This establishment is a perfect example when discussing how customer service is a dying art form. It began when I got an awesome Groupon for $27 for a Brazilian and called to make an appointment. Before I could state what service I wanted to book or that I had a Groupon deal; I was rushed off the phone by being told that there are no appointments this week...click as I was hung up on. I'm sitting there holding the phone to my ear in disbelief. I called back on a Friday since the day prior on a snowy Thursday no one answered or returned my voicemails. I gave the person answering the phone a hello and asked who I was speaking to. She huffed and asked "How may I help you?" I asked again who I was speaking to and she huffed again and hung up on me. By now, I'm hotter than fish grease ....but at work so I had to count to ten. I called back and let the same person know that I was unsure if she had hung up on me or if we had been disconnected. She didn't confirm or deny either so I proceeded to let her know that as a new customer I was concerned with why each time I called I was being met with piss & vinegar. She asked me "Do you think you still want to make an appointment here?" I explained that because I had purchased a Groupon I was committed and wanted to schedule an appointment for a Brazilian. I asked again who I was speaking with and was told that personal information about employees is not given out. C'mon now, really? If they gonna let you answer the phone the very least you can do is identify yourself to callers. Damn, it wasn't like I was asking her zodiac sign! I was given an appointment for the following week. The level of respect and customer service really weighed heavy on me so much that I contacted Groupon via email and they asked me for my number so that the manager could contact me to discuss. My appointment came and went & no one from Bombshell called me to discuss the customer service. I kept the appointment and even upon arriving I still didn't feel welcomed or appreciated as a customer. I listened to Nicole & Crystal's voices but was unable to determine who I had the exchange with. The wax went well and I was polite to Nicole (the esthetician). After assessing the events before during and after the service, I determined that I am unable to refer friends and co-workers to this establishment for service. Whether using a Groupon or any other means of payment human decency and identifying yourself are skills normally mastered by fifth grade. I came here on the recommendation of a friend. It is the cutest store EVER! It is easily accessible off of Frederick Rd and I had no trouble finding parking, even on a Saturday. I had made an appt earlier in the day for their custom airbrush tan. The person on the phone was accommodating and very polite. I waited maybe 5 minutes when I got there and peeked around at all the nice things that they sell in the front of the store. Lots of girly accessories, purses, and even some baby stuff. When the attendant was ready for me she gave me detailed instructions and even gave me a cute leopard robe. I went into the airbrush room and she sprayed me lol I left my bikini on because I am still a little modest. After a few minutes of drying I was all done. The lady gave me more instructions in regards to aftercare and I was on my way home beautifully bronzed. I highly recommend this shop and the price was unbelievably fair. read more

Went to get a wax for the first time. I booked the appointment a day in advance and was served quickly when I came in. Even though the staff seems to be just a few people, the aesthetician was with very attentive and walked me through the process of how it would go. I had an appointment yesterday for a Brazilian wax. I was a whole hour and a half late. Usually I'm better with things like this as a former natural hairstylist one of my pet peeves is when customers show up late with no notification. When I arrived the lady at the front exclaimed "dang you showing up with a Groupon and you're late?" Which made me feel even worse about it lol but I was prepared to pay a late fee or really anything extra to make up for my lateness. To my surprise they did not charge me extra. I wanted to mention to the lady that without the Groupon I would have never even heard of them but with me already being late I just decided to shut up. I was then greeted by the wax specialist who I believe is the owner and she was super nice. This was my second wax and my first one with European wax center was BRUTAL!! I didn't know what to expect this time but she was able to do the wax so efficiently and quickly that it was no where near as painful as my first time! It was also super difficult for me to stay still (i'm still not used to the rips lol) but she was very patient with me. Overall I'm definitely satisfied with my 2nd wax experience. I wasn't really expecting this kind of shop. I expected a salon since I was going in for a wax. This place is definitely not upscale and I didn't trust the cleanliness as much as I would have had it been a clean polished salon. Perhaps it was just how strange it was to be in this little side room in the back of this odd shop. I would like to clarify, in my original review, I said this was an odd "sex" shop. I was not implying that they offered sex, but rather as a place that sells sex-related items or LOOKED like somewhere you would walk into to buy lingerie or a vibrator. You know, "a sex shop". Apparently that was confusing. It was most definitely not a place where I would expect wax or tanning services to be