Dining at Bondi Icebergs Club was an experience! Absolutely loved the contrast, vibrance and furnishing of their interior decor. The view of the Bondi Beach and the water was also spectacular. Pairing it with good company and deliciously appetizing meal, couldn't have asked for better. There was nothing short of the staff either. All were friendly and accommodating. Upon entry, we checked in with identification and was directed by the host as to where we can be seated. We were presented with a menu of their selection for the season and ordered through the bar where each order was given a buzzer. Pick-up of said order would be at the kitchen, not far from the host stand. Every dish looked scrumptious! I ordered ricotta gnocchi to share and absolutely loved it. There were roasted vegetables that was an absolute perfection and the gnocchi filled with ricotta cheese checked all the boxes for me! That was delectable! This is a must during your visit! It's a "private" club, but visitors can get in with their passport. This was an amazing restaurant! The views overlook Bondi Beach as well as the pool! A great spot to enjoy a meal and just take it all in. The food was very good! I had the lobster and prawn roll. It was delicious and fresh. It came with fries that were crisp and seasoned perfectly. It also came with a small salad that had a citrus vinaigrette type dressing that was very refreshing. There aren't any waitstaff here. Finally got to visit the famous Bondi Icebergs and I was not disappointed! Grabbed a drink and a bite to eat upstairs at the dining room and then popped down to the pool to swim a few laps. It was SO cold but very refreshing!! The ocean water pouring into the pool was very cool to see. The pool closer to the ocean was occupied with many lap swimmers. As I am not a great swimmer I swam in the back pool which was a lot more mellow and had more families lounging around. Great experience and would love to visit again!! read more

This is a great restaurant to enjoy dinner with direct view of the Bondi Beach and only a few min walk from the beach via the shortcut walkway. The service was great and so as the atmosphere. We had a big celebration and everyone had a great time thanks to the staff. read more

The views are phenomenal. Drinks were delish, especially the peach sangria. We had the arancini and it was so good as were the seasoned chips. For mains, we had the burger, chicken parm and the Zaatar spiced half chicken. All of the food was astounding. I would highly recommend. The pool was freezing and it did not warm up the longer you stayed. It was an experience. The pool had lap lanes. It sit atop the ocean. Great views of the waves crashing in and about. Entry is 10AUD which about $6USD. Has lockers and what's cool they keep your key. Good plan so as I'm sure it may get lost. Also showers to wash off if desired. You really cannot beat the view at this location. I was taken away by the sweeping, picturesque, full unobstructed view of Bondi Beach as I ate. Service here is a little slow. That is to be expected with such a busy place. You order at the bar, and you get a buzzer that goes off when your food is ready. I got a shrimp pasta, and I was really pleased with how generous they were with the protein. This is the perfect place to die in after a day at the beach. The crew on our flight in said we had to come to the Bondi iceburgers club, it's their favorite place, so here we are. At the door we had to show our identification and signed our way inside. This is a Member's only swim club unless we have international identification then we can come in as a guest. There were lots of people with very expensive camera equipment taking photos of the spectacular views. There were beautiful bodies at the beach below. I was told the women would not allowed even inside the swim club until 1993. We have a table right on the water facing the pool and the crashing of the ocean. People are so friendly and very interesting. As we enjoyed our drinks and snacks, we watched the swimmers below and the surfers in the ocean. We ordered ice cold drinks and my husband a burger. Of the three days we were in Bondi we ended coming here twice. The view here is absolute iconic. Right by the entrance of the Bondi to Coogee walk, which I also highly recommend. FOOD POISONING! I've called this restaurant multiple times (nobody picks up the phone and there is no way to leave a message) and I've also sent an email kindly explaining our food poisoning and have received no response. Our family had Sunday lunch in the beautiful setting of this club only to walk away with two of our family members receiving food poisoning. They shared a salad, lobster roll and poke bowl. Do not eat here. Our holiday plans have been drastically altered now (we had to cancel our dinner reservations and plans for blue mountains. Today we couldn't even walk the botanical gardens.) Vomiting, constant nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea. Avoid eating at Bondi Icebergs Club! And, employees do better: pick up your phones and answer your email! Where is the manager? I hate to think of how many other people out there are getting sick. Bottom line: terrible food and no service (you have to order at the bar and nobody checks in while you dine). I wish we would have gone to the finer Italian restaurant. I was able to phone them, by the way. Ambiance is one of the most beautiful in the world. Great food, great service, paired with even more amazing views! I went during summer in Sydney (December) and sat outside on the balcony to eat. Watching the waves hit the ocean edge pool below and the people swimming below was such a calming scene. The club is said to be exclusive, but if you provide your a personal identification and sign up to be a free member, you can access the restaurant for free. I don't think many people know about this unless you truly walked inside to ask, so don't be afraid to approach the front desk! We stopped here for the view and because it was the first bar/restaurant in view after making it through the Coogee to Bondi coastal walk. We got here just before 1PM and the place was packed. It is self-serve and self-seating so it took us a little while to scope out a table that was just finishing. Just a heads up, they card you before you enter, so be prepared with some sort of ID with your birthdate on it. The menu is limited to mostly fried things and seafood, although there are a few salad and burger/steak options. I just wanted something to munch on so I ordered the $10 bowl of wedge cut fries. They were delicious and hit the spot after a 3 hour long hike! There is a full bar as well with some great deals for bottles. Before we headed to the beach I also ordered an iced coffee (coffee with cream and a dollop of ice cream) just so I could say that I had tried an Aussie version of it. I must say that the US version of iced coffee is sorely lacking and every iced coffee should come with ice cream! I would definitely recommend this place for tourists given the view. Plus, the iceberg pools downstairs are a perfect way to enjoy the coast without the associated sand in your hiney and dangers of being washed away by the tides! read more

