They had a special anniversary celebration and had lots of pet food vendors I wasn't aware of that were so knowledgeable and had free samples and I feel so much better buying my dogs food here because it sells quality brands not sold at Petsmart, Petco etc. I also love supporting small businesses when I can! They also have rewards program for buying a certain number of bags if dog food you get one free! You must check them out. read more

On Jan 16th I called the store at 5:45 PM said what I needed and would be close to 6PM. I was going out of town and needed food for my three dogs. When I arrived at 5:58 the lights were off and the doors locked. I knocked and looked thru the windows. No one there. I then took this picture of my watch by the closed sign. I left a Message for management to call No one returned my call. I assume the same person came in the morning and erased the message. Went back again today for the reason of supporting small business. They could not find my purchase records. I was due the discount for my "points" but did not receive it. I have been going here for years. I live across town. I'm done. This is why small business fails. Poor customer service. read more

Called to verify that the pet wash was open. Was told yes. I arrived 15 minutes later and was told they had "run out of towels" and it would be "30 minutes to an hour" before they'd have towels again. Who runs out of towels?! You run a dog wash! read more

This was very upsetting to us. We recently went in to wash our two dogs. The cheaper self wash was occupied with 5 small dogs for awhile, so we were given the option of using their more expensive all-in-one machine. We decided instead of going home and coming back we'd pay more and use it. We also decided we'd be fine with using the machine's shampoo since Missy told us it was for sensitive skin. She explained, as it's been explained before every time we wash our dogs there, customers cannot use their own shampoo in that machine. We completely understand and respect that policy. We prefer the other dog wash station anyway and would always use it if available. We paid for two dogs and received 30 min. of time. I also bought a bag of food, some dental chews and treats, as we've been part of their loyalty program for 5 years. I took all my purchased items out to the car, along with the bag I had brought in carrying the shampoo. I returned with only the bag carrying my keys, phone and water bottle. After we left, I get a phone call from Missy (she looked my number up because I'm a loyalty customer) accusing us of using our own shampoo. She said unfortunately they were banning us from using that dog wash ever again because there were too many suds in the tub and it smelled like perfume which meant it wasn't the machine's soap (that was her so called proof). My jaw dropped. I swore to her we DID NOT use our own shampoo!! We know the policy well and we would never do anything to jeopardize their warranty. We are honest and respectful customers. I was so upset, I had to pass the phone to my husband. He explained to her that by washing two larger dogs, we used each of the 4 wash steps longer than the proposed time given by the machine. We do like to lather our dogs up well (easier to do with their short hair) and wash them thoroughly. With two of us, he had almost a constant stream of either shampoo, conditioner or flea and tick wash going while I scrubbed them. We did not rinse much between steps as it seemed to be leave-in products .Were there suds from the shampoo, conditioner, and flea and tick steps (being used for almost 20 min.). Absolutely! We noticed a mild fragrance with the shampoo and conditioner. There was more of a fragrance with the flea and tick wash. Unfortunately, Missy chose to handle this situation very poorly. We will never step foot in their store again. read more

I love this store. Always helpful and offer a wide variety of items for being so small. They have dog food that Chewy/Petsmart doesn't even sell so if you're looking for some specialty food, ask them and they should be able to help you. I have been buying from Bon Pet supply since they opened. But today I was extremely disappointed. They claimed to be open until 5, and I showed up at 4:58, completely out of dog food and needing to make a purchase. The door was locked, and when they heard me try the door, they shut the lights off. Shame on on you Taylor. Your staff let the customers down because they were too lazy to help. You will not see us again, and we will spread the word you are more interested in closing early than serving your loyal customers. read more

I really like Amanda and her staff. Sassy thinks they are great too! I have been using Hill's Science Diet for years, but they had a kerfuffle about mis-labeled cans and a factory recall, so Science Diet was briefly unavailable. They showed me some other options and directed me to one that is not only healthier, but was a little less money as well. They could have just as easily up-sold me to something more expensive, but I felt that they truly feel this is a better product for my dog. When it comes to Sassy, I am not price-sensitive in any case. I like that the shop is in the Bon Shopping Center which is dog-friendly as appropriate and parking is at storefront, although I usually park once and walk among all the shops as I do my banking, get my hardware, get my dry cleaning or have stuff engraved or purchase jewelry. I even picked up a "grabber" when my wife had surgery at a place that sells stuff like walkers, canes and other stuff for the disabled and recovering. read more

I went in yesterday and explained how my sick cat is very picky eater and only eating broccoli. Tori was so helpful and shared a story about her lab too. The other employees were engaged and helped locate some samples for me, plus they bounce questions off each other, so you're sure to get a good answer. We discovered this store when a pet-supply chain was out of our brand of cat litter. Our cats tend to boycott the litter box if there's a change in the type of litter, so we were in a panic. Bon Pet Supply did not have our brand of cat litter, but the employees suggested a new brand that they thought would be a good substitute. We were skeptical, but in a bind. We brought home the cat litter, it worked fine (fooled our cats), and now we just buy that brand from Bon. We also enjoy the idea of supporting an independent business. read more

We live on Wahsatch, so this place has been very convenient. Also we have three dogs so need a lot of stuff. I generally buy my chicken supplies at Buckley's, but, again for convenience, I recently purchased Chick Starter from this store. As soon as I dumped the new into the bag of what I already had I could tell it was rancid - you can't mistake that smell. When I took the entire bag (theirs mixed with mine now) into the store and complained, they said chick food does not have a shelf life. When I said that it was clearly rancid, the guy said he could give me a refund for their product. I took it and left a note and my phone number on my receipt. They did try to call me once. I called back and left a message, but never heard back again. First of all, their 5 lbs ruined my 3.68 lbs (weighed it), second I looked on the bags (mine and theirs) and the date on the bag was April 2015 - 2 years ago. Chicken food has a shelf life; grain goes rancid; so does dog food, by the way. This should not be a surprise to a shop that sells food. I get that it's convenient, but don't buy anything from them without checking the date. Old food may not hurt our healthy pets, but babies, old or health compromised pets may not be able to survive eating 2 year old food. read more