offered, and that is what I meant to get at. There are a ton of zebra prints everywhere, lots of black and hot pink. It was all a little gaudy for my taste. The woman who did my wax was nice but seemed to have her mind elsewhere and didn't talk to me much, which didn't help me feel any more comfortable. I won't go back. Just not my kind of place. Also, I am updating this review because of the unbelievably inappropriate and rude response I got from this place (just kidding, I have had 4 responses now...yes FOUR! She sent me a "compliment" in order to again inform me of my rude review in addition to her responses to this review). I posted a fair review and voiced my opinion. Yelp is a platform for reviews that are unapologetic and honest. However, they said that I had never even been there when in fact I purchased a Groupon and used it. I really wasn't expecting that. I try to be honest in all of my reviews and sometimes they are a little harsh, but I have never had an establishment respond to me in such a way. Now I definitely would not go back here but I also highly recommend you don't either. The owner "recommended" that I do some research next time before I go somewhere I am unfamiliar with. I was in college and looking for something affordable and fast and that's what I got, but I was UNCOMFORTABLE with the store and the decor. Painful but Nice ^_^ update: the second was better than the first time! I bought a Groupon for a Brazilian wax at Bombshell Bling. They also offer three more for 60 (I'm not sure the exact amount) which I bought because it's a good deal after your first time. Just to let you guys know, I've never had one done before (how bad could it be right??) wrong, wrong, wrong lol. The technician was very understanding with me being a first time customer. She even let me take a couple of minutes from each wax strip. This had to be the most painful experience I ever had in my life. However, the ending result is flawless!!! Your skin is so soft afterwards, my hair started to grow back a few weeks later. The second is not as painful as the first (so they say lol). The atmosphere is very nice, I love the color decor (black, white and pink); they also sell scarves, purses and jewelry I believe. Super cute blinged out store. They sell cute & surprisingly affordable blinged out accessories. Most notably purses. Really though it is a beauty shop. I came here for waxing services. The tech was nice. Not super chatty - which can be on obnoxious. I appreciate that. Service was quick & efficient. They don't double dip. They're awesome about appointments. I've never had to wait. I decided to write this review after my second time here, This place for a brazilian is FANTASTIC!!!!!! Nicole gets every detail, I mean that girl is ON IT! Also, it is quite painless compared to others I have been to, obviously there is going to be discomfort but this is EASY! Over quick! The hard wax is great, there is LITTLE pain, the strip wax is 80% worse! I don't know why other reviews on here were so bad, I think it was the customer not the store. Have gotten many spray tans begore i know all about the after care but that doesn't matter if the tech did a shitty job. I have better things to do then hop on yelp the first second i saw a streak i was kinda on vacation. All the bad reviews on here are accurate and the owner just can't take accountability and becomes so defensive. UPDATE: the owner should get off yelp and go back to work. She went from i never went there to i went there and now we are back to i have never been there! Pick one! I really give this place a 4.5 but that's not an option. I first bought a groupon a few years ago and have been coming for waxes about every 6 weeks since. Nicole is an excellent aesthetician and her waxes are the most pain free that I've ever experienced. She's very fast; my waxes never take more than 15 minutes. On top of that the price is out of this world! I've paid $75 for one wax plus tip. I am a customer for life. I find both she and Crystal to be pleasant and customer service is on point. Not sure why the other reviews are so awful.. I got the wax deal from Groupon, called for appointment and got one within 2 weeks from the day I called. They called me 2 days in advance to remind me. I arrived a few minutes late.. Just FYI, the parking can be a but tricky as the salon is on Fredrick road and the streets are busy. The salon doesn't seem very large from outside but inside has a stretch of boutique with lots of sale items (jewelry, bags, gifts all with theme of blingbling) then inside has different rooms for tanning massage and waxing. Nicole was my waxlogist and she was really friendly - asked me if it was my first time and talked me through the whole session. For the most stingy part she kept it quick and kept talking to me trying to get me distracted from pain. It's been a while since I've gotten waxed so i knew this session would be a bit painful. Nicole used hardwax and that seemed to ease the pain a bit. She prepped and cleaned me and told me in advance every time she was about to do something. Overall, my experience was positive and I would definitely return again. I already made my appointment before I left the salon and I look forward to going back!! :-) read more

