The owner was terrible to me…read more My husband and I were vic of auto theft and we got a call at midnight from Redding Police saying they "recovered" my husbands stolen motorcycle and that because we live an hour away to do nothing they would have it towed and stored til morning for us. My husband was ecstatic! RPD gave us the case number and number to the tow yard to call in the morning being they weren't open at midnight to call and make arrangements to have the bike picked up. So the following morning at 7:30am I called the Tow yard and was told it was going to be $420 to pick up our Recovered Motorcycle. The lady wasn't willing to budge I called the police dept had them call her the best she would do for less than 12 hours of storage was $350. On a recovered motorcycl! that's two thefts now happening. the original man that stole our motorcycle and now the two company. we're a one income family. this wasn't our fault. this is insane to me. why are they allowed to do this to the victims? I've reached out to several local news stations and our local congress workers as well as the BBB this shouldn't be allowed to happen.
