They had classics as well as newer releases. Until I read another review, I didn't realize these are all donated books! How amazing. Hardcovers are $6 and softcovers are $3; rare editions may be more but not much more. They aren't officially open on Sundays, but they have a box to pay for books you'd like to take home that day. They had a calendar full of local events they host. Plenty of outdoor seating too.

THREE FLOORS. There are THREE floors worth of books. They are organized by topic, by author, by color and into little private nooks that I absolutely adore. I was here for over an hour just browsing and filling up my basket, but I could've definitely stayed longer. Definitely my new happy place. The gentleman working was also so kind in checking in periodically and asking if I needed any assistance.

Well stocked and organized bookshop in Southern Pines off NW Broad St. We stopped in while walking…read morethrough town. The employees are welcoming and the shop is dog friendly! Many of the businesses in Southern Pines welcome dogs; however, it's not often I find a dog friendly bookshop. It was nice to walk through the shop with my dog and he liked all the extra attention. I quickly found the book I was looking for, unfortunately it was quite pricy. I'm usually fine paying more for things if sold by a local bookshop, but this was more than I planned to spend. Overall, a good place to check out while in Southern Pines.

They are located inside a giant warehouse so no heating or cooling. Parking was a bit tight (in the little section off to the right of the entrance) as it gets busier on a Saturday afternoon. But there is additional parking, just not as close to the entry. The selection is huge, especially the children's books. I do wish the adult books were more organized and categorized. But for cheap, used books I am willing to go on a treasure hunt! Will be back!

Though the shop is relatively small, it is not cramped inside and has a great selection. The majority of the store is a fiction section, arranged by author last name, which spans across most of the wall. They also have dedicated sections for several of my favorite topics, such as gender studies, nature, science, and local authors/interest. Each section is smaller than what you'd see in a big-box store, but it doesn't matter because they're perfectly curated -- I would read almost anything I've seen in this store. There is a cart of used books they've just gotten in, but most of the used books are actually shelved alongside the new books in their respective sections. I think this is an excellent use of space, and I like that I can just go look for what I want once, as opposed to searching for something in a used section and then having to search for the exact same thing in the new section if they didn't have it used. There is also a small selection of "last chance" used books at a greatly reduced price. Most, if not all, of the books I saw in this selection were only $2, and they were in great condition! The owner + staff are friendly, and I love their taste in books! If you are near Winston and like to read or know anyone who does, you HAVE to come here.
