I don't know where to begin with this review. My expectations were completely exceeded by Lynzie and her team!! Planning a wedding during 2020 was not ideal at all. However, Lynzie was always so responsive and understanding throughout the changes we had to make. It took so much stress off our backs. Even the week before the wedding, we changed our timeline a bit and added some time to the day. While she was not available for our 2021 date, we had the absolute pleasure of working with Maria, G, and Randy. Together they were able to capture our wedding through photographs and video. We received the sneak peaks and the full gallery soo quickly! The photos left me completely speechless. I am so honored to have been able to have Bonphotage be apart of our day. These photos and videos will last us a lifetime and always remind us how perfect May 1, 2021 was. I would recommend Bonphotage 1000%!! And I will be planning on using them 5 or 10 years down the road for vow renewals :) read more

*Update April 2026* Changing to 1-star because it has come to my attention that she has sent me a Cease & Desist for commenting on true accurate events and using intimidation tactics to silence me. Update April 2026* Updating to 3-stars I originally gave Bonphotage a 5 star review immediately following booking and our engagement photo session. The things I said were true up and we were happy at first. In hindsight I should've provided an updated review sooner brides have one chance to get this right so they should be making decisions off of comprehensive reviews. The engagement photos were great at first glance but they came out so grainy that when I tried uploading them to Minted for our save the dates, they were flagged as low-res when we received the prints they still looked unclear and we ended up having to redo/reorder our save the dates. Lynzie insisted this level of grain was normal for film, but my photographer friend who I went to for advice disagreed (also I have eyes). At this point she also informed us that she was not able to shoot our wedding, but we ended up working it out and met Serena who reshot our engagement photos in digital and also shot our wedding whom we enjoyed working with. We were generally content with the wedding gallery, but the editing was inconsistent it looked like there was a preset/filter applied across the board, which she denied doing. There was some back and forth and she adjusted a few specific ones that I requested, but by this point I just didn't care anymore as I was just so over it as most brides are by the time their wedding is over. My husband and I received our photos from bonphotage yesterday and I couldn't wait to write a review. The photos are beautiful, there are SO many to choose from and they did such a great job capturing not only the formal photos but the candid shots as well. Not to mention, the quick turnaround time - it took only 3 1/2 weeks for them to send us our full online gallery! The pictures are beautiful but the people at bonphotage make the company special. Before the engagement photos, my husband and I were both a little apprehensive, we really didn't know what to expect, but Serena made us feel so comfortable right away. She instantly felt like a friend, rather than a business partner and it alleviated all our photo fears. The same goes for the wedding day. Serena was laidback and flexible but not to the detriment of her photos - she managed to stay cool, calm and collected while still running around, capturing all of the best shots. I've worked with Rachel, a Bonphotage photographer over the last year for a variety of occasions i.e. first birthday photo shoot (pre-birthday session and actual birthday celebration session) along with an impromptu valentines day photo shoot. Good photography was very important for our wedding. Wanted to ensure we would love these photos forever. It was the first vendor we booked after the venue. I was deciding between a few different options, but I'm so glad I went with Bonphotage. Lynzie did our engagement photos about a year before our wedding. It was great to get to work with her prior to the wedding and get used to being photographed. We loved the results and I knew I had made the right choice. I am subtracting two stars because quite honestly she didn't take shots of my mom and I on the day of my bridal shower. Isn't that photography 101, ask who is family and take shots of family? Had she been there on time, things may have been different. I get that there was traffic, but there is always traffic in Chicago. Also, I never received all my photos because her assistant deleted ALL of the photos where she said she had pictures of my mom and I. Eh. Just not at all what I expected. There are a lot of photographers in Chicago and for her pricing, I just expected more. Won't use again. Lynzie is a good choice when selecting my photographer for my Bridal Shower. I am so lucky to have had my fashion blogger friend use her for her Bridal Shower. She was courteous and really blended in with the crowd. I am not sure where to even begin singing praises for Bonphotage. We were fortunate enough to have both lead photographers, Lynzie and Serena, photograph our marathon wedding weekend. Overall, really enjoyed my experience working with Bonphotage. Our engagement and wedding photos are beautiful so my wife is happy. There are a few things worth noting that denote the 4 star rating: We actually didn't receive photos of some personal touches we added to our wedding day that, to be honest, I'm a little disappointed about. We had custom drink signs, custom koozies, hangover kits that I would have liked to receive photos of but we didn't. Maybe we should have specifically requested photos of these things but any custom items seem like a given to me to capture so I didn't think to. A recommendation I would make is to just order parent albums and your album yourself after the wedding. Lynzie makes the process super easy but if you are really particular about anything then I would definitely do this yourself. I was under the impression that we would more or less get to design the book ourselves but you pick the photos and the team decides where and how they are outlined in the book. This proved to be difficult when we had a mom that wasn't extremely happy with the initial proof and wanted to revamp it. I think our photographers and videographers (who we hired from a different company) butted heads a little which is understandable as they hadn't worked together before but I wish they would have tried to mask any irritation because in the end both need to do their job and the evident frustration only went to make me feel a little on edge. My wife also reviewed Bonphotage and gave them 5 stars so just different sides of the same coin. read more

I can only speak in terms of our contact with Lynzie and our engagement photos. At first we thought Lynzie would be an amazing choice to photograph our wedding in California. We went ahead and met with her to discuss our wedding and engagement photos. All was good! A few weeks later, after already having discussed our engagement photo date, Lynzie had changed the date a few times. One time because she was waiting on a new camera lens and the other time because she was going out of town. Another time was not her fault because we had terrible storms. No big deal, we were flexible. In the mean time I continued to be in contact with Lynzie about poses and locations and the fact we were bringing our dog. I had mentioned that out in the suburbs there were beautiful wildflowers in bloom and asked if we could take our pictures out there. She replied that she didn't have a car. Ok i get that but there is public transportation. It really should not be about her convenience but more about what her clients are looking for. After showing Lynzie and explaining the type of poses and scenery we would like she didn't want to deviate from her plan, which is where she pretty much takes all couples for engagement shots. I wasn't going to go against the locations she had chosen because we trusted her as a professional. However these locations just serve as convenience to Lynzie and are easy walking distance for her and may not always be what her couples are looking for. We also had to drive her around to the locations for our photo shoot. When we showed up Lynzie simply would show us a picture on her phone and tell us to "pose like that". And of the poses she showed us on her phone, none were the ones I had shared with her. I am sorry but this shows complete lack of creativity. We had numerous conversations as well about us bringing our dog with. When we showed up she seemed shocked at the fact we had our dog and even said, "oh you brought your dog?". None of the locations she chose were really dog friendly. I get the photos were mostly about my fiance and I, but still this was at the request of her clients. As time has gone by my fiance and I have noticed on her social media postings that she takes pretty much all couples to the same locations for their engagement sessions. And this is where we started to regret our decision. We liked some of the photos we had received but they look just like all of the other photos Lynzie takes of her couples. Overall I wasn't that impressed with her creativity and willingness to listen to her clients. I wanted a photographer who was willing to listen to their client and make their day special, and I don't think we would get this on our wedding day. So we decided to not have Lynzie photograph our wedding in the end. If you are looking for a photographer who really listens to what their clients want and shows great creativity and professionalism I suggest you look else where. So if I could give her less than 1 star I would. read more
