This is the best Indian food in Guelph and is very underrated! The prices are more than fair for the quality of food! The place is very cleanly, and the owners pay very close attention to detail! When ordering take out they asked us to have a look before we paid, its just the small things they do that make this place amazing! This is my first visit to. Bombay Cafe. Service was very fast and friendly. I was seated immediately. I have some food issues, and they were quickly able to tell me what I could and couldn't have. Lots of variety. I preserved the Lamb Roganjosh and I also had some okra. The lamb was spiced medium. I like hot, but this was perfect. Just the right amount of food. I will be back again. Ordered take out. Portions are a bit smaller than I usually get for south Asian food (but I'm thinking of more in the gta or Toronto as I've found ethnic food to be pricey here in Guelph). The quantity is very small compared to price and other similar restaurent. This place has degraded a lot and menu chart you see on website does not reflect the actual price in the restaurent. When I asked about that owner said it has not been updated for long so don't get fooled and call them in advance to check price. No wonder the restaurent doesn't have any customer at pick time. What a nice, somewhat secluded small resto in a secluded plaza, among the many burbs here within Guelph. One of the cozier, not too fancy, fairly simple decor, small--about 8 tables, one will notice the bright white bulbs decorated throughout the restaurant. the butter chicken was really authentic, and the proud owner was there to provide pretty good customer service. Fantastic Indian restaurant. Whenever, I have been there, you can walk in and get a table. Service is fast and the food is excellent. The restaurant may not be the most visually appealing but the food more than makes up for it. The samosas are a great way to start any meal.If you like spicy the vindaloo will have your mouth on fire. The butter chicken is great. The lamb tastes great, but is kind of odorous. This is the best Indian food in Guelph. It's a hidden little gem, but when you find it you will keep returning. The restaurant is small and the decor is outdated. The food makes up for what the decor lacks. We always order the Butter Chicken, Rogan Josh, Garlic Naan and Gobi Aloo. Food is always consistent. It tastes fresh and homemade and authentic! The rice is always cooked perfectly, very fragrant and fluffy. Just thinking about the Gobi Aloo makes me wish we ordered Bombay tonight ;) The owners are so friendly, and take great care in making sure their food tastes great and their customers are happy. Best Indian food in Guelph. I've only eaten in the restaurant a couple of times but it has become a staple for take out food and is my go-to recommendation whenever my wife and I have friends visiting from out of town. The portions are very generous and we always have leftovers for the next day (which keep really well). The service is quick and courteous and the price is very affordable given the quality, taste and quantity that you receive. They do close occasionally (holidays, random Mondays/Sundays) because (from what I can tell) it is just a husband and wife (and I believe their son) that run the entire restaurant. read more

delivery took almost 2 hours, two dishes that were essentially the same shrimp dish in different sauces, no rice, naan, vegetables or anything, came to $45 and even though one of the dishes said online it was made with coconut milk i specified just in case, no dairy due to allergy, and instead of calling or something, just wrote on receipt "there is dairy" so a 19 dollar bowl of just shrimp and sauce after almost two hours, has to go in the garbage. never. what a waste of time and money. never ordering again. would give zero stars but if i could. read more
