Nice and clean salon. Well decorated and has a nice feel to it. Unfortunately it wasn't as sanitary when doing the actual nails--a file that was not new and had obviously been used, the tip of their Dremel wasn't sanitized and nothing came out of an autoclave that i could see. My nail tech was nice and she did an okay job. The full acrylic set with gel polish was $65 pre tip and they look okay from a glance but they are pretty thick and uneven shapes. I do hope they can put more time into maintaining sanitary measures in the future. read more

My go-to nail salon; a little oasis tucked into Glenwood. Every service I've had here has always lived up to or exceeded expectations. If you want a super thorough pedicure, ask for Annie in particular. I have horrible ingrown toenails and she makes sure to remove as much as she can every time in as gentle a way possible. Couldn't do without her! My elementary age daughter comes with me from time to time for a kids service and all the staff are always so kind and accommodating. read more

This was my very first time at Four One Oh, and I was super satisfied with the service. Before I got to the store I got a text notification with the date, time & person who would be assisting me. I thought that was a great feature! Walked in and was greeted by Taylor, the owner. She was super sweet. And the place is SO atheistically pleasing. I fell in love! It's beautiful. When you pay for a service, the technician not only should focus on the job but certainly not be on the CELL PHONE during the entire service. My sister and I called Sunday afternoon and made an appointment that same day at 4. The polish choices were okay, but we have more variety at the nail salon several miles away. The receptionist was nice and brought us to our seats rather promptly. My pedicure became immediately, but my sister has to wait about 15 minutes for someone to tend to her. Both of our pedicures were over by 4:30. We got the classic pedi, but still, we felt more time should have been taken. We were left to let the polish dry in the seats, which was fine with us and we finished the bottle of wine we brought. Around 4:45, the receptionist started cleaning up the place. We got up about 5 minutes later. When we went to pay we realized that the ladies that did our nails went home. The whole experiences felt rushed and impersonal. The receptionist gave us a 15% discount, but we won't go back. Our nails look fine- not stellar but good enough. We'll continue to go to Pro Nails off of ten oaks. The ladies there take their time and make you feel welcomed, regardless of what time you arrive. I don't know why 410 makes appointments an hour before closing if it is such an inconvenience. read more

I want to love this place so badly, because of the adorable interior, the mini bar and water station, and the convenience of location. The employees are all super friendly and talkative but it's still a really relaxing environment. Unfortunately, they just don't do nails that well. Having visited a few times each with different nail artists, there are one or two who are skilled and do a great job consistently. The other workers just are not good. My nails have come out consistently mediocre, and I'm prompted to write this review because my mother literally asked me if I painted my own nails. Like most nail salons, this is going to be a hit or miss quality place. I recommend booking an appointment with a specific technician online and reading each artists reviews before booking. As much as I wish this was the type of place to get a quick, high-quality manicure, the high pricing of the appointments with the low-to-mediocre quality outcomes leaves me wanting to drive further to find a good nail salon. read more

Disappointment. This was my go to salon for pedicures or SNS before I had my son. It was my first time back in about a year and I made an appt for French ombré with tips and pedicure for my brothers upcoming wedding. I had requested Lara for both services since the technician I use to see was no longer there. I waited about 20 mins past my appointment time for her. When I got in her chair it felt like my dipping powder service was rushed. I was left with a lumpy mess. I'm not one to complain and was exhausted so I just went along with it. As it came time for my pedicure she asked if someone else could do it for me because she had her next client. The technician that was doing my pedicure keep lifting my leg then slamming it back down. Fast foward to 3 days later my nail broke off, I called and got an appt to get it fixed before having to fly out of state for the wedding but receive a call about a scheduling mishap and no accommodation. I really loved this place but it seems like poor management at this point. Also the technicians had started to get in an argument while I was trying to relax in between my pedicure. My first time coming here, I didn't enjoy it at all. As I was getting a pedicure on my feet, the person performing the task began to caress my feet as if they were a glass slipper. I began to get weirded out as I was about to tell the lady to stop, she leaned in for a sniff of my feet. My sister made appointments for us to get our nails done. She didn't see gel fill on the website so she made me an appointment for a color change. Upon arrival I explained I actually needed a GEL FILL and was told that it was available even though it wasn't advertised. After sitting down and the process started, out comes the acrylic powder - I once again asked for a GEL FILL. The technician proceeded to tell me it was gel... By the second nail I can clearly smell acrylic. I then asked again if this was GEL and was told it was... 50$ plus tip later I have an inferior product on my nails and was COMPLETELY LIED TO. Went today to get a spa pedicure and it was a nice experience. The lady (sorry didn't catch her name)who did my pedicure took her time, provided an excellent massage, and did a good job on the paint. The only thing I didn't like was the chairs, though were comfortable, they dont go back and I am tall so my feet where pushed against the front of the spa bowl instead of soaking and no jets which I thought was interesting. Overall great experience will be back but just make sure you bring cash cause they charge a $1 if you want to leave a tip by cc. read more

Very cool design/ambiance for a nail salon. A lot of neon lights with fun sayings ("On fleek", etc.) and a little "bar" setup that you can order wine/champagne and I assume other things (seems to be all complimentary). I would've given this place 5 stars, but there were 2 things that i just feel if they changed it would be a 6 star experience! In our group it was me, my mom, my sister in law and almost 3 year old daughter. We had an appointment and we were all just getting mani/pedis. The woman that did my daughters nails was very sweet -- but she did it in a chair completely away from us, so she didn't get the experience of getting her nails done with us, which is what we wanted; And they just put the polish on -- no lotion part or anything. The second thing would just be for a more friendly atmosphere. It's a small place so you can hear everyone and you're making eye contact with people a lot. It wasn't really the most friendly place and there were some looks. If everyone just smiles and asks how you're doing -/ that'd go a long way! read more

Cute owner, Taylor is very nice and offered wine etc. There are even iPhone chargers available for use during your pedicure. Prices here are in line or less than other nearby salons. So glad to have a high end salon closer to home. This place would be great for a girls event and owner mentioned she is going to soon offer men's events too! Never again. I was charged $60.00 for an acrylic fill. Part of that was a $20.00 upcharge for gel polish. There is a sign on the wall over the polish stating that the gel polishes are an additional five dollars. When the tech asked me if I wanted that, I initially said no, but she convinced me to try because " it would dry instantly". So - I said, "ok"...... She did not quote the $20.00 charge. Even without that, the charge of $40.00 is WAY above anything I have ever paid for a fill-in and I have had my nails for 20+ years. When I complained, the tech and the receptionist both agreed that " Yes, we are more expensive than most salons." Well, if that is because they are in Glenwood, I don't accept that as a reason and I will not be back. ( Also, my tech was unfriendly - not responding when I made conversation, speaking to other techs in what I assume was Vietnamese, etc. but that is just another negative about this place. ) I have noticed the practice of speaking to other employees in Vietnamese in front of customers in other shops, too. Evidently, some do not understand that this is RUDE. I am referring to "inside" conversations and jokes that result in laughter or anger. read more
