Been here a few times. The most recent time I came with my family and we ordered the butter chicken, chicken Tikka and a vegetarian platter with rice. All the items were well priced. Environment: standard for an Indian restaurant. It is a relatively small restaurant. Service: food came out within 15 minutes. Staff were friendly and allowed us to change our order without any trounle after we changed our mind about an item 5 minutes after we ordered it. They also provided a small complimentary appetizer at the beginning. Food: we ordered off the menu (not buffet) and the food overall was quite good. Good portion sizes as well. Two of the meat dishes were more than enough for 4 individuals. See pictures. The food also isn't as oily as in other restaurants. Fair to middle as far as food quality and quantity. Ordered online more than 24 hours ahead and still stood waiting for almost an hour after it was supposed to be ready.... and on top of that they didn't fill the order by forgetting 1 item... paid well over $100. for the meal and I'm disappointed to the point that I don't think I'll be back. read more

I'm very surprised this little gem has so few reviews. Bombay Grill is tucked into a little unassuming plaza beside the newest GoodLife on StoneChurch. The place is literally a hole in the wall and when I went in it was super dark. The waitress was so nice. She greeted me warmly and efficiently got me water and took my order. She made small talk with me and got the idea I was so tired from the gym that all I wanted to do was eat and then go sleep, so she left me alone. The food here is amazing. The butter chicken was creamy and flavourful while drowning huge chunks of chicken. The rice was overflowing (always a plus, since restaurants seems to skimp out on rice when it's literally the cheapest thing to make)? Nobody can mess up naan in my opinion but the buttery fluffiness that I had here was so fulfilling. I took my time eating and then took an even longer time munching when I was already full. I was not rushed nor stared at. The waitress gave me a container (I had seconds for breakfast the next day), asked me about my food, and give me my bill with a smile. I had heard this is a great Indian Restaurant. Took my elderly friend she's Indian and was craving some hot delicious food. Upon arrival however I noticed a conditional pass from the health board. Was returning from a trip to Chippewa and looked them up on YELP! I ordered two things 1.) Kebab Roll 2.) Chicken Tikka masala. I was asked which kebab roll i wanted chicken or beef to which i replied whichever one is better...she said its up to me,..anyways i settled for the chicken kebab roll since i did not want to dine in i was hoping to have the kebab roll in the car while driving back to St. Catharines. When i walked in the store the lady was on the phone and after 5 minutes of being ignored,as she was more focused on the phone and horrible at multitasking, i just went to the dollar store to purchase some items. When i returned i saw a map of Nepal and i knew i had come to the wrong place, i am not a big fan of Nepali style indian cooking. Anyways i was given my takeout and off i was.....Oh man....let me tell u, the kebab roll was stale! it was like eating frozen food....big hard pieces of carrot in my mouth...big huge chunks of cucumber in my mouth hard to chew or blend between kebabs. I DONT KNOW WHAT THAT WAS, but it was not kabab roll.....it had no taste....no tamarid chutny or raita that a traditional kebabroll should have. Holly shit i was driving and while chewing the food i turned my lights on to see exactly what i was eating.....it even felt like falafel at one point...but tasteless falafel... I had paid $20 for chicken tikka masala with nan and this hell kebab roll which was quite reasonable so i didnt freak out. When i got home i was hungry cause i barely ate that hell roll. I tried the chicken tikka masala an it was really good. so the rest of the 3 starts are going to the chicken tikka massala which should be ordered for sure. I wanted to call thm and let them know about that kababroll but honestly the lady didnt seem like she would have cared or passed on the message to the chef!! ALSO THE RESTAURANT WAS DEAD! We dined here for three and the food was really good however the price was too high for an Indian buffet with such a small selection. It's a small area with one waitress serving the entire restaurant. The waitress was trying her best and was courteous and attentive when interacting with her. I found the Naan here is better than most places. At 18.99$ for dinner on a Sat, I can't justify coming back with the selection being so small, however, the food was good. read more

My FAVOURITE place for Indian food! The buffet is phenomenal, it's never over crowded and you can't beat the price. They also do Uber eats which usually comes to around $21 for a plate of butter chicken and a coke, though you can eat at the buffet for around the same. Yummy desserts and fresh fruit. Their butter chicken sauce is hands down the best - since I've had it, everywhere else feels sub par. It's the perfect mix of creamy and all the other spices. Their chicken can sometimes be quite fatty, but their rice is always cooked perfectly. All in all a phenomenal Indian restaurant. read more

Late Saturday afternoon, the dinner buffet was freshly stocked and smelled amazing. Curry, spice, a bit of heat. This is a smallish unassuming place. Family run. They take things personal, but really want you to enjoy your meal. Nothing fancy but I find the food very authentic, several sauces are also available to add some extra heat. The only downside to the all-u-can-eat buffet is trying to resist getting that third plate! read more

All day I have been craving Indian food. I recently switched from the Burlington locations to the Hamilton location. I called to confirm when they closed and when my boyfriend was done hockey he was going to pick up food. When I called back they wouldn't take my order because they were closed for a "function". I had called an hour before and they had no problem charging me $9 for delivery but when I called back to order they were closed. Anyone who knows me knows I have a great love of Indian food. Never again will I order from the Hamilton location because that, in my eyes, is terrible customer service. Hours are set for a reason. read more
