Maybe closer to a 4.5 because we really enjoyed the Gobi Manchurian. It was the crunchiest and most flavorful we have found on the Eastside. The gongura biryani was cooked well and a very good size portion for the price. It wasn't too spicy and the raita and lime added to the dish. The service was pretty quick and everything came in to go containers so whatever we didn't finish could easily be taken back with us. Ordered a takeout from this restaurant and i must say I am quite impressed!! After reading some reviews about chicken pieces in veg biryani, I was very skeptical about ordering from here. I am so glad I decided to risk it and ordered because this place is going to be one of my favorite haunts! We got the chili gobhi for appetizer. We chose spice level as medium and it was phenomenal! Not just the adults, even the kids loved it! Garlic naan and paneer butter masala was spot on. The kids loved that too. Tandoori roti could have been better. It was fully cooked but a little dense. I like them light. The paneer kadai was a little too tomatoee, didn't have the ginger and garlic like it's supposed to. The highlight was the egg biryani!! Medium spice level was just right. This is the best Indian food in the greater Seattle area that I have had! (I've lived here almost 4 years now) It's also the best Biriyani I've had in America (I grew up in Sindhi, Pakistan, which is known for great Biryani). I would (and do) highly recommend this place to anyone looking for Indian food. Note, if you ask for spice, they'll deliver! It won't just be pure heat though, it's immensely full and flavorful spice. My favorite is chicken 65 Biriyani. My wife's favorite is Paneer Butter Masala. Ordered a bunch of things from here last evening to be delivered. Overall the food was pretty good with some hits and misses. The Great: Mysore Bonda - Easily some of the best around and very authentic. It was just perfect and a slightly larger version of what you'd truly get back home. You could easily devour the whole plate here. They surprisingly held their slight crisp and texture even after a 45 minute car ride. The Good: Paneer 65 Biryani - It was a good flavorful rice dish with nicely done paneer layered on top. The salan definitely helped elevate this one. The Okay-ish: Cut Mirchi - The chili itself was nicely seasoned and the chutney with it was perfect. My biggest qualm here is how thick and dense the batter was. A lighter and more airy batter with some crisp to it would have been nice. The portion size is really good but just a little lightness to the batter will go a long way. Goat Dum Biryani - Extremely flavorful with authentic spices, large portion size, hella spicy (loved this but be careful if you can't tolerate spice). My biggest issue with this was the near absence of any goat meat in the large family pack. There were tons of bones (which were badly cut to ended up with sharp edges and splinters) that added a lot of flavor to the biryani but very very little meat. And whatever little was there was extremely overcooked and dry. Veg 65 Biryani - The main issue with getting this for takeout is that while the flavors are near identical to the paneer biryani, the veggies here lose all their crispness and become limp and soggy by the time you actually eat them. So the potatoes, cauliflower, paneer and baby corn end up losing the textural contrast that is meant to add a lot to the dish. Also, a few veggies in the rice itself, even something simple like some carrots and peas will add a lot to this dish. Overall the food is not bad, but it's not outstanding either. It feels like it's just on the precipice of being excellent but it's the little things that are really getting in the way. Might give them a try again some day but probably won't be rushing back again this week with more friends. read more

We ordered the Chicken 65 Biryani Boneless and Chicken Dum Biryani, both were 10/10 would highly recommend getting both! We ordered take out and the quantity was ample, more than other places we have gotten biryani from around the Puget Sound area. I read other reviews were people found the Chicken Dum Biryani did not have enough spices or masala in it, so I chose the "Spicy" version and did not choose the Mild or Medium spicy options, and I found it was super flavorful and spicy enough. Their Goat Dum briyani is packed with flavors and came in a huge portion. Do becareful if you order the goat fry briyani as it does consist some small bones. Very reliable Indian food! This is our go-to when we are hungry and in cravings mode for Indian flavors. They are always super fast and our order has been correct via delivery every time. My best friend likes to order the chicken Tikka masala and I order the Malai kofta or saag paneer typically. Their flavors are full of umami and just hit the spot. My husband and I were actually looking for a burrito when we drove past this out of the way gem. It was late afternoon so not very busy. We ordered samosas and their mirchi bajji while we waited for the rest of our takeout order and we're immediately pleasantly surprised. The samosas were very flavorful and the mirchi bajji was like nothing we had ever eaten. It was a chili surrounded by a soft battered crust then split open and filled with a spicy onion mixture. It was so spicy I only had one bite but my husband absolutely loved it! When we got home, I enjoyed my veggie korma-it was a little more tomato-like and less creamy than I prefer but I really liked it still-had a rich flavor with a bit of sweetness. He also even added in a small dessert for us to try which was very kind. My son enjoyed it and loved the chicken pieces, savoring each one. Biryani is just rice mixed with chicken no masala, marinated ingredients or fried onion! Chicken should be succulent but it's really dry. I ordered spicy biryani but it wasn't spicy at all.
