It was not worth it. The slices of meat were too thin. The regular tonkotsu x would have been good enough. The hanjuku egg was not worth the extra as well. Instead of paying extra for the meat and egg, order a bowl of rice. There is plenty of small chunks of chashu and would go well to eat together after the noodles are gone.

Open kitchen in back Service quick and efficient. After selecting ramen you can choose to customize noodle firmness and soup richness. Manager or owner was close but not hovering. Only ordered Tonkotsu ramen but there is a large selection of sushi, sashimi and other Japanese specialties. Soup order rich had a strong pork bone base and was served very hot as it should be. Noodles firm as ordered. Good proportion of toppings. Order combination with Gyoza ordered fried. Gyoza were the weak point. Not sure why but had large white areas. See photo. Interesting toppings at table included pickled ginger and peeled garlic cloves with a garlic press. Sesame shooter, shoyu and maybe an oil. Chopsticks were nice disposable. If not for Bao Bun, I would have given five stars. Tonkotsu (The OG) - No complaints. £14.80 feels cheap compared to Bao Buns two for £13.30. Noodles were good, soup had rich flavor from the broth, menma was crunchy, boiled egg was just cooked to perfection, there were even garlic cloves and garlic press at each table to use! I felt like I was in Japan. Payment at the table. Ask for check and one of the staffs will bring the credit card machine for payment.

We liked that it was an easy way to eat outdoors (which is what we tend to do while traveling) and that they had quite a bit to choose from. The stain glass window is also really gorgeous as you walk up and down the stairs. Looking for something different after enjoying traditional British fare for our first few days in London, we happened to be in SoHo and settled on ShoRyu, because we both love ramen. There's indoor and outdoor seating, and we opted to sit outside. We ordered the Piri Piri Tonkatsu and the Dracula Tonkotsu, and my wife also got herself an oolong tea. The prices were very reasonable (about £15-£16 per giant bowl of ramen), and the food came out very quickly. The broth was rich and full of flavor. I had the miso, very flavorful, chasu pork was perfect, just enough fat to be flavorful, very tender. Gyoza we're solid and the kimchee was very good. My son and I traded for a taste and next time I am going for the Menya Ramen, no spice. It was so savory, subtle, I wanted the bowl to be bottomless. Service was as prompt as possible for a Sunday afternoon after the museum. Line went fast. Thank you for the amazing meal.
