I love Bonanza, a basic neighborhood store with the best Manchango cheese ever. If you are pleasant the staff will go out of their way to help you. The home made yogurt is amazing. They will carry your groceries out and even call a taxi for you. Try to remember that you are in a foreign country and good manners are important. read more

I'm not sure what the deal is with the negative reviews but this small store is fantastic. Clean, well-stocked, friendly/helpful staff -- what else one could hope for? Note: Super Bonanza doesn't carry fresh fruit or vegetables and only the most basic of meats but beyond that we were impressed. read more

I ordered 100 gm of Parmesan cheese and what I got was a hard peripheral part of the rind. It was obvious to me that the clerk did not have any knowledge of how to properly cut the cheese. I tried to explain how it should be done. It is a universal knowledge that the Parmesan cheese wheel must be cut into smaller portions in a radial form to create wedges to ensure that each piece has a balanced amount of rind and cheese. Unfortunately, Instead of being thankful to me for trying to educate the stuff including the manager, the cashier and two clerks they attacked me very rudely like a pack of wolves telling me that in Mexico they do it this way and they had no interest to change. I ended up throwing away the cheese they sold to me because it was an unusable hard rind and no actual cheese. I found the store has no notion about the customer service and to make it even worse the arrogant, militant and callous attitude of the manager exaggerated by her ignorance is astounding and absolutely unacceptable. Without a doubt I sensed that big part of mistreating me was their raging prejudice because I am being a foreigner. I have been traveling all my live. I lived and I visited over 120 countries, but I never encountered anywhere such total absence of customer service, rudeness, prejudice, stubbornness, ignorance and, forgive me for saying this, stupidity. I will never put my foot into this terribly mismanaged store and advise others to do the same. Shame, shame... read more

Convenient store to have nearby but the "blond" cashier is quite rude and very unpleasant. She thinks too highly of herself. She treats both customers and her workers very badly. read more

They sold me a carton of spoiled 1/2 & 1/2. I went back with the receipt and they refused to give me my money back or exchange for a new carton. They were very rude and to my amazement, to prove I was wrong the lady actually drank from the carton. Unsanitary to say the least and poor customer service. read more

Great experience. They had everything I had been looking for. A cozy little grocery store that sells a little bit of everything and then some ;) read more

A good selection of hard to find food items. And a very snippy attitude from the owner who sits behind the register. They sell herbs and spices in by the gram. That's nice. What's less than nice is the owners snippy attitude. read more

Bonanza is a "Rare Gem". Where does it warehouse all those products that are always on the shelves. This business should be written up in the Harvard Business Review as an enterprise success that continues day-by-day with the same level of good business ethics and customer courtesy. Horrible experience , although the shop has more products than any other shop in centro , which always made me come back to this place, the staff , mainly the lady - cashier has the most awful actitud ! Even when she tries to smile or say thank you it is not sincere and looks like she is doing a favor to look at you , always busy on her phone , be careful she can overcharge you! This happened to me once and lately even worse... my husband went shopping and he paid with a 500 Pesos bill... she gave him change from 200 Pesos!!!! Not only she didn't accept the mistake but even didn't try to check in the cameras to see who was right! I am not going back to this place ! I can manage the unpleasant actitud but not cheating! read more
