The receptionist has been consistently rude and difficult to deal with, lacking basic courtesy and professionalism. The staff had changed my boyfriend's appointment time without any notice or phone call, and the only indication we received was a text message a day or so before the appointment. We caught the time change and called the office, and the receptionist was dismissive and reluctant to change our appointment time back to the original time we had scheduled. When she did change it, she promptly hung up without giving us any time to ask any follow up questions.

The only two times I had stayed at GSRMC was in 2002 for numbness on my right side. That I thought was stemming from an oncoming stroke. Which was impossible to have at my age at that time. It turned out to be something else. Plus back-to-back stays in 2022. For a sepsis/pseudomonas infection. In 2022. The first time I was admitted. They had me on the oncology unit. Apparently it was the only unit at the time that had a bed available for me. I had great nurses that were unforgettable. Especially a wonderful nurse named Bettina. Who was my night nurse at night. She went above, and beyond for me during the night. On my first night. I had another great night nurse who was super caring. I forgot her name though. I was happy to be in my hometown hospital. Especially the second time I got admitted in the same month. There was talk amongst the doctors that were treating me for the infection, and the doctors up at either Emanuel Hospital. Or OHSU Hospital in Portland. To have me go up to one of those two hospitals in Portland, and get treated up there. That left my mind with the question of. Were they going to take me up there by ambulance? Or have me ride in the LifeFlight helicopter? In the end. I just stayed at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center again. I was in the new section of the hospital the second time, and I liked that section better. The rooms were bigger, and the LifeFlight helicopter pad. Was right out my window. Watching the LifeFlight helicopter take off/land at all hours. It was fun. Even though it did wake me up sometimes. The downside of my hospital stay was that the room was always cold. Same as with being in the old section. I had to have my blanket around my shoulders. With the sheet. To keep warm. Eating my meals was kind of a challenge too. While I was shivering.

She contacted septis and almost died. Her kidneys, and liver shut down and she had a heart attack. She was given a 5% chance of survival but she recovered. Then Day did the second surgery on her other breast. He butchered her. She does not like to be seen naked. She would not let me sue him. She was too embarased to be seen. I had never had anxiety for a dentist visit before the last place, where they had tried to bully me into procedures that were not necessary so they could make more money. Luckily, there are places like this one, where doctors still care. Dr Schapper, Amanda, and all of the staff were so very kind and helpful throughout the process. The cleaning and the x-rays were even one of the most gentle and comfortable procedures I've had done (you know how those x rays things that go in your mouth can pinch and be super uncomfortable - not so here!) I actually ended up coming here after searching for an office that would work with my new job's insurance. Everyone I had called over the past months merely said, "we do not work with your insurance." When I called into this office, the woman said, "would you like me to call them and see for you? I know it can be tricky." She called, called right back, was able to tell me exactly what would be covered, and I made my appointment. She never pushed me to get unnecessary STD testing because she believed me when I said I used condoms and was in a long-term monogamous relationship instead of treating me like I was promiscuous or insisting my partner was a cheater like other clinics have done. She had no reason to think otherwise. When I was going through tough times, she could tell and listened as sympathetically as my therapist, just not for the same amount of time, nor did I expect her to. It doesn't cost anything to be empathetic, though! When I finally decided at 29 to get my tubes done, she agreed without argument and made sure I understood it was permanent.
