On 4/12/2022, I contacted Bonn Roof Care and requested a quote for moss removal on my tile roof. The quote was $1,245.00. The spring was a long wet spring, literally until July 2022, so we decided to wait. On 4/14/2023, I re-engaged the owners of Bonn Roof Care because they had been so quick to provide a quote the year prior. I requested an updated quote because I assumed there would be a price increase since it had been a year. Bailey Lloyd, of Bonn Roof Care, sent me an updated email with a quote for moss removal for $1,455.00. On 4/20/2023, I emailed the owner, Todd Lloyd, of Bonn Roof Care, and confirmed receipt of the updated quote from 4/14/2023 and asked about scheduling timeframe. I confirmed via email that I accepted the updated quoted price of $1,455.00. I was told scheduling would be a day or two at a time due to weather and would be added to the schedule and receive a call a day prior to service. I confirmed that any day would work for the service. On 4/21/2023, I received an email from owners of Bonn Roof Care confirming I would be added to the schedule for service. On 5/9/2023, I received an email from owners of Bonn Roof Care informing me that prices had increased "due to the steepness and style of your roof". The updated quote was $2,895.00. My roof steepness and style had not changed. This is a $1,440.00 INCREASE, which is a 98.9% increase in 12 business days after I accepted the revised quote from 4/14/2023 and accepted the quote on 4/20/2023 and was added to the schedule and confirmed by Bonn Roof Care owners on 4/21/2023. We inquired with owners of Bonn Roof Care and we're told that they would not honor the agreed upon quote and they refused to negotiate between the two prices. The owner, Todd Lloyd said that if we wanted the work completed we would have to pay the new price. The lack of ethics and customer service is shocking. read more

I didn't appreciate having mud splattered all over the siding. Would like to have known they were coming so I could have moved items on the deck that were in line with where they were spraying water on the roof (thought they would just blow off excess debris). Had to spend several hours cleaning up after them. The time the guy spent spraying water here, there, and everywhere would have been better spent cleaning up the moss on the ground instead of spraying/blowing it into the flower beds and lawn. read more

They were pretty clean and tidied up fairly well after themselves. Our job had to be scheduled fairly far out as they seemed pretty busy, but when they came they did a good job. Bonn Roof Care (Todd), replaced our roof at house sale. Claimed the inspectors were wrong about our roof needing better ventilation (when it fact it did after multiple prior consultations). I think he simply wanted the easy shingle replacement job rather than having to do the right thing. He complained about matching paint, claiming that it was a pain and inconvenient for him to match our paint, but he did reluctantly. Drove nails through our eaves and said he would touch them up and never did, but after multiple calls and back and forth instead left us with paint saying that it was our responsibility to fix it. Nails and shingle material were left on site for our kids and pets to step on which I had to clean up. He tried to justify his lazy work with a couple random standardized fixes that would have been done anyways by anyone else. Doesn't return calls and if he does it's weeks later. Don't recommend. Hire someone who is more honest and does the right thing for their clients. A year after the work I have asked around and heard similar complaints. read more

