Ordered the half sized original Korean fried chicken, spicy rice cakes and pork bone hot pot. Chicken was amazing, super crispy and not greasy. Was disappointed that they took away the garlicholic flavor-when did that happen and why?? I haven't been here for a while. Spicy rice cakes were tasty but way too spicy. Look at the picture-it looks like liquid fire. Pork bone soup was just ok.. seems like the pork was frozen for a long time ......??? One of the waiters seemed like he really didn't want to be at work lol don't blame him

Sooo happy I came upon this gem. Ordered a bunch of dishes and they were all tasty. Boneless plain fried chicken was super extra crispy and super moist. Just big hunks of juicy meat. Probably the best I have tried around here. I would go back just for the chicken and to try other flavors. Tofu soup was flavorful, galbi was spot on and yam fries were a yummy crispy bonus. Only wish I had beer.

I love the ambiance of this place. The food is good and service is not bad. we ordered the ox bone soup, beef tripe, takoyaki and steamed dumplings.

This is a fantastic and authentic Korean food experience in Surrey. This restaurant reminded me a bit of Andamiro Korean Bistro with their lunch specials except a bit more expensive in terms of pricing. However, the lunch specials are a great way to try a couple items and get more variety out of the meal. Service was fast. They have the call bell system where you press the button for staff to stop by your table. The banchan were good. My favourite was the mashed potato. I enjoyed my go to seafood tofu stew. I love the spicy soup with the tofu and seafood on rice. There was enough heat in the stew and lots of soft tofu. The grilled beef ribs were marinated with the typical beef sauce you find at many restaurants. Overall, it was a very good dining experience. Service was fast. Food tasted great. There was ample free parking when we showed up, but the restaurant quickly filled up during the lunch rush. I also saw a number of Koreans dining here which is always a good sign.

Great value for great food. Everything that we ordered tasted really fresh. Some of the best Korean fried chicken we have had, the pork hock was delicious as well. Noodle salad we probably won't order next time. It wasn't very busy when we came so service was good. We would come back if in the area.

Nestled in the wrong side of town, set in an unsuspecting and small store outlet lies something great. Walking up to the door, this place stands out like a gem gleaming in a desert only to be overshadowed by what you see upon entering. A beautiful and clean scene with soothing music, great service and kindness like visiting an old friend. I want to come back here, it really feels like a shame to have to go back to southern California after eating in a place that I enjoyed so thoroughly. The portions are great, the food is fresh and simply awesome! This place is a 5 diamond experience at good price. I really cannot gone enough commendations to what was created here.. Go eat here and get the fried dumplings. I also recommend the bulgoga bimbibap on a hot stone. Knocked it out of the park. Thanks for a grand experience!

Takeout lunch combo. LA beef rib with seafood tofu soup.

New Korean restaurant in Whalley area. Restaurant looks very clean and the server was very friendly. Had their lunch combo LA grilled beef ribs with spicy seafood soft tofu soup for takeout . Also came with side dishes and rice. The beef rib could be grilled more for my liking. The soft tofu soup is very flavorful and lots of seafood and tofu but I wish they give me more soup. I would definitely try other dishes next time.

Bon Ga Korean Restaurant is nearby our apartment in Surrey BC, but we have never been there before. We went to Bon Ga Korean Restaurant for lunch one day during the weekend. Actually, the food there is great. The restaurant is not big, but it's very clean and organized. The servers were all Korean people who were nice and friendly. The picture menu could help non-Korean customers to easier order the food. There is an order/pay button on each table for customers to reach the servers, which is really cool. The food was a decent and large portion with cheaper price. We ordered lunch combos which were around $11.  Besides my boyfriend and I are not Korean, the rest of customers are all Koreans.  We were so surprised. I believe that this restaurant has very traditional Korean food. Very great experiences. We love to go back to Bon Ga Korean Restaurant again soon.

This place, tucked away just 5 minutes' driving distance from Coquitlam Centre, is clearly beloved by the local Korean community. The portion sizes are generous. They are perfect for sharing with family or friends. We saw many families and younger groups dining in, which gave it a cozy, homey vibe. We can taste the love and comfort in every bite. Here's what we ordered: * Beef Tartare Bibimbap - Not your typical bibimbap! The raw beef was beautifully seasoned and full of flavour. This was hands down our favourite dish! * Naengmyeon - Cold noodles in a super refreshing broth. Perfectly chewy with a balanced, savoury tang. A must-have on a hot day. * Japchae - Excellent portion, great price. The noodles were springy and not greasy at all--just the right balance of flavour. Great value, quality ingredients, and authentic flavours--Hansol is definitely going on our go-to list whenever we're craving comforting Korean food. We are highly recommend it for students, families, or anyone who loves real Korean cooking! Food: 5/5 Must Try! Service: 5/5 Kids: 4/5 Yay! Price: $30-$40 each person (dinner) Presentation: 3/5 Parking: 4/5 Tips: * Free refillable banchan (side dishes) * Must-try: naengmyeon (cold noodles) * Hidden gem: beef tartare bibimbap-flavourful and beautifully presented. * Limited seating - expect wait during peak hours * Tasty, affordable, and generous portions Would I Return: Yes ‍

I found this restaurant through an IG foodie's recommendation. This restaurant is always very busy,…read moreand on weekends, there is always a lineup. We ordered short rib BBQ, Beef tartare Bibimbap, and original-flavor deep-fried chicken wings. Beef tartare Bibimbap was served in a hot stone bowl with a variety of vegetables on top of the rice. The gochujang sauce was served separately, allowing us to adjust the spiciness to our preference. It was a pretty good dish. The short rib BBQ was very tender and nicely seasoned. It was slightly on the sweeter side, very delicious. I will definitely order it again. The original flavor deep-fried chicken wings were served fresh and hot. They were incredibly crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside--very good! Next time, I should order them with a flavored seasoning, as I already knew the original version was cooked with less saltiness, meant to be paired with a sauce. Overall, I really like this restaurant. The food tasted good, and the most notable point was the reasonable price! It was a very good deal, and it has now become one of my regular go-to places.

Our party of six waited over an hour to be seated. If my mother hadn't spoken up, we likely would have waited even longer. Although reservations are not accepted, guests are placed on a waitlist upon arrival. Our name was clearly on the queue, but not in Korean and while I initially understood smaller parties of two or four being seated ahead of us based on table availability, concerns arose when another party of six--who was behind us in line (name was written in Korean--was seated before us. This was deeply frustrating, as we were next in line for a table that could accommodate six people. When we raised the issue, the hostess admitted it was a mistake, yet still chose to seat the other group first. They were 5th in the queue. Despite our complaint, there was no sincere apology, and we were forced to wait an additional 10 minutes while they set up another table. The entire situation left us feeling unfairly treated and discriminated against. As loyal customers who regularly spend over $300 per visit ordering family combos, extra dishes, drinks, and more, this was incredibly disappointing. Sadly, we will not be returning. There are many other restaurants that treat their customers with fairness, respect, and appreciation.
