A close friend of ours wanted to go to Thailand and Vietnam for her 70th birthday this month. She…read morehired Teresa to plan it for us. Normally, I'm the one with my group of friends who always plans big trips. I've done lots of them, and I think I do a really good job at it. Let me say, that the trip Teresa planned for our group was the best trip I've ever been on in my entire life! We were in Thailand for 10 days, and Vietnam for 10days. From the moment we arrived in Thailand until we left Vietnam it was about as perfect as it could have been. We stayed in the most beautiful hotels and did the most unforgettable tours and adventures. The tour companies she picked to lead us through these countries were top notch. Their guides and vans couldn't have been better. Every airport we arrived in, they were there to greet us and take us through all the craziness right onto the vans that were always there waiting for us. We felt like Rockstars the entire time. In Vietnam (where you have to have a visa) 2 of our party of 8 had trouble with their visa. I can truly say if we had booked this trip ourselves we wouldn't have gotten them into or out of the country. We called Teresa (middle of the night in U.S.) and she called somebody there in Hanoi who came to the Hanoi airport and got them in to the country. Then when we left, the same guy showed up to make sure we were able to get them out of the country. Some of the many highlights were: Two day guided tour of Bangkok- Golden Palace, canal ride through city, ride on Tuk-tuks, flower market, ride through floating market. In Chaing Mai we went to an Elephant Sanctuary and also went to a Cookng school. Then in Phuket we explored beautiful beaches and one day went over to John Gray's Sea Canoes for another adventure of a life time. In Vietnam we did a walking/scooter tour of Hanoi. It was one of the most thrilling scary things I've ever done, but loved all of it! In Sapa we walked through tribal villages and met the local people. Ending the tour we were on our own private ship in Halong bay, where we explored caves, saw a floating village and pearl farm, and rode kayaks around the beautiful rocks. Then to top it off we went on a seaplane around the bay. AMAZING I must say (besides the problem with the visas) we had absolutely no stress on this trip. Every place we went, people were there waiting for us. They always had water and snacks for us in the vans too. Every hotel we checked into, they were waiting for us keys in hand. We wanted to change a time, or a plan a little, no problem. Needed a good place for a massage, no problem and the guide stayed with us until we were done! Because I am the person who plans trips I really appreciate Teresa's attention to so many details of this trip. It's like she thought of absolutely everything. She knew how many days we needed in each place, when was a good time for a rest day, a travel day etc. I can't say enough about how well she planned this trip for us. Thanks Teresa for providing us with such amazing memories from this trip of a lifetim

We chose to arrive early so to ensure we weren't late. Before leaving the starting point, we were provided clear instructions from the kind staff members, also, they answered any in all of our questions allowing us to choose one of the available bikes on the track. One of us were responsible for handling the electric speed when we weren't pedaling, I believe it was just a lever or a push button, not too fast and not too slow of a speed but just right. This was great to utilize when we needed a break from pedaling, hee. There was also a break lever between us to slow down or stop if needed, great safety option. Each bike was provided one keepsake River Fox backpack that had two waters and a snack for each of us to partake in afterwards, how thoughtful. We took a beautiful ride through a countryside setting. Reaching our turnaround point allowing us to disembark for like under 10 minutes, at this point, you could sip on the provided water or take a bite of the snack provided while the kind staff easily maneuvering each railbikes, turning them back around. How do you become a regular at a welcome center? Well she took me for the first time. Good size and clean. HUGE unisex restroom. Plenty of souvenirs to buy. Lots of history to study. Atmosphere - See pictures and read above. Service - So welcoming. Gave me a pamphlet for the local wineries and breweries. This might be my new "Livermore?!?!" Price - Free. Well, it depends if you buy souvenirs. Owner Comment - Thank you for such a welcoming center, pun intended.

