The naan was fluffy and hot, and the different dishes and sauces were delicious. The vegetarian option came with a chickpea dish and a cabbage+pea dish, both were pleasantly spicey. The meat dishes were a sweetened butter chicken and a stewed goat. I really enjoyed our meal here and will definitely return again for their lunch. Cannot speak for their dinner serving sizes and prices, which I find are typically less "worth it" in most Indian restaurants. Owners were friendly, would recommend if you're nearby and craving Indian food.

The first time I came I ordered the Chana masala with basmati rice, the combination of spices they used in the dish was magic in my mouth! For our table of three we shared two appetizers - the vegetable pakora and onion bhajee which were deep fried and delicious. I could not wait to come back! On my second visit, I ordered the bharta and my boyfriend ordered the chicken chettined. We shared an order of basmati rice and their fluffy naan bread. Bharta is an eggplant dish mixed with herbs and tomatoes, I am a big fan of eggplants and this is the best preparation I've ever had of this magnificent vegetable (or fruit?...) I honestly cannot rave enough about this place. If you want a trip to flavor town, hit up Sahar's Kitchen!

Aunty's Kitchen is the go-to place near campus to get a late night meal: lots of carbs, rice, meat,…read morerice, and chicken. Did I mention carbs? Aunty's Kitchen used to be a sit down place, but they have transitioned to a pickup only store. Their online ordering (use only their own website and account) is the best way to place your order. They are usually without 5 - 10 mins from the selected pick-up time, plan accordingly. The in-store experience is a bit of a wait, just order online else, you might be waiting while they process the online orders. Order: - Fusion Shawarma Plate with Butter Naan The spiced fries are still a favourite, it stays crispy for a long time and a quick blast in the oven/air-fryer will revive it. The butter chicken is very saucy and get the garlic sauce because you'll need it with the ample fragrant biryani rice. The butter naan is nice and soft and if you reheat it, you can crisp it up into a buttered cracker. Any leftovers heat up well and is even more flavorful the next day. If it isn't demolished on the first go, you won't be missing anything having it later.

When I opened the butter chicken I only had two small pieces of chicken in the whole container. The naan also felt more like a pita. The flavour wise for the butter chicken was ok but the lack of chicken was very disappointing. Service was okay, it's only a to go spot so there is no seating, you just order and go. Overall, dissatisfied with the lack of chicken.

I came here on a Thursday night under high recommendations from others. My expectations were high, i was excited! 7:00pm, walk in and there's a quiet, empty ambiance to the place. We got to choose where we sat and were promptly given beverages and the menu. On the center of the table is their form of a lazy susan. 3 tea candles and a holder above it to hold your meal - it's not just to light up your table :) I ordered the Kadai Murg - a boneless chicken dish in a spicy tomato like sauce with green peppers. Flavour was good. It had a good amount of spice to it. Sides are to be ordered separately - they do not come with anything. I ordered the saffron rice and my friend ordered the garlic naan. Rice was alright. Nothing outstanding, but a good balance with the Kadai Murg to soak up the sauce. The garlic naan was really good. Very strong fresh garlic flavour - prob the best thing on the table. My friend ordered the Tandoori Chicken. 5 pieces of chicken, bone in, served on a sizzling platter. The aroma was heavenly. The taste? meh. It was overly salted... but cooked alright. It wasn't too dry, but it's not something that stood out other than the initial smell. Probably should have ordered the butter chicken for a better evaluation... the service was good. The owner seemed very nice. Overall, it was an okay experience. Did it live up to the hype I received from others? no. Was it decent food? yes. For the portion size (it's quite a bit of food, but for $20 a dish plus a side to go with it), it's alright.