Bonn Roof Care did a phenomenal job cleaning our roof and gutters this spring. We have a challenging roof and we live in the woods, and after a couple of years of hiring a non-expert to clean our roof, we had a lot of moss and clogged gutters. Bonn Roof Care cleaned every inch of the roof and gutters, which was no easy feat. It looks like it's back to new. PLEASE DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH BONN ROOF CARE IN EUGENE. The owner, Todd, is dishonest and does not deserve your business. I contacted Bonn several months ago about cleaning my roof and treating the roof for moss. When the work was done, I handed the technician a $300 gift certificate that I had purchased from an auction. The next day, I received a call from Todd, telling me that my gift certificate had expired and I owed him $345, the full cost of cleaning and moss treatment. I explained that there was no expiration date on the certificate and state law specifically states that gift certificates with no expiration date do not expire. Todd continually raised his voice in our conversation and showed no respect for me, his customer. Although I owed him only $45, I agreed to pay the $45 difference plus $100 as a show of goodwill and he agreed to retreat my roof if the moss wasn't killed since his technician applied the treatment while it was raining and it is supposed to be applied to a dry surface that should remain dry for several hours afterwards. I called Todd and told him that there was still moss all over my roof and he told me to wait a few weeks and call him back. A month later, I called back and left several messages because he wasn't returning my calls. After approximately ten unanswered phone calls to Todd over a two month period, I finally received a return call last Friday. Todd left me a message telling me that I didn't hold up my end of the bargain, so he no longer wants to do business with me. Just had Todd (the owner?) hang up on me. He finally called me to schedule a roof repair and cleaning that we discussed on January 3rd. Yes, that's 16 days later. When I apologized and said I hadn't heard from him, so I offered my contracter the job, he rudely exclaimed "Well the phone lines go both ways!" and then hung up on me. My mom used Bonn Roof Care this past summer for a roof cleaning while I was visiting. Bonn Roof Care did a fine and very fast job cleaning and treating the roof on a Friday afternoon. My mom and I were very pleased. But the owner called and apologized for the short amount of time his crew spent at the house. Even though the job was completed to our satisfaction, it wasn't to his. The owner had his crew return a few days later to do a bit more detailed cleaning around the chimney and such. We were very impressed! Ben using Bonn for a few years now with excellent results. They dry brush which is what needs to be done as power washing is a no no for any kind of shingle. I had the roof cleaned and sprayed once and have yearly touch ups of cleaning and spraying. My roof is always moss free. I compared what I paid to three of my neighbors using someone else and Bonn's price was comparable. They clean, spray, and thoroughly sweep up all debris and then use a leaf blower to leave your property spotless of moss. read more

This company did my neighbor's roof and they did what appeared to do a good job. The neighbor had a real moss problem and they hand scraped and then treated the roof. I asked the tech if he could give me a bid, which was $345 for moss removal and another $250 to treat it. He called his boss while I was standing there and told him my roof was much loss mossy, to make me think he was giving me some kind of deal. It just didn't seem right and it seemed very expensive. So, I called the owner and asked if he could give me a better price. He said no. It sounds like they charge everyone $345 or more for moss removal, no matter what. I have used Bonn Roof Care several times over the last five years. I have had the moss removed from my roof twice, several years apart. The north side collects a lot of moss. Their prices are reasonable. They come at the appointed time and are quick and efficient. Today I had them add gutters and downspouts to a cottage built in my backyard. Horrible employer! Hi Todd, owner of Bonn Roof Care. My name is Deandra, we've met before. My husband, Brian Wynn worked for you until very recently. He was convinced when he started working for you that you are a family oriented person and that's the way you run your business. This does not seem true to any word. He worked hard for your company, protected your company when he fell from a roof, he tried so hard to give all he had to your company. As you know I'm pregnant, but I am struggling medically through this pregnancy and have not been working. So when you chose to strip my husband of the bonus' he earned working for you because he quit it hurt us horribly. Does that $100 bonus hurt you or your company so horribly in a financial stance that you would take from a family in need of what he worked for? You know he did those jobs, and now you know that the measly $100 to you is worth so much more to us and our family, our children. I've got a trail of complaints with this company going back 4 years to when they "repaired" the roof prior to my buying the house. As mentioned by another, they favor real-estate agents to make the sale, but not to do their job right. The 1st repair ended with a "real" roofer saying they butted the shingles edge to edge instead of over-lapping and the entire section they "fixed" had to be re-roofed. Next, the leaking chimney that was also supposed to have been fixed got more tar slapped on it after it kept leaking and only this year got repaired correctly with all new flashing and sealing by another company. I would have just written it off as buyer beware but after leaving a message last week where I wanted another leak they had worked on fixed correctly they never even called me back. The final straw with this company is that I actually received a mailer today from them asking for my business! :( read more
