They have a nice gift shop as well with a lot of yummy goods and some little souvenirs. I definitely would recommend and want to go back and bring my nieces and nephews to take part in some of the other activities. I think some of the other kid activities might cost money but for this trip the only things I paid for were the goods I received (drinks and gift shop products) which was awesome compared to other places I've been.

RVP has a couple dozen prototype pieces of furniture that are representative of what was made in Iowa in 1875. Robby makes the furniture with the same tools from 1875, with the same wood, with all wooden joints. Although the display furniture (prototype) is not for sale, one can order based upon it choosing the type of wood and finish that you want. Understanding that high quality furniture is not cheap, I was very surprised at the relatively reasonable prices (for high quality furniture). I have seen much lesser quality pieces elsewhere at much higher prices. We had a very interesting and informative 15-20 presentation/discussion about the furniture, the workshop, the process, and the history.

What they got was a living room rug, my dresser and that's it. Next stop West Des Moines to where I moved on the fist floor 50 steps my new apt and they charged $701. Which is ridiculous. Last year I moved a one bedroom with garage to Polk City and they charged $950. The movers were great. It's not their fault. It's just is not going to the best Christmas. Be aware about his quote and get it in writing. I live on social security and I was taken advantage of. I just called Two men and a Truck to act like I was moving and they said they would send a contract over for $350! Exactly half.

The guys they sent were skinny and puny and couldn't ultimately move one of the items we'd specifically TOLD THEM IN ADVANCE that we'd need moved. When I tell you in advance that the things we're moving were too heavy for us to move ourselves, I don't understand why you'd send three puny wimps.
