Discovered this place a year ago and I go for my waxing appointments. The area is clean and the staff is wonderful. I go to Seema and Jai alternatively and both are attentive and actually listen to your needs. Professionalism goes a long way and I will always come to them for my waxing needs. Having sensitive skin, the use of hard wax is suitable for my skin and they are the only ones in the area (that I know of) that provide this type of wax! After two calls and a few emails I got the reply that there is no massage therapist employed there due to her "moving back to Morocco"!! I really wanted to like this place. My second time here as I believe in second chances. However, I dont see where much was done on either occasion. I basically walked out the same way I came in. My brows are a little sparse, but even with that I've had more of a defined arch than this. I think she can tell I was unhappy with my brows and I could've asked for her to correct it. But if she was ok with finishing up like this, I dont trust her to fix it. I believe the disconnect is they are used to servicing those with thick, dark eyebrows and dont know what to do with thinner, lighter brows. Well, you arch them too without trying to save them for thickness that we dont have in the first place. You can't service everyone the same. read more

I've been looking for a good spa to go to and I've found one. The spa is clean. The rooms were well equipped and once we started our session it was very calming. I took my daughter to get her first facial and she loved it. We both got the mini facial and Seema took care of us. Seema was amazing! She kindly offered water or green tea afterwards. I had my hair done in Ellicott City and didn't want to go all the way to Baltimore to my normal threading spot so I looked up options in the area. Vedic great reviews convinced me to pop in and I am so glad that I did! When I walked in I was immediately offered a seat by a friendly woman. It's worth noting that this is the cleanest salon I've seen in ages, looks very new! I've been getting my eyebrows threaded for ten years now and this was the most comfortable experience hands down-- I was shocked, there was no pain at all! I'm used to the feeling of threading, but I cannot get over how great and comfortable the experience was. I also got my upper lip done and the total for my services was $14. $14!! I'm only rating this on their eyebrow threading: STAY AWAY!!! I have FULL eyebrows and love them full. Where I normally go - no matter who sees me, they get it right - they ONLY SHAPE the brows keeping them ideal to frame my eyes. Friday, July 7, '17 Vedic butchered them! For theeee FIRST TIME EVER IN LIFE, I had to use brow filler to correct the mess they did to my left brow. They took waaay too much off both brows and destroyed the left (see pics). Since moving, my regular threading spot is a bit out of the way and now, for sure, I will continue to back there. The Vedic threader smooth them down with aloe gel so I didn't notice the butcher job until later that evening when I just so happened to glance in the mirror with a huge WTF!!! I got instantly mad that I also tipped the butcheress. While there I did notice they took too much off but was clueless to the unevenness of the left brow. I'm literally that girl that washes her face and go -- now to have to fix my brow EVERY morning PLUS remember NOT to touch my left brow makes me a bit annoyed. Save your brows unless your brow threader/waxer is worse than here. Because frankly, that's the only reason I can see one giving them 5 stars on their threading. I'm going to a destination wedding in the Dominican Republic in a few weeks; hopefully, my natural process of growing hair will do the trick and all will be right with the world. read more

I first found Vedic through conversation with a stranger at Ulta while getting my hair done. She had the best looking eyebrows and she gave me the name of her person, and I've been hooked since. It was really easy to book an appointment online and I was lucky enough to nab an appointment with Jay same day on my one day off. I appreciated that she took the time to consult me on my skin and gave me suggestions on how to improve my general complexion. I felt super relaxed coming out of the spa. I've been coming here for months for threading, but I've not had their massages and facials till Christmas Eve. My husband surprised me with two hour pamper package on Groupon, that included hot stone massage and facial. We started we hot stone massage and my muscles were so relaxed and pampered afterwards. The rubbing of hot stones against my muscles while compression massage went on were excellent! BUT I must say...The highlight was really the facial. Jayshiri explained the whole plan, diagnosed my skin and gave me different cleansing, exfoliating, extraction, Manhattan massage from face, chest, arms, and hands, and chocolate mask. The whole process was seamless and my skin feels as soft as a baby's bottom. I did not realize she was this skilled of an esthetician! I definitely plan on going back for facials more often now. I went to Vedic Spa based mostly on reviews on Yelp. I did not have a Groupon or Living Social special. I get married in three days and my fiancé/future husband will be happily surprised if I got a Brazilian. I have never had a Brazilian wax before but knew from reading online and prior experience with brow and lip waxed what to expect. Seema was very gentle (as much as she could be) and kind. She reminded me to breathe and would go as quickly as she could. Each dip into the wax was a new stick and Seema wore gloves. It was a very hygienic process. It took all of about 10 minutes and it was done. Appt scheduling - I had called in the morning on a weekday and was able to get a same-day appt. The spa is located in a new building near the EC Post Office/Ridge Road. There wasn't any special music playing or ultra-cool aesthetic about the place, but I'm a down-to-business kinda girl. I would highly recommend based off my experience with the lovely and professional Seema and their practice of keeping things safe and clean. read more
