This is how you get a 5 star review. Offer awesome coffee and food and serve it up with awesome service. Stopped in while I was nearby and went with a classic drip brewed coffee and one of their frittata sandwiches. They offered different brew strengths which was cool that I had the option and not forced into one. I went with the light roasted brew with some almond milk and vanilla syrup. Their light roast is exactly that, light roast. The coffee tasted great and had hints of flavor I've never really tasted in other commercial light roasts. I also ordered their frittata sandwich on rosemary focaccia. This is definitely something you wouldn't expect to find in your average cafe! The sandwich was hot and definitely made that day. The frittata had chopped up bits of bacon and cheddar throughout and paired well with the rosemary focaccia. They definitely thought out of the box with that one. What sets this place apart from the others is that they serve you with a smile. From the moment you order to the when your food is handed of the customer service here is top notch. Amazing coffee! You can really taste the hint of fruitiness in each of the blends. I love buying a bag to roast at home, always fresh. The cold brew is very strong, so a dash of milk may be needed (even for us black drinkers). A clean café interior with bathrooms and quick service. Full parking lot on premises. read more

The service was great. Place was clean. But a Soso Dirty Chai Tea with oat milk and a (heavy) plain croissant cost me $16. I'll have to pass this place back to coffee drinkers. Not a coffee drinker so I can't say to that. read more

I feel the beans they used are a little to bitter for my liking and lacks the flavor that I enjoy. It's straight up great coffee. When you go to order you going to see from left to right (light to dark) of each coffee with the left being the weakest and the right being the strongest. The baristas are super knowledgeable and are happy to answer any questions regarding how they process the beans to how they brew their coffee. After you order your cup of coffee if you want to try another pour over, it is a dollar for the extra $1. However if you want to cold brew after you purchased a hot coffee, It would cost you $1.50. The cold brew uses Ethiopian and Brazilian coffee beans. You can ask for original almond milk. It's excellent and you don't need to add sugar. It's a welcome addition to this beauty community. This was my first time here Made the drive from my new office in Long Branch based on the reviews. The coffee is excellent I opted for the medium roast black, you can tell how fresh the beans are. They have a walk up window; inside is currently closed and it is hard to find, not visible from the street , there is a sign in the private parking lot. The service very friendly and professional. I will definitely be back. The prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend this place. read more

A bit difficult to find, as they are located towards the back. There is a parking lot, but I ended up parking on the street, which was free. The wifi didn't work at the time, and the people working didn't really know what to do so that was a bit of a bummer. I wish they didn't close so early though. read more

My new favorite coffee spot. I was going to Rooks in Long Branch, but this place blows it away. James really knows coffee, and is willing to discuss each coffee in great detail. They roast beans a few times a week and have several different varieties. If you are not looking for this place, you would never know its there. It's hidden in a small shopping mall. There are a few signs on the outside of the mall pointing you to the place, but its not obvious where it is. They serve single drip coffees, as well as espresso drinks and brewed varieties. My favorite so far is Bottle Rocket. You can also purchase the coffees in bulk. read more

I have been enjoying Booskerdoo coffee for about 6 months. It is by far the best flavored coffee having found on the east coast. I am writing this review because there are some service issues at Booskerdoo, and I want to help this fledgling business. First of all, it can take a long time to get a cup of coffee from the servers. Too often I find the barista jumping back and forth between making coffee, taking orders, and operating the cash register. This has caused lengthy delays in delivering coffee or mistakes with the order. For example, today we ordered two lattes. The first was screwed up and had to be done again. This was because the barista would start the coffee and then get interrupted to ring up customers. We received the second latte after waiting approximately 20 minutes (which made me late for work), and when it finally arrived it was warm; not hot. Booskerdoo, if you would like to improve your net income; let the barista be a barista! Have someone else take orders; refill the coffee canisters, and take payments. This is basic coffee shop management. Also, don't be fooled by the muffins. The names sound great and they look good, but they are fairly tasteless, and dry. The chocolate cinnamon was dry, had few chocolate chips, and absolutely no hit of cinnamon. My wife had the blueberry and it was fairly void of blueberries and was also dry. Often I just eat the muffin tops, and both muffins stopped me in my tracks. I have not tried the other treats so hopefully they are great. Booskerdoo, you may want to try some other muffin suppliers. If you want great coffee and you are not in a hurry, Booskerdoo will provide a great cup of coffee (and they will fix any mistakes). If you don't have 15 or 20 minutes to wait for mixed up service priorities; you may have to search a cup of Joe elsewhere. Management, if you fix the situation I will gladly update my review. read more

