Jose was amazing!! We were towing a car from paradise to San Jose almost a 200 mile trip and J&L was the only company who came through for us!! Two companies canceled our tow prior to them accepting it. We had our one year old with us and had been waiting from 10 am until 5 pm for someone to tow the car. Jose saw us frustrated with the situation but didn't take it personally and got us out of there as quickly as possible. I have very mixed reviews of JnL. first off Myles is amazing - he was our second tow truck. We have AAA and had a major blow out south of Redding on a Friday afternoon at 4pm it was 100 degrees On the side of 5N. in our Chevy Truck with. Trailer on it (so heavy load and 26 ft long) Our first driver (name unknown, no uniform, not wearing pants not ready to work hard) wanted nothing to do with us or helping. My boyfriend had to go under the truck look at spare, do everything and then he left us for an hr before Myles came with larger truck which still couldn't tow us but atleast Myles could help. He pumped up our tire took it off which other driver WOULD NOT EVEN ATTEMPT! Then knew how to take off spare with trailer (cut little plastic part to release spare) and put on spare. He then followed us with tire. It was 7 pm hot and he was amazing! Thank you so much to Myles. Employee of the year. To the rest of JNL - not sure. First tow guy horrible, woman on the phone dispatcher not great and thought we had a Chevy Camry and needed a tow. Thank god for a Myles we could still be sitting on the side of the road. read more

My car was towed after being rear ended. When we needed to pick up our belonging we apprehended that the car was parked in a car yard in Cottonwood ( 17 miles from Redding ). I expressed them that i expected the car to be in Redding since the tow driver assured me of that. J&L went an extra miles and sent one of their employees to collect our belongings , they calle dme whenthey were collecting and they deliver it to my business, I can not say more good words. Horrible service. tow truck driver refused to tow my vehicle because he was to afraid to touch the car. This resulted in a 9 hour ordeal of it being stuck. I even offered to help and he still refused because he didn't want to deal with moving a $90,000 dollar car and i quote " if i damage anything on it i would be liable so i called someone else there on the way". Ok fine. so after another hour, i start calling around and call his dispatch and find out he lied and called no one! UHH WTH! This is your JOB if you cant do it get another job. read more

Blowing out a tire on a utility trailer was not how I wanted to spend my 4th of July, especially at 10pm. After spending an hour trying to get some one to bring a tire out to us, we decided to just tow the thing. J&L was the only tow company that actually picked up. Not only were they much faster than their estimated time, the price was a lot cheaper than I was expecting for a holiday weekend.