One time two of them telling me stories of the Women Prison at the museum at Historic Court House. It is actually outside the Court House, if one looks, there was small area for the bed, the sink, and the toilet. Very first time I ever visited Auburn, asked of Forgotten Soldier Program Park. Wow, it is walkable of this Auburn Visitor Center. Now this to me strange. There also Placer County Visitor Center. I am fourth person for that. What is strange it is exact address, same directions, same telephone number.

Rangers were FANTASTIC at the Visitor's Center and guided us toward 3 driving tours we could take. Started with the South Fork Lookout fire trail, which winds up to an amazing view of all of Whiskeytown Lake and environs. It was a very chilly 40° but, for us, beautiful. The could of rain were sweeping up, and over, the mountain we were on. We got out of the car long enough for photos, videos, fresh air, then dodged back in and headed back down. We were able to appreciate the width and breadth of the Carr Fire in 2018 and imagined the beauty prior to that fateful event. But we also took a moment to appreciate the beautiful remnants left on the scorched earth and how beautiful it will be again in time. After the South Fork Lookout trail, we headed to the sight dedicated by JFK during his last trip to California, just a few months before his assassination. It is now a memorial and is a fantastic look at an incredible engineering accomplishment. After this, we intended a 2+ hour circle tour of Hwy 299 W + SR 3 circling back towards Redding, but the evening was nearing, sunlight fading, so we changed plans and headed just around Whiskeytown Lake on Shoreline Drive. We are so glad we did! Lots of deer, beautiful scenery and a feeling that all this beauty was just for us. Note: both these trails, South Fork and Shoreline are dirt, so better to do these treks in a vehicle made for these drives. We thoroughly enjoyed this area and stopped back in to the Visitor's Center to thank the rangers again. Great day!

Sandy is a sleazy B-level travel agent with absolutely zero professional ethics and utter disregard…read morefor keeping to her own words. Do you agree ethics matter in business? If you do, then you will stay away from dealing with her. Here is what happened: We made connection with Sandy for one of our clients (Mr.D) during December 2015 for his trip to US. We found Sandy on her Virtuoso website, and worked with her to design Mr.D's travel plans. She did take care of our client, and she made a profit of close to $1000. At the time of closing the sale, early December, she agreed and she gave in writing that she would part with our 10% commission as a finder's fee. I kept in regular touch with her, and during mid-May, I confronted her as to why it's taking so long. And, then she exploded. She went into a crazy email rant about her business ethics and how the measly 10% commission doesn't matter to her because she is doing a great volume of business. Well, I thought, may be, there is a method behind the 'Sandy craziness', and she would keep her word. But, no, not in Sandy's case, because Sandy is all about skirting, and avoiding the issue as best as she can. Till date, we have reminded her multiple times, invoiced her, and even given our legal counsel address for mailing the check. A 10% commission on her profits equals $100 - is not a huge difference in the grand scheme of things. What matters is how Sandy treats her business clients/partners. As I stated earlier, princess Sandy feels written words don't make a difference as long as she has her way. I know Virtuoso agents are top notch, because we do work with a few of them. Having worked with other Virtuoso agents, none of them come close to Sandy, in terms of delivering the most disgusting and horrible experience that you can imagine. Just another "All Talk No Action" Star, no respect for other people's time, and values commitment like a toilet paper. ====== Response to her comment on 7/15: -------------------------------------------- As if --- Sandy would do the right thing! I saw her response, and .... YAWN!!!! She claims the address provided to her is incorrect, and bounced. Well, that's our legal counsel and as far as I can tell they are still there. Well, let's give her the benefit of doubt. May be she is right, and may be, I gave her the incorrect address, because I don't want to get paid. Right? Really? I have to be a genius to give an invalid address to collect payments owed to our business. After been in touch with Sandy for more than 6 months, we knew sleazy sandy will not deliver. Which is why we sent her an email invoice on May 26th with credit card instructions. What does Sandy do? Like any B-grade professional, ignore and go on to Yelp to put up a defense only misquoting again as to what happened.
