Boombox has been my home for the past 5 years. Every time it has moved due to accommodating more people, I have moved with it. These coaches care a great deal and will always listen and modify any workouts if you have either existing ailments or if you are simply just starting out. Joining Boombox has been one of the best decisions I've made. After years and years of working out at a normal gym and never getting anywhere, my wife and I finally decided to give CrossFit a chance. We have seen nothing but great changes the last three months. Boombox has accommodated the covid restrictions and provide a safe environment to get in a workout. When we started we had no idea how to do half of the movements. Instead of getting frustrated or irritated, the coaches did what their title says, they coached us. They watched us and provided feedback on how to improve. Everybody there is encouraging and it is a great environment. We were offered a free workout and never looked back. After an almost two year hiatus I decided it was time to get back to crossfit. I thought about returning to my old box but the drive was no longer convenient. I needed some place close with knowledgeable, approachable coaches. After researching my options I decided on Boombox. Brit, the owner is knowledgeable, personable and approachable. Katie, the head coach, is also very knowledgeable, personable and approachable. The classes are challenging and addicting. They are also very scalable, so scalable in fact that they even helped get my 70 year old aunt back on her feet again and she no longer uses her walker. Boom box north is my home for working out! I have worked out at a lot of gyms including crossfit, orange theory, la fitness, boot camp...the list goes on. This place has been a wonderful experience. Class times are convenient. The community is really great and everyone is really nice. They make new members feel really welcome and the workouts can be scaled from beginning to advanced. Best gym I have ever joined!!! I highly 110% recommend if your new to cross fit and tired of going to your regular gym and bored, want to learn form or want to get strong & healthy-- come here! There are so many benefits to join, the environment is so supportive and not like your typical gym that can sometimes be intimidating. Everyone is so helpful and most of all Brittany (owner) is the best in giving you fundamental classes before starting and works with you on all levels. I like how the workouts are always scaled down vs advanced and you do get a 110% workout!! I've been learning how to lift weights correctly without hurting myself. There are many cross fit gyms in town, and if your unsure which one to join try a class and you will see how amazing and different it is. I am thankful I found this gym and love it is close to get to and very centrally located. In my book this pace is 10+ stars but can only rate to 5! read more

I joined Boombox North about a year ago. I was scared to death to walk through the doors the first time but I did so because it had been SO LONG since I had regularly worked out. I was approaching my 49th birthday and knew it was now or never. I choose CrossFit because everything can be scaled to one's ability. This is so true! Not only is everything modified, but I am also encouraged to push harder, especially past mental blocks (it's can be as hard mentally as it is physically). I'm now 50, stronger than I was a year ago, and love working out. I have stayed because of the supportive community and coaches. Truly as good as it gets! I am a stay at home housewife with 3 kids, out of shape and tired, I was always intimidated about going to CrossFit but have wanted to try it for a long time. I was so bored going to the regular cookie cutter gym and getting no results. I don't know what made me just go one day but I did and I am so glad I did! From the beginning, the owner Brit was welcoming, encouraging, professional with a strong focus on SAFETY and doing things the right way before adding weight. seems like a simple concept right but there are a lot of gyms out there that say they teach certain things but when it comes down to it they don't have the experience and clients are getting hurt, well not at Boombox! all the coaches are great! I have never felt better, with more energy and a better mood. I lost 15 pounds thanks to their coaching and motivation. They scale things to make it so you can do it. the other clients there are also great people, very friendly. Workouts can be modified to your fitness level and you get the right amount of encouragement along with proper technique.