I really enjoyed my experience with Crystal. I purchased a spray tan Groupon and it was my first time being airbrushed (I'm used to the spray tan booth) and she made me feel completely comfortable in my birthday suit. I was given great advice on how to prepare and prolong my tan. She's friendly and efficient as was her daughter at the reception desk. My appointment was at 4:30 and Crystal was perfectly on time. I like the button you push to let her know when your undressed and ready to be sprayed I keep seeing reviews on the shop aesthetics, all I care about is the service being professional and the treatments rooms being up to par, and my experience fit that bill. If someone doesn't like the blingy shop in the front, then just keep walking to the reception desk! It won't be for everyone, but I personally think it's great that she found something she loves and gets to work for herself everyday doing it. This shop is not advertised as a SPA so I'm confused about reviews not liking this place because there's a blinged out accessory store in the front instead of candles and essential oils. End rant. Love! I got my first ever spray tan 8 days ago and it's just starting to fade. Granted, I only washed the parts that matter in the shower and haven't shaved since. I also made sure to moisturize 2x a day. I'm rather fair, so I was worried that I'd turn a Trump color, but I didn't! I turned a beautiful bronze with absolutely no orange or yellow tones. I wasn't sure if they took walk in's but asked and she took me right back. She was very gentle with me, made me feel very comfortable and suggested the timing of my next wax. I've been to this salon 3 times and never had a bad experience. I was able to book my initial appointment within a week of calling. I would recommend making your next appointment before you leave, though, just for peace of mind. Nicole has been my waxologist every time and she is just a delight! I've never had such a quick and efficient wax (and that doesn't mean that she skimped on quality). Last night I was running a little bit late late and I knew I was her last client of the day. I felt horrible racing in 5 minutes late but she was completely unphased and as sweet and professional as any other time. The salon is running a great deal right now, so even though my Groupon is used up, I still decided to purchase 3 more because the price was right and so is Nicole. After reading some positive reviews I decided to stop in at Bombshell Bling and Beauty Boutique and was immediately impressed by Crystal, the owner. She told me how to prep for the tan, what to expect the day of the tan and how to care for my tan after leaving the salon. I felt pretty confident in her ability and made an appointment for later in the week. The day of my appointment came and I was nervous about being in my birthday suit while getting a spray tan but Crystal put me at ease immediately and was so kind during the whole process. DO NOT VISIT This place! I purchased a groupon for a wax. About 2 years ago 5/15 I received my first ever wax from here, my best friend purchased a groupon for me. In the fine print it says you can buy one groupon for yourself and one as a gift, because I never actually purchased the 1st one in 2015 I went forward with the purchase. When I arrived for my most recent appointment, I was asked my name. After telling them my name they went through a long list, found it & told me I could not use another Groupon however the amount that I paid could be applied to a full price service. In order to not have to deal with the hassle of receiving a refund from groupon & schedule another wax elsewhere I obliged & proceeded with the process. I paid an additional $68 for a 3 wax package. The wax was painful, the rude & very curt esthetician Nikki was rough. For the essence of time & getting it over with I got dressed and went on my way. When I got home last night I noticed that I had an ample amount of hair left. Not one or 2 strands but a whole patch. I showed a few of my friends (via pictures) and they too agreed the amount of hair I had left was unacceptable. I decided that I no longer wanted to proceed with getting any service rendered at this place so I would return tomorrow & get a refund for what I paid. Today I walked into the shop, got asked "what's the problem" I showed up the person who performed the half done job the pictures I had taken & she told me I had to wait for the owner, they don't give refunds, she is sorry & she can get the hair off. As I stated I did not want any further services rendered I just wanted to get my money back. I did not want more wax applied when I just got a wax yesterday. The owner gets off of the phone & hastily stated she doesn't give refunds but she will give me a partial refund. Um no thank you ma'am. You did not render me a complete service. Please give me my money back & let me go on my way with a partial Brazilian wax. Further I was inconvenienced by having to come back here. Both woman began to get very nasty & rude as if they did their jobs & I was just there causing problems. Had my wax been performed correctly I would have been a returning customer. However it wasn't and what I wasn't going to do is return here for 2 more incomplete waxes. In turn I Declined the partial refund because I don't believe in paying for incomplete services & will dispute the charge with both groupon & my credit card company. You avoid the headache of a partially waxed kitty, rude business owners & having to dispute charges & just stay clear of this place. Oh, PM me if you want to see pictures of the awful job they did. ******* I believe the "business owner" believes that it's okay to try to force you to get more services rendered when you weren't satisfied with the initial service. If I don't want my freshly partially waxed vagjna rewaxed a day later that is my prerogative.
