I stopped going in Walmart because it takes too long to go through the checkout lane, the isles are littered with pallets and hard to find anyone for help.Typically the only express/ self checkout open is on the east end, the 20 items or less/ express takes long than a normal checkout lane. Lanes 12, 5,7 and 3 are the only ones open and that's when they are extremely busy! The Walmart in Laurel, Montana is by far the nicest Walmart I have seen in years, a clean store, no pallets in the isles and almost all the checkout lanes are open. I sure wish Cody Walmart was that way.

Imagine our surprise when we saw this store while checking out Cody downtown. It turns out to be just 2 blocks from our hotel. They have a very good variety and inventory of travel and outdoor performance clothing and gear. We always manage to find something even thought we may not have any specific things to be looking for. In this case, I found a very nice, high tech fabric, short sleeved shirt at more than half off! I bought it and I liked it so much, I wore it that night when we went out for dinner. It was a $40 shirt for just $15.99 and there were no blemishes or seconds. It was perfect! My wife also found a few things as well. So, since it wasn't even on our radar, this turned out to be a really nice surprise and we left very happy! Jim

I even developed photos for a gift using the very simple photo booth machine. The customer service ladies made my life easy by downloading the WAL-MART app. At the end of each purchase use the app to take a picture of the bar code. Now there is a record of purchase without saving your paper receipts. We were a bit surprised there was never a wait time to check out here, Magic. A+ All around the house WAL-MART!

Lovely yarns for knitting and crafting (Lydia L where are you?), home accessories like candles and pillows and wonderful big latte cups with saucers that could double up for serving soup, clothing, personal care items like colorful hair clips and fabulous bath products. Some things are local and others artisan focused national brands. Such friendly people work here and they are very happy to answer questions and point you in the right direction but are not at all pushy. Located downtown right next door to Red Velvet Bakery and I discovered Twisted Hearts when we went to Red Velvet for breakfast given the stores are interconnected and open up to each other. (Which means the same beautiful old wood floors are in Twisted Hearts so be sure to look down as your browse about.) Sadly, I lacked the time to shop there as I wanted to and stay on my schedule.
