Had just gotten home and closed the door when a loud noise occurred and my husband said it's the spring. Called the original door installer (loyalty) and got an appointment for 3 DAYS LATER!!! Since my husband's hand was in a cast and he had doctor appts during those 3 days, that was not acceptable. Looked around, found Bonds, called and less than an hour later the owner himself came out and repaired the spring, plus a couple of other problems he found during his inspection. Scheduled appointment for 8:30 and never arrived. I called at 9:00 and was told they were have a few problems and would arrive soon and would call when on their way. Never called back so I called at 12:30 and they never answered their phone, just got an answering service. I had to schedule with another business. These guys are great! I tried to close my garage door today and it just freaked out - the light started blinking and it wouldn't budge. We called them immediately and Berry and James came out within two hours to diagnose and fix the problem. Berry hit the button, and it worked great - seems certain times of the year (and day), the sun can blind the sensors and make it think there's something blocking the beam. I never would have figured that out. He also gave me tips on how to troubleshoot issues in the future - AND - he didn't even charge me for his sleuthing efforts. We highly recommend contacting Bonds Door Service, as Berry came out to replace the broken spring to our garage door today. We're long time residents of Y-S and have relied on another garage door repair business in Msvl., yet they're not available on the weekends. Our emergency message was left unanswered, as a second business neglected to return our Saturday afternoon call. However, we called BDS and Berry said he would be out today within the next 90 mins! We found Berry to be extremely honest/personable, highly professional, skilled/knowledgeable, and efficient. The final cost of this spring replacement was unbelievable, it was less than what we paid for 7 years ago from the Msvl. location. I called this business to get my garage door repaired and had to almost harass him to get him to come out he would say I'll be there and would never call or nothing. Finally got him there and he fixed it so now that I need to replace the opener I decided to give him another chance and I am currently waiting on a phone call back from him about maybe putting it in on the weekend. He was supposed to call yesterday afternoon after assuring me our "miscommunications" last time would not happen again and I'm still waiting for a call back. If you want someone who does what the say and you can count on I recommend not using this business. How you run a business like this is beyond me. I would have appreciated a call even if just to say he can't do it but that must be asking too much. Again I do not recommend this business.
