Optimum has terrible, awful service for their cable and internet. Over the past two years, my…read morefather's cable box went out totally, leaving him without service. Apparently the cable boxes are quite cheap and shoddy. We had to bring it in to this store for a replacement, and waited in a line nearly out the door, having arrived ten minutes after opening. When I asked why the line is so long and the service is so slow, I was told the computers were out. This is the exact same excuse I was given two years prior when I encountered a long line. Are they making it up? What is going on Optimum?

As a new customer I received my equipment on 6/25 and set it up using the self set up link…read more Internet wasn't working so I called and had my reboot and they reset the gateway. They tell me tech can't come til 7/6. Then get text saying they may be able to resolve issue over phone and schedule phone call for the next morning. They call and put my internet line for cust. service after a 7 minute wait I have to tell them I have a scheduled call and they do the exact same thing as before and make an update apt. for tech. to come but "no slot" until 7/4 @ 11. Then I get a text saying I have apt scheduled 7/3 @11. The next morning after running a new coax wire straight from modem to the box outside we went look at the pole and seen the wire wasn't screwed in on the pole. So I called and told them if one of the techs could just come screw in the wire I'm sure it would work like that until they could come put an outlet. They told me all the techs were working on a outage across town (very sm town). I told him it wouldn't take 5 minutes to come screw it in and get bk to his crew. But he said he could not do that and canceled my apt and made a new one for same day @ 8am-11am. This is for a "NEW" customer. Needless to say I'm looking into other companies.

The over seas non English understanding rude obnoxious outsourcing you guys have is the worst! Pineville do better because what you have is a company that refused an elderly man and a deaf woman their special needs phone because he said they don't do that anymore. That's discrimination! And the carpet the tech ruined not to mention the glue the drilling and mess he left saying he'd return tomorrow then on the way out the door he says Oh yeah I'm off tomorrow I can't come back for another week. Disgusting and sickening the elderly and special needs recieved dishonest and cruel treatment from Optimum and its employees that is being reported to several government and state officials.
