I ordered butter chicken and lamb rogan josh and was given a choice of spice levels from 1 to 5. I chose 2.5, expecting something mild to moderately spiced. Instead, the food was extremely spicy--far beyond what I asked for, to the point that I had tears in my eyes. It was clearly closer to a level 5 or higher. If 2.5 is too spicy, they should mention it. One would expect 2.5 to have some spice, but not unbearably. I called right away on Friday night to explain, and the staff member on duty acknowledged the issue and said I could bring the food back for a replacement--without mentioning any specific time limit. Since I couldn't return that evening or Saturday, I called back on Sunday morning. That's when things took a turn. The owner answered and was incredibly rude in my opinion and dismissive. She refused to honor the original offer and told me that if I couldn't handle the spice, I shouldn't have ordered it--completely disregarding that I had explicitly asked for a moderate spice level. There was no accountability or any attempt to understand the situation. While I take some responsibility for not coming back sooner, I expected basic courtesy and professionalism. Instead, I was met with condescension and zero effort to make things right. The food itself might be decent, but with service this unprofessional, I won't be returning. Thankfully, there are plenty of other Indian restaurants in the area that know how to treat customers with respect.

Exploring the city we wanted to check out Bombay flames on a Sunday night. The service was really good and they really tried to answer all our questions and modify the dishes as we requested. They ask for spice levels and we asked for 2 for kids and 3 spice level for us. But if you are an average spice eater do understand that level 3 was pretty spicy for us. Just FYI They don't have any bone in options for chicken which I would request them to have atleast one of it. We had ordered the non veg platter which came as a sizzler as was pretty impressive. The laccha paratha was an hit with my kids and husband. Chicken Afghani and Chicken Curry were good too. They are the service fee in the bill which on upon asking looked like that has added the tip already for 4 of us. Rest of our experience was good with the Resturant.

This was some bomb rice. 9/10 easy the goat is so tender and seasoned. I asked for the 1.5 spicy level and it has just the right amount of kick

The best Indian food I have had in Georgia. Their naan melts in your mouth, buttery deliciousness. The Lamb Saag was had the perfect amount of pickled spice and curry. I cannot rave about this place enough. I stop every time I drive through Alpharetta, even though stopping often costs me an additional 35 minutes in traffic enroute home. It's just that good.

Great food and ambience. CVCT, garlic naan and malai kofta are a must try. Restaurant was neat, clean and quiet. Most entrees were within $16 and good portion sizes.

The place felt a little hidden and it was a little empty when we arrived so we felt a bit skeptical but our server was very polite and gave us their recommendation. The place had beautiful glass art and is suitable for large parties which was convenient since it started to get full shortly after we arrived. Always a good sign for good food. The food took a little long to arrive and our mixed vegetable appetizer was just ok but we truly enjoyed our Samosa Chat The main dishes were also flavorful but our Chicken Afghani was a little too sweet and the Lamb Biryani was spicier than expected according to my husband. Nonetheless, I consider it a solid Indian restaurant to what my knowledge of Indian food is.

Service is phenomenal. They are so friendly and nice. They came to check on us multiple times throughout our meal to make sure everything tasted good. The inside is clean and welcoming. There are enough tables to host a big party. We came in for lunch on a Wednesday around 12:20. Everyone was getting the lunchbox so we decided to try the non-veg lunchbox ($9.99), it came with two sides, rice, naan, chicken wing, and Gobi. It was so much food and delicious. What a deal. Definitely recommend. We also got the chicken tikka masala and garlic naan. Wow, the tikka was amazing. The chicken was very tender, not dry at all and the flavor was perfect, it wasn't too sweet like a lot of other places which I love. The naan was so fresh. The prices are more affordable than other Indian restaurants in the area. I'm so excited this place opened up next to us. The best Indian food hands down. Will recommend them to everyone.

Service options available with all you can eat, private dining room and vegan options too. Madras Chettinad is easily one of the most satisfying Indian buffet spots around. Their lunch spread is a true celebration of both South Indian and North Indian flavors, offering an impressive variety of vegetarian and non‑vegetarian starters and main courses. There is wide variety of selection of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian foods. From crispy appetizers to rich curries and aromatic rice dishes, every item feels thoughtfully prepared and full of authentic taste. Though it's operated by a Punjabi owner, the kitchen team serves very authentic South Indian flavors, and the ambience also leans South Indian--simple, warm, and family-friendly. My favorite is their fruit custard. I do not have sweet tooth but I always get multiple servings of their fruit custard. In the veg, their daal is always a hit and sambaar is close. Non-veg, their chicken and lamb flare well. If you're looking for a delicious, diverse, and satisfying Indian buffet with great customer service, Madras Chettinad is absolutely worth a visit. Plenty of free parking available in front of the restaurant. I would definetely recommend this place to anyone to give a try if you are in and aroud the area.

This is a restaurant where most of the items are within the $10-$20 price range. I loved the no-frills ambience that reminded me of canteen stalls in Chennai, the sweet uncle (co-owner) Mr. Ramachandran who took my order and the featherlike Appam served with flavorful veg curry. They have many vegetarian options and the service beats everything. If you are in Alpharetta and haven't visited this place, you are really missing out. Hidden behind the Corner Grocery store at the less assuming end of Canton Street, you might think it's a front for an organized crime unit that's expanded its operations from Queens and into north Atlanta. Alas, the inside is exactly what you might expect given the outside - the walls are each painted a different color - a color that you'd be hard pressed to find at Home Depot. The ceiling is mustard yellow, the kitchens Christmas green, and one wall of a small boy's bedroom pale blue. And yes, stuffed in this small space of ambiance is four TVs coupled with three gambling arcade games. The front kitchen resembles the makeup of a hot dog shop, though it's all they need. There's an outside patio that's decorated quite nicely for warmer days. Overall, the interior is what you want out of a real South Indian restaurant. You know the food will be good. You'll expect nothing less. The cuisine itself is quite vast for this little shop. A full half page itself dedicated to specialty dosas. Entrees that are common and others you may have only heard on Tony's episode to Hyderabad. It's as legit as you can find in north Georgia, perhaps anywhere in the south for that matter. The faces behind the counter are friendly and they're quick to recommend their favorites. Overall, it's a culinary experience that hinges on the senses of taste and smell and comfort that sometimes gets lost in a north Atlanta sea of overpriced menus with subpar American tacos.
