was quiet

It was better than expected. I tried chicken kolhapur and it was very flavourful. The lacha paratha was great but I felt it was too buttery - but flavour wise nothing to complain about. The ambience of Bombay Bistro is really upscale. It doesn't get better than this.

Stopped by for dinner and it didn't disappoint. We pretty much loved everything we tried except gulab jamun doesn't really go with the shrikhand they serve with it.Seperately both taste good but was too sweet. Other than that everything was delicious. Service was quick and efficient and ambience is kinda fancy and justifies the price point for this area too. Would recommended for a date night or indulgent dinner.

A new fine dining in town with plenty of parking and a great ambiance! It's one of the new ones with QR codes and it did take couple of tries to get the QR code working for me and it usually works in the first attempt at most places! We were tight on schedule and given that there seem to be 4-5 families waiting for the order, we went ahead with take out. The service did seem bit slower than expected! Hakka Noodles - this was as good as we get back in India. This might be the dish for which I might think of going back. Everything from the noodles, chicken and veggies were perfect! The medium spice level was met! Bandra Vada Paav - this was great. Would not call it exceptionally great as I would have loved more flavor and spice in the patty and the garlic chutney. Peshwari Kadai Paneer - was oily but the sauce and the paneer were great! The Tandoori Roti and Naan were ok. Chowpatty Dahi Poori - while the Poori & the potatoes masala was great, the yogurt was super sweet than usual. It was like a dessert.

Freakin yum. Perfectly executed Indian flavors. We got both dishes at a medium spice level which tasted more like a mild (I like my shit hot hottt) but I was able to ask for a side of green chillies which did the trick My only complaint is that I wish they had a physical menu instead of a QR code.

Would give the food 3.5-4 stars, but cutting one star for service. The restaurant is marketing itself as an upscale dining restaurant, but their service needs a lot of improvement. Most of the servers were expressionless and uninterested. They did not have any physical menus as they just updated their menu. The qr code provided barely work and did not have the full menu. We were handed a very run down torn old menu to decide our drinks Coming to the food - would give it 3.5 stars but a lot of misses and a few hits The aloo tikki and afghani chaap were great The peshawari chicken ( medium spicy ) was extremely spicy and not edible. Chicken banjara was really dry We ordered their kala khata cocktail and ginger mocktail - both were good but the kala khata cocktail was very very sweet. Overall, there is a stark difference between their marketing and experience. Their service needs drastic improvement. Would not recommend

nice-looking restaurant, cool décor, feels like you're about to get a proper feast. Too bad the food didn't get the memo. The dum chicken biryani had absolutely nothing to do with biryani. No spice, no heat, no depth. it tasted like the plain rice you'd get with Middle Eastern kebabs or mandi, just borrowing the wrong name. The lamb galouti for $20? Forget minced lamb, this was straight-up lamb paste. The texture was toothpaste, and instead of lamb flavor you just get buried under a landslide of spices. Not spicy, just spiced to death, like they were trying to hide the fact there was supposed to be meat in there. Chili chicken? Basically sweet & sour chicken wearing a fake mustache. Zero chili, all sugar. The samosa was fine, the naan was fine; but only because they didn't come up with a new way to ruin them. Overall, Bombay Bistro has the vibe and the décor nailed down, but the food? Feels like the chef read the recipe titles, skipped the actual recipes, and just winged it.

The food was so delicious that we completely forgot to take pictures of the dishes we tried! We ordered the Lucknowi Katori Chaat, Aloo Kulcha served with chole, Lucknowi Butter Chicken, Roomali Roti, Tandoori Naan, Mango Shikanji, and Shahi Lassi. Everything was absolutely flavorful and satisfying. The Shahi Mango Lassi was just okay for us, but the rest of the items were outstanding. What truly impressed me was that after we finished our meal, they served us a finger bowl. That's something very common in India but not so common here, and I absolutely loved that thoughtful touch. The name truly reflects their celebration-worthy food and service. Highly recommend for a cozy and delicious dining experience!

Service was a bit hit and miss and hence 3 stars not 4. We ordered nadru, panj puri and Rajma kebabs as starters. Nadru was good but others were okay. For main course we ordered lababdar paneer and jackfruit curry. Paneer was good, jackfruit was okay. Service was spotty, one of the glasses leaked water on our table but nobody came to wipe it off. Our bread order came out in parts. 1 person was eating first while others were waiting for bread to come out. Overall, okay place if you are in the area and want to try some Indian food.

We grabbed the Rajma Chawal and Chole Bhature for mains, they were decent enough to hit the spot. The snacks were where it got a little tricky. The Ram Ladoo and Kachori Chat tasted good, but they were barely lukewarm. Kind of a bummer since you really want those hot! On the flip side, the Lamb appetizer was incredible super soft and juicy. Definitely the star of the show. We finished with desserts and they totally saved the day. The Kulfi Falooda was 10/10, and the Shashi tukda was the perfect sweet finish.

The ambience was pleasant and lively, which set a nice tone for the meal. We started with the Kachori Chaat, which unfortunately was just average - not bad, but nothing memorable either. Next came the Butti Ka Murg, and this completely changed the experience. The chicken was juicy, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. Easily the standout dish of the night - absolutely delicious. The Amritsari Kulcha was also excellent, with great stuffing and good taste. However, the chole served alongside it was just okay and didn't quite match the quality of the bread. Drinks were decent but nothing special. Overall, the food had some real highs and some middling items. We felt the pricing was on the higher side for the value and consistency offered. Would probably come back for specific dishes (especially the Butti Ka Murg), but not necessarily for a full meal.
