Stopped in after birding at Marymoor. Decor is utilitarian, comfy. You review menu and order at the counter. I got the goat biryani which was excellent. The portion size is huge, one order easily feeding two people. I could only finish little over a third I think. I also got a buttered roti, very good. I will definitely return to this place.

    Veg 65 biryani

Biryani bowl is so good, honestly the best biryani i ever had. I get the Veg 65 biryani and it hits every single time. The food is always consistent and i cant recommend them enough. I usually order through doordash and the food always comes fresh. You wont be disappointed.

Ordered takeout from Doordash! Really great variety in menu. Tried the Paneer 65 Biryani ($16.99) and Gongura goat curry (Bone-In). ($16.99). Awesome portions and wonderfully spiced. Rice was perfectly cooked. Delicious, SWEET mango lassi ($4.99). Ready fairly quickly. Polite staff. Neatly packaged.

Ordered a takeout from this restaurant and i must say I am quite impressed!! After reading some reviews about chicken pieces in veg biryani, I was very skeptical about ordering from here. I am so glad I decided to risk it and ordered because this place is going to be one of my favorite haunts! We got the chili gobhi for appetizer. We chose spice level as medium and it was phenomenal! Not just the adults, even the kids loved it! Garlic naan and paneer butter masala was spot on. The kids loved that too. Tandoori roti could have been better. It was fully cooked but a little dense. I like them light. The paneer kadai was a little too tomatoee, didn't have the ginger and garlic like it's supposed to. The highlight was the egg biryani!! Medium spice level was just right. The gravy that came with it was spicy! We ordered the family pack and it even came with a dessert! Overall, a great Indian restaurant in the neighborhood. Can't wait to try the cut mirchi!

Biryani Bowl has become our go-to place for hangouts with friends. The chicken biryani is consistently delicious, and we thoroughly enjoy their appetizers. It's a fail-safe option for delicious Indian food every time!

Chicken 65 Biryani Boneless and Chicken Dum Biryani
    Satish P.

Biryani Bowl was a random find on DoorDash for us, and we were pleasantly surprised on how yummy and appropriately spicy the biryanis were. We ordered the Chicken 65 Biryani Boneless and Chicken Dum Biryani, both were 10/10 would highly recommend getting both! We ordered take out and the quantity was ample, more than other places we have gotten biryani from around the Puget Sound area. I read other reviews were people found the Chicken Dum Biryani did not have enough spices or masala in it, so I chose the "Spicy" version and did not choose the Mild or Medium spicy options, and I found it was super flavorful and spicy enough. We also ordered the Stuffed Mirchi, but didn't expect it to be so spicy, we weren't able to have more than a bite, haha! We might have found our new favorite biryani place in the area!

Goat fry briyani - $15.99 (only came with one boiled egg, I made an extra)

Their Goat Dum briyani is packed with flavors and came in a huge portion. Do becareful if you order the goat fry briyani as it does consist some small bones. I love the tender goat pieces in the briyani and the hard boiled egg is just perfect! It can get pretty spicy so if you can't handle heat well like me best to request for mild on the heat level. The cashier guy seems to be the son of the family, he is always friendly and very efficient in his job! I would like to support this family business whenever possible!

The food is usually delicious, and the service is usually fine, but there always seems to be something that throws off our dining experience here. For example, we dined in last Sunday for dinner, and were promptly seated. We ordered the garlic naan to share, and our vegetarian friend ordered the Paneer Makhni. However, when the dish arrived, she took a bite and discovered that there were chicken pieces inside, and when we alerted the server, we didn't even receive an apology. They took away her plate, which had some rice and garlic naan, and gave her a new plate with a new order of the Paneer Makhni, and did not replace the rice and garlic naan that was lost due to their mistake. I feel that giving a vegetarian or vegan person a dish with meat is a huge mistake, and I was very disappointed by the lack of an apology and the lack of an effort to make things right. On the happy side, the garlic naan was tasty, and I personally ordered a chicken kabob dish that was covered in sauce, which was phenomenal. Another example is that for 3 or 4 visits, we interacted with the same server. He always greeted us with "ni hao" even though we are not Chinese. Even worse, on multiple occasions, after we paid for the food with credit card, he would make up some lie about how the card reader was broken for the tip portion, and he would ask for a cash tip that he pocketed. We've never had this issue with any other server, and I've even seen this guy tell other groups the same lie about the card reader not working for the tip portion, even though it worked fine for the main payment. In summary, although Kanishka seems to have some food quality control issues, the food is delicious, and the service can be a wide range from very poor to good.

The thali was presented in a wonderfully traditional manner, which immediately set the tone for the experience. There were 16 different items, and everything tasted authentic and thoughtfully prepared. The stars of the meal for me were the Bajri Raab and the Ghewar--both absolutely outstanding. The service was courteous, and we thoroughly enjoyed the overall experience. A couple of suggestions for improvement: when the thali is served, it would be helpful if the person presenting it could briefly explain each dish and perhaps suggest how certain items are traditionally paired or eaten. That would make the experience even more immersive, especially for those unfamiliar with Rajasthani cuisine. Also, the plate felt a bit small for the number of ramekins. There was very little room left for the rice, and the chutney and pickle kept sliding underneath the ramekins, making things a bit messy. A slightly larger plate would make the meal much more comfortable to enjoy. Finally, please continue hosting thali festivals featuring cuisines from different regions of India. That's a fantastic concept, and we'd love to return for more regional culinary experiences.
