PROCEED WITH CAUTION. EXTREME MISTREATMENT. It's a shame there aren't negative stars. Without a doubt the worst place I've ever stayed in my entire life. I have traveled to many cities, countries, and continents For work and for vacation, and have never been treated in this manner. As a Texan I know hospitality, how to treat your clients and I have never been spoken to the way the owner Jorge spoke to me and my friends.
First of all we had extreme difficulty finding the house. There are multiple numbers on the same street and you will get lost. When you get to the door there is no one to greet you, no one to help you up the stairs, and no one to make sure you are ok. Above all else the door was plywood...I'm serious. How safe right? After such a wonderful night of the Day of the Dead Festival we were tired and ready to sleep. My friends and I were promised beds and rooms and most of us were force to sleep on blow up mattresses and couches. And then...above all else at breakfast we were treated with such disdain and disgust. Jorge talked to us first like we didn't exist, then as friends, and then as enemies. Do you want to experience this type of selfishness? We cleaned up our space and prepared to leave to our next, more accommodating hotel. My friends and I only had dollars left and the owner was so infuriated that he stole more I from my friends, even when they paid more pesos then expected. I know this sounds ridiculous but that's the only way to describe the owner of this "hotel." Never have I seen a man talk to women in such a manner. If you want an incredible place to stay in San Miguel DO NOT stay here. read more