We're having a romantic Valentine's Day staycation at Bondi Beach, and there's nowhere nicer than Bondi Icebergs for dinner. We've been here many times to the Club section and always enjoy it. Fantastic views, good food and wine, helpful and friendly staff. It's their 90th anniversary year too! You grab a table yourself where the menus are and order at the bar. They give you a radio disc that beeps and flashes when it's ready for pickup. The club is popular so you really need to leave someone or something at the table to make sure to reserve it while you collect the meals. Typical club fashion so I'm not marking them down for that. The Bondi icebergs pool has been a landmark for more than 100 years and is totally worth the visit. This pool is on the edge of crashing ocean waves and is an experience to view and also swim in. Admission for adults is $9 , kids $6 and families $25. All prices include access to showers, sauna and changing room. Towels cost an extra $4. The lanes closer to the ocean are the most challenging ones to swim in considering ocean waves are regularly crashing on to them. If you are a beginner , it would be best to swim on the left most lanes, away from the ocean . There is a large lap pool (pictured) and a smaller kids pool - both with qualified lifeguards on patrol during opening hours all year round. The icebergs restaurant and cafe are must dos if you want a view of the ocean while you enjoy a leisurely brunch! read more

Three friends and I came in for a late lunch at around 3 and the place was pretty empty (not that I'm complaining because that just means we got our pick of front row seats!) But then again, 3 is a weird time for lunch. I blame jet lag. That and we were trying to get our tan on at the beach beforehand. Before you go in, you have to sign in with some form of ID at the front desk. Even if you're not planning on using the pool, which unfortunately we did not get a chance to check out. We were on a tight schedule so we only had time for a quick bite. You order at the counter, they give you a buzzer, and when it goes off, you pick your food up at the counter. I decided to go with the steak sandwich. Can't go wrong with that, right? WRONG! The steak had a lot of fatty chunks and veins. It was also greasy and bland. So if I were to base my review just off the food, it would probably be 2 stars. Drinks are actually pretty cheap (wines start at $5.50, and I think maybe $6 or $7 for a beer?) I would have thought it would be more expensive, being that it's a club and given its location. You should deffo stop by if you're in Bondi. It's probably about a 5 minute walk from the beach. We were only in town for the New Year's holiday and went walking on Bondi Beach on NYE day. We went in and asked if there was a table for 4. Unfortunately, all dining room tables were filled so I asked if there was seating at the bar, and there was! With a view of the ocean and we could get food (perhaps a truncated menu from the dining room choices) and full bar of course. It was perfect for us. We had terrific cocktails and appetizers and shared a couple of main dishes. I dug the waitstaff's uniforms, the relaxed vibe, the beach view. And for people sitting with their back to beach, there was a mirror strip on the bar so you could see the beach! Welcoming. Unparalleled views! Nicer than many private clubs and WHAT A VIEW!! For clarity, we arrived without a reservation with the goal of eating in the dining room. We were told the wait for our party of 6 would be around an 50 mins. Hostess let us know we could try our luck by the pool which is what we ended up doing. For my taste that was better anyway. Did the causal dining not the fine-dining upstairs. Bring an ID if you want to enter or it's a hot-mess. Apparently this place is really good. However maybe it was just the day: but most of us didn't end up liking our food. I got a moscow mule: really bad, worst mule in my life and it didn't even taste like it and it wasn't even in copper cup.. They didn't have the dish I wanted which was duck (it was out), so we got other things instead. The mussels weren't bad at all, quite lovely. I ended up having fish and chip and it was just mediocre. I had to knock off one star because we ordered some appetizers and drinks, paid for those at the bar but they didn't notify us that they didn't have anymore wings until after waiting about 20 minutes for our food. A Belini, which is Prosecco and a shot of peach syrup, is the perfect bubbly for a late Sunday afternoon.
