    Vada Pav
    Yash K.

We went here on a Friday evening and tried the Vada Pav, Palak Poori & Chana Masala and the Samosa Chaat. The servers were very friendly and told us their specials and popular dishes. We also got the masala chai which came in a kulhad cup. The chai was nice and had a strong ginger flavor. The Palak Poori was good and chana masala as well but the portion size felt small and not super filling for the price. Same with vada pav, I was expecting 2 at the price which is the typical standard in a plate, but they gave only 1. The vada itself was delicious with a dinner roll instead of a traditional pav. Overall I think they have really good food and can be considered for casual meetings or snacks. I didn't feel the portion size was enough for a full dinner given the prices.

Had lunch here this weekend and absolutely loved everything about this cool, casual café. Honestly, we need more spots like this around! You order at the counter, pick up your food when it's ready, and bus your own table. Everything is made fresh to order, which I really appreciate. Since the chef is Bengali, we had to try the luchi puri with dum aloo -- three pieces of perfectly puffed puri with a generous serving of dum aloo. We also got the palak puri with aloo subzi and that was fantastic as well. But the star of the lunch was the gobi Manchurian. Oh my word -- hands down the best I've ever had. Super crispy, coated in just the right amount of sauce so it stayed dry and crunchy, exactly how we like it. The adrak chai was excellent too. Service was quick, and the menu has so many things we still want to try. We'll definitely be back!

Stopped by on a Friday evening. Was pleasantly surprised with the lovely chai and we liked pretty much everything we tried. Just one feedback is to please stop usage of single use plastic or at least switch to biodegradable options. It doesn't feel good to cause wastage plus I didn't like eating the delicious hot Gobi Manchurian off a plastic box. Service was super quick and friendly. Ambience is casual and nice.

The dahi puri was so delightful, bright crunchy, sweet. Could have used (more?) onion and maybe a little kick, but still something I'd come back for. I came for the Bombay sandwich and honestly was kind of disappointed. The only flavor I got was green bell pepper. The chutney was barely there and I was kind of confused why there wasn't more flavor overall. One hit, one miss.

A new Indian place in Bellevue that has good food and good chai. We liked the food so much we have been back a few times already and tried a lot of the items on the menu. Our first visit we had Palak poori with aloo masala, Dal Kachori with Chana masala, Kadak chai, and Mango shake. We loved both the Palak poori and Dal Kachori. My husband loved his Kadak chai and I liked my Mango shake. Over the next few visits we have had Poori with aloo masala, Delux Chicken tikka kathi roll, Halwa poori & chana masala, Masala Omelet, Veg cutlet, Kheema pav, Chicken tikka burger, Cheese chili toast, Chicken Cheese chili toast, Dahi poori, Papdi chaat. We have loved all the items we tried. Kheema pav and Cheese Chili toast are standouts. For dessert we have had Gulab Jamun, and Rasmalai and liked them both.

I had filter coffee, chili cheese toast and chicken Tikka burger. The flavors of both were great! I would come back for the filter coffee too! The bread is the toast did seem too hard but the toppings help. The food does take 15 or so minutes to come out but worth the wait.

    Tazgi Chai (mint flavor)

We ordered various chais- Tazgi chai (mint), Kesar Chai, Kodak Chai, Elaichi Chai.. all tasted 100% true to their names! Very fresh and authentic chais. We loved the spicy vegetable poha as well, the crispy peanuts with lots of veggies made the perfect combo with the chai! The sandwich was mild flavor, but perfect for our toddler. Overall, superb experience in terms of speedy service (considering it was really busy the time we went). The place was noisy, but not something you could do about it. Not a place for a romantic date on a busy weekend evening, but great for a good getaway for families/couples.

