Bare Minerals is not wedding glam. Bombshell did not advertise or disclose they work exclusively with Bare Minerals products. They kept my deposit after my trial that went poorly. Then, they tried to charge me another 90$ for another trial. All of my bridesmaids wanted to cancel after they found out they work exclusively with Bare Minerals. I had to find a new makeup artist less than 60 days before my wedding. Nightmare. Poor customer service, they were not apologetic at all for wasting my time and money. I got a spray tan, my makeup, and my hair done for a dance. The woman who did my spray tan was so nice!! It was my first time getting one.The spray tan looked weird, though. It was the lightest shade, but it was super not it. Maybe I am just not a spray tan person, idk- but it was no bueno. It was sticky for a long time, even after showering. I will admit... I was kind of a "know it all" towards the woman who did my makeup, so I apologize for that. She was really sweet, and I really appreciate that. The makeup turned out to be okay... the jaw contour she did on me was AMAZING but you couldn't really see my eyeshadow. I had to fix a few things myself. The hairstylist kinda scared me, lol. Pretty stubborn. Not someone you'd want to mess with. Anyways, as for my experience with her services, it wasn't too bad. She said that I had a lot of dead hair and asked if she could cut like six inches off, which I said yes to. I appreciated that- I'm glad that she noticed that. It shows intentionality... even though she was super angry about it. When I asked for a blowout, though, all she did was straighten it. The hair stayed straight throughout the night, though. That was nice. I did not go back. For the price paid, it was not worth it for me. Maybe this place will work for other women, but it doesn't work for me. The stylist was nice. The problem with the salon were the hidden costs. Do not think you are getting a full foil for what it says on the website. Foil + color+ tonor+haircut+ style= a LOT MORE MONEY than you planned for. We will not be back. We paid 90.00 for then we were planning to spend. I was in the area on vacation this past summer and really just needed an hour to myself. Why would I need some "me time" when I'm on vacation you ask? Well... I was on vacation with about 15 other family members including my 5 month old preemie son who was having horrible issues with reflux and not sleeping through the night yet either. So yeah... mama needed a minute of relaxation on this not so relaxing vacay. I pulled up my trusty Yelp app and low and behold, there was a blow dry bar nearby. I was able to get a same day appointment and I enjoyed every minute of it. For someone who has had many blowouts at all different dry bars and salons, I have to say this experience was not the best of them all, but a great one nonetheless. The inside of this place is super cute and trendy. All the women working here were really nice and helpful too. I was late to my appointment (I did call to let them know though) so they told me they only had time to either just wash my hair and blow it out straight, or style it with dry shampoo. Totally fair, I was just happy they could get me in last minute, so I went with the wash and straight blow out. I really wish the wash would have been more involved. Usually at a dry bar theres a nice scalp massage included, or a hot towel or something special. It was pretty much your standard wash. The blowout itself looked great. I know it's not that hard to blow dry someone's hair out straight (or maybe it is?), but for the amount of hair I have I was impressed that they got it so sleek with just a round brush and all in like 45 minutes (including the wash)! Bombshell is definitely the best option in the area for a blowout or hairstyle -- highly recommend them! read more

So I wanted to redo my platinum bayalage since it's been a year I decided to check out bombshell. They charged me $250 just for 3 stripes on my hair where it parts and one on each side of of my ear and they were yellow not even blonde i didn't notice till I get to my car where is much brighter I wasn't happy so I called to complain went for another consultation and the manager I believe claimed that what I asked for wasn't bayalage when I specifically put it down on my booking and told the stylist she said she would have to charge me $113 to get my hair how I wanted like how does that make sense since I went there to get my bayalage retouched I went and got my hair done hoping she would fix it she had my hair platinum when I left the salon but when I washed it a week later my hair was yellow blonde again I spent $375 for yellow highlights and the technique she used was awful no blending you see huge blob of yellow In some areas I will never set foot in this establishment. read more

I went into Bomshell with high expectations.I was there with a wedding party. I had my hair done, make up applied and had polish applied to my fingernails. For my hair, I had it mostly done when I walked in. The stylist that was assigned to me spent about 15 minutes adding a few curls with a iron. Sprayed a little hair spray and I was done. I have very short hair and was overwhelmed with the price I was charged. My make up was applied just the way I wanted it. Loved this part of experience. For my nails, my cuticles were pushed back and then polish applied. That was it. I was not very happy with since I was expecting a full manicure and again the price was overwhelming. I liked how I looked when I walked out but for the price, I could have it done all myself. I would recommend others but be prepared because it is not cheap. read more

I recently moved to the area looking for a great salon. This one caught my eye and figured I'd give it a shot. I came in with high expectations. I asked for an ombre. At the end all I got was highlights. I paid almost $200 for something I didn't ask for. I wanted to say something but it was already a late appointment and maybe here in Holland their definition of an "ombre" is just highlights?? A bit disappointed. I will not return, unfortunately.
