I just stopped in to kill time and ended up buying something I've wanted and didn't think I could wear! Heather was amazing and was enthusiastic to help me with anything I needed - from a color suggestion for a shirt for my overalls to showing me how to spin the jewelry display. I don't live very close so I'm not sure when I'll have the opportunity to shop there again but I'll be back!!! Thanks Heather for helping me find my "funky" vibe. read more

The owner is a thief when it comes to the consignment process. She took 4 items from me and told me she would be in touch after three months. After 4 months I got a check for one of the items and I called to say I would be picking up the other items that obviously did not sell. She informed that because it was after the agreed upon end of consignment period as well as the 5 days grace, she now owned the items! This timing was intentional on her part and I could not believe that she acquires stock this way. I don't remember ever dealing with someone so strategically unethical. She justified this behavior because we had a contract. If she had told me in the beginning that I should be the one to communicate with her at the end or that I should retrieve my things promptly or she would keep them, I would not have waited for her to be in touch. I usually write long detailed reviews but I'll Keep this short the owner doesn't deserve much of My time. It's a cute store I love shopping at antique shoppes. However the owner is terrible and rude she has no manners or class. I was shopping there with a friend and she kicked us out saying that my friend was "stealing" which she wasn't. ( believe me or not that's up To you to decide) I did talk to a previous employee she had called Naydene and she told me that the owner will Make up Lies and kick people out of her store if she simply does not like you, or if you are trying on a lot of garments (which my friend was doing)(I don't know how true this is but I'm just giving you what she said and my own as well as my friends shopping experience here) Overall like I said it's a very cute shoppe with a variety of clothing I'm not going to lie about this and I will give credit where it is do, and It's her store so it's up to her on how she wants to treat customers. I've been to really high end luxury places to shop at and they treat you better than this used clothing store with the owner who thinks she's the manager at a Louis Vuitton or a Chanel. read more

This is one of the most organized thrift stores I've been into! They had stuff organized by vintage, boho/gypsy, costumes, and many more. It was extremely clean and didn't smell, like some thrift stores do. The lady running the store was wonderful, extremely friendly and nice. This place has such an amazing selection of clothes, shoes, jewelry, bags and more, and has such has a welcoming environment too. The prices are definitely on the steeper side but most of the pieces are worth it. Not to mention the staff is AMAZING, so sweet and helpful, I can't recommend this place enough! read more

Boomerang is one of my favorite places in Los Alamos to go! It is unique, colorful, vibrant, fairly priced with a great selection! I have bought some of my very favorite pieces here! Unique and fun selection of clothes, jewelry, furniture, kitchen stuff, toys and so much more! What an interesting and colorful store! They have lots of great gift possibilities and the sales staff were very friendly. I think this is a fun addition to the Los Alamos area and plan to return often. I am retiring soon so I made a later appointment to bring in lots of business clothing to have reviewed for potential consignment. I was treated very nicely by the owner and she patiently explained to me what sells and what doesn't in our area and where I could go to consign items that won't sell here. Turns out fancy heels and Business Casual are kind of no bueno in Los Alamos! Although I brought in items for consignment, I found several things in the store that I loved and it was easier to just trade! I went home happy and planning to return soon! read more

This store is not customer friendly towards potential consigners. The owner advises her first time customers that she doesn't accept anything that wasn't originally purchased for at least $50 but she will gladly take your items in as donations. Then she doesn't take pants. No walk ins even though she was sitting outdoors eating her pizza and chatting with another person and the store was vacant of customers. She asked me not to hang my rejects up as she went through my clothes and told me I could just hold onto them. She rushed me out the door with a few items that had been in mothball storage and then proceeded to tell me that all of the clothes had that smell and needed to be laundered or go to the cleaners. I gather that the few items that had been in storage caused a slight out-gassing and may have given my other items a practically non- detectable smell unless you are a blood hound. When I came back to pick up unsold items I was told that I had to hunt for my own items. Not very organized either. Overall, doing business with this woman was a major insult and I would NOT recommend her as a customer friendly business. Her store is not well organized and most of the clothing looks like donations. Bypass her and just drive your items down to Santa Fe. read more

What a great addition to our little town! Boomerang has something for everyone - kitchen items to clothing and everything in between. I've purchased items here and also Consigned items. I found the process easy and straightforward. Yes, there are "rules" for consigning items which are necessary and make sense. Every consignment store has guidelines based on what sells and the owners experience. I found this extremely helpful and had success selling many items. The owner is friendly and helpful. It's evident she works hard to get a variety of items in Boomerang. If you haven't been in yet, stop by and check it out. read more

I am an avid shopper of consignment stores in any town I visit. We moved here from Colorado to find a smaller place to live, so I brought furniture and household items to sell at Boomerang. I did have to wait two weeks for an appointment, but I did end up selling many things so it was worth it. Boomerang is bigger than it looks, and chock full of treasures! Gorgeous jewelry, lots of books, clothes, furniture, knick knacks, basically anything you want you can find. The customer service is great and they are supportive of local animal rescue- occasionally will have a store kitty for adoption :) The owner is so passionate about her store which just adds the perfect topping to this great store. read more

Boomerang is such a "wonderful" little shop. With the continuous change in inventory; it's an adventure, "every time"! The staff is so fun and friendly. They don't pressure you to buy anything... and always thank you for just coming in, and looking around. You can try on the clothing; the hats, the jewelry... they'll give you an honest critic of the look, as well. Inevitably; I "always" find something to purchase. They're "always" very knowledgeable and fair in their assessment of trade and consignment items, as well. I'm so grateful to have this delightful little shop here in our town!