Went early on a Saturday and the place was not very crowded. The restaurant is pretty spacious and well maintained for an Indian restaurant, but given that it just recently opened, not that surprising. We ordered chilli chicken Kathi roll, palak puri, kheema, kachori, batura and chai. The chilli chicken Kathi roll had too much sauce and it was extremely spicy. So much so that we felt like we were just mostly eating very spicy hot/schezwan sauce. The alone overpowered the taste. The palak pooris, batura and kachoris were freshly made and not soggy in the slightest but the accompanying curries were just alright. The kheema was slightly salty so couldn't eat too much of it. The chai - would not recommend. Ironical that they couldn't keep up with their namesake- the chai was utterly lacking. I felt like I was having a very sweet and full fat creamy milk rather than tea. Also, they serve everything in disposable plates, cutlery which, even though are compostable are disposed in the same trash can as the tea cups which are not compostable. Creates a huge waste. What's the point of dining in if we are still creating waste as take-out *sigh*

Tried the place a few days back. They have good North Indian snack options with decent taste. The chai is actually good too. I am generally skeptical about any place in Greater Seattle area serving decent chai but the place having its name as chai ought to be serving decent chai. And they didn't disappoint. If you are in the Bellevue area - definitely stop by here.

I would walk by often so I am excited that it's finally open! I have never had real chai (starbucks is not good...) before and the staff was more than helpful giving recs, since I also have some allergies. I got the Irani chai (tea leaves, cardamon, sugar, & milk) and it was very yummy. It felt like medicine for the soul. It is super hot though so be careful!! Since the weather is warming up, it would be nice to have an iced option but i don't know if that wouldn't be traditional I also got the chicken tikka kathi roll which was delicious & perf for a quick lunch on the go. Excited to try more off the menu!! Congrats on the grand opening :)

Such a lovely little cafe with a range of street food that feels nostalgic and varied. Visited for lunch and had a seamless experience. Service is friendly, cafe is clean and the food was nice. I'm excited to go back :)

The menu is quite small with three cold sandwiches and three hot ones, each inspired by a different region of the globe with the South Pacific, South America and Mediterranean as a few examples. There were two salads listed as well. I've been here twice and both times, when I went to place my order on the iPad, the menu stated they were out of stock for the sandwich that I wanted. However, when I asked the employee, she said that was not correct. So if you see the same message when ordering, it's worth asking about it! During my first visit, I ordered the RENDANG ($14). This hot sandwich came packed with SO much meat! Very tender chunks of marinated beef tasted of coconut, curry and warm spices. The flavor had true depth and I could actually taste hints of cinnamon and nutmeg. Thin spears of pickled cucumber and carrot added crunch and a perfect zing of acidity. They were refreshing and cut through the rich beef. A drizzle of Sambal Terasi (chili) aioli gave it another layer of flavor. Cilantro, mint and Thai basil were all fresh and vibrant. The bread was lightly toasted, being a little crinkly in texture without being harsh against my gums. If I could change something, I would include a couple extra slices of the cucumber to balance out the ratio of vegetables to meat, and add a bit more of the aioli. Other than that, this is a great sandwich influenced by flavors of the South Pacific. My companion got the STEAK sandwich ($15) and enjoyed it. The steak slices were thinly cut and tender as well. They do their beef right! On another occasion, I tried the PROSCIUTTO ($14), one of their cold sandwiches. The delicate layers of prosciutto were placed on top of sliced tomatoes, pickled onion and arugula, all between pressed focaccia bread. Truffle mustard was spread on both pieces of bread, which was WAY too much in my opinion. With this mustard having a stronger flavor, it overpowered the sandwich and made it too tangy, especially in combination with the pickled onions. The menu stated this should include pistachios, but I didn't notice any, and they were all out of provolone, so there was also an absence of cheese. For the prices, these sandwiches are pretty generous in size, so I consider them a good deal, especially for the Bellevue area. The ingredients are fresh and make for a fantastic lunch option. While I wasn't a huge fan of the Prosciutto sandwich, I'd definitely go back again for another Rendang!