Seven years since my first review of Booskerdoo in Monmouth Beach and if anything, they've gotten better. Sierra and her crew do an amazing job. I love everything I've ever eaten there from the granola to the cookies, apple pie and bars. I don't drink coffee but I get a large green iced tea several times a week. Good Job! read more

I hate to say it but I was disappointed with my first visit to Booskerdoo today. After reading all the 5 star reviews and being a loyal Rook Coffee Roasters customer I was expecting more. The shop itself is adorable and they too roast their beans on the premises. The staff are truly dolls; super nice. The sample of peanut butter cookies we tried was awesome. The coffee itself just didn't "wow" me. I opted for a pumpkin latte and the bf went for the bottle rocket. The latte tasted almost burnt and the bottle rocket IMHO wasn't anything 5 star worthy. Gonna give them another shot and hopefully add another star. read more

Great coffee and great service. Everyone was very friendly and open to tell about their coffee beans. From how they were roasted to how to get beans shipped internationally. With international shipping the beans are not roasted till the very second they are shipped, so that they keep as much of their flavor as possible. Was especially a fan of the Bali Blue Moon beans and ended up buying a bag. Pricy but worth it! read more

As an admitted "coffee snob", I have been making the 25 minute drive to get here regularly, since December of 2012. This is the flagship location of their three Monmouth County shops and they roast their own beans here. All that I've purchased have been rich and delicious, never burnt (Dancing Goat Espresso remains my favourite). The staff is always friendly and they collectively handle the morning rush(es) very efficiently. On the off chance they goof making your drink, all you have to do is ask, they will remake it without hesitation. The pour-over espresso process and their own roasting makes their cup the best I've found in New Jersey. The owner knows exactly what he is doing. read more

I love Booskerdoo! I've only ordered lattes so far but thoroughly enjoyed them. I like that they put a lot of espresso in the drinks. At Starbucks you only get 1 shot in a 12 oz. latte, so it's very milky. At Booskerdoo you get 3 shots in a 12 oz. Zing! Just be prepared that you'll get a kick in the butt. I've had a breakfast sandwich and it was yummy but a little too greasy for me. Recently tried the blueberry muffin and it was amazing! Very moist and not too sweet. Decently sized too so it filled me up. It makes me happy to know that the owners roast their own beans and bake their own goods. As a recent NYC transplant, I have driven all over Monmouth County (and beyond) to find the best, most reliable coffee...but lucky for me, Booskerdoo is just one mile away from home. They have the most delicious, fresh roasted coffee (I especially like their original blends like Black & Tan), and knowledgeable, easy-going baristas. And although they are truly serious about coffee roasting, taste and quality--there is no attitude here--just good coffee. I consider it an added bonus that it is a cozy hang out--whether you are working, meeting a friend, needing a quick caffeine fix, or treating your daughter (or yourself) to the fresh squeezed lemonade and home-made baked treats. read more

I have to put this out first. I am a coffee snob. I live a very short walk away from another coffee supplier from Seattle, one that sells donuts and a bagel shop with decent brew. I drive 10 miles or so to get my beans from Boskerdoo. Its about as good as I have had. My current go-to is Costa Rica, but the others are awesome as well. Absolutely DELICIOUS coffee. Dairy-free options are available as well! They have baked goods here, but the first time I bought a muffin from them there were some strands of hair in it which definitely put me off! Their macchiato is fantastic and has a chocolatey note to it. The chai latte is great as well. However, the customer service here is very lacking and it is so unfortunate because the ambience and coffee are great! read more