I pre-ordered the high fiber bread scheduled for pick up on Monday. It was on the menu online and it accepted my payment, and considering it's a pre-order I assumed everything was good to go and they would make my order ready by Monday. I get to the store on Monday in a mad rush because I'm trying to pick up this high fiber bread to take home for my father in law flying back to Taiwan. So I literally made the trip just to get the bread in the morning and then rushed home to take him to the airport. I get to the store and apparently one of the managers said they tried to call me... at 6:30/7AM in the morning leaving me a voicemail on that same Monday I went to pick up the bread.... Basically saying they can't fulfill my order because the high fiber is not something they make on Monday??? I mean first of all, why are you taking preorders online then? Second of all, why is your online system allowing us customers to order and place in the cart if it's not available on Monday? Isn't that the point of preorder? So you know ahead of time what bread to make for customers? He then had the audacity to say... all our *regular customers* know our bread making schedule. It changes daily. Well, first of all, excuse me for not being a *regular* as in there's apparently some elitist exclusive group at great harvest bread. Also, though I'm not a *regular*, I do purchase breads from here for visitors etc from time to time and am well aware that the breads they make change daily WHICH IS WHY I PREORDERED. I was pretty upset about the whole ordeal and he compted me a Dakota bread which I don't even like. *eye roll* I think they seriously need to work on customer service etiquette and to edit their website so that it's not misleading. If you aren't able to provide the bread listed online, then don't enable it for preorders and waste our time commuting only to leave empty handed. Factoria is an extremely busy area too with heavy traffic in the morning. I was breaking a sweat trying to get from A to B on time What a complete disappointment. Please note this is not a review for the quality of their bread, but for the disappointing customer service and lack of transparency in their website. It's completely misleading...

Lorenzo opened Paseo in 1994, where his popular Cuban roast pork sandwiches were regarded as among the best in the country. After years of local expansion, Paseo abruptly filed for bankruptcy in 2014. The brand was subsequently bought out by a local entrepreneur, but the sale did not include Paseo's secret recipes (the reboot attempted to reverse engineer the sandwiches with varying success). So, in 2015, Lorenzo's sons revived Paseo under a new name, Un Bien, armed with their father's original recipes. Nowadays, Un Bien is generally regarded as superior to Paseo, and you can grab their Caribbean sandos at one of the three locations across Seattle. You can't miss the pastel pink-and-teal palette of the original shack on an otherwise drab block of Ballard. As you approach the wooden window, you are greeted by the aroma of sauteed meats and veggies. Communal laquered wood benches are lined up underneath a covered pergola. Fifties hits ring respectfully around the kitchen. My partner and I visited for late weekday lunch, and we ordered immediately. We opted to focus on the signature pork shoulder, so we split the #1 Caribbean Roast and #2 The Press. Across both sandwiches, we were impressed by the tender pork, rich onions, lemon-forward aioli, and marinade-soaked baguette. The standard roast pork sandwich added on pickled jalapenos and crisp romaine, culminating in a dynamic flavor that accentuated the meat. Meanwhile, The Press featured tart banana peppers, smoked ham, and melty Swiss, amping up the sweet and savory flavors alike; we agreed that this extra-messy sandwich just edged out the standard version. Our order took just minutes to be prepared, and the bill just topped $30. Despite the fanfare, I still found myself surprised by just how satisfying Un Bien's sandwiches turned out to be. Across all the food I ate in Seattle, only these pork sandwiches would be worth a return visit, even if I had to venture out of my way.

When we asked for clarification because the restaurant was advertised as being open until 9:00 PM, staff confirmed they were open until then but said the seating area would close earlier anyway. After receiving our food, we were told not to sit down and were asked to leave the seating area altogether. The interaction felt abrupt and discourteous, especially given that we had arrived well before closing and had purchased food with the expectation that we could eat on-site. The food itself was average, but the poor customer service and inconsistent messaging about seating left a much stronger impression than the meal. There are other better places. Skip.
