I am VERY happy to say that even after 20+ years, after coming back to get their High Speed Fiber. I had 1GB at first. I upgraded to the 2GB because of the awesome price. Once I decided to take the leap, it was super easy. I contact them, they helped move my connection from my existing cable provider no problem. I also enrolled in their phone service they recommended. Super painless port over process. Call quality has never had an issue. It took a couple weeks to get it installed which is more on the Local Fiber company and their schedule since it is contracted out for that work. So about a 2 week installation time. ( This was when it was barley available in my area ). Their Service: I was surprised to contact their support and recognize the names of the people I was talking to that had been there over 20 years ago. This is why I went back to them. Xmission seems to take great care of it's employees and it is greatly reflected in customer service. All questions I have ever had they are super educated on and can either speak the "Tech Talk" or make it more dumbed down to help less tech savvy people. Speed: At first I got the 1GB Connection - Tested 980/980 on Speedtest, can't say I could ask for more. Then when available I got the 2GB line. Tested PERFECT to spec. Had NO issues. Just make sure you have the hardware to not be limited by their speeds whether that is your Router or or Computer hardware. All over I can give them a very very strong recommendation for people.

He gave great advice regarding modems and routers and how to get started. I rented eero devices from UBB for a couple months, then bought my own when there was a good sale. It was no trouble at all to return their equipment - they came and picked it up. The service has been really fantastic. The speeds are more than we need, and I have a few dozen devices between our phones, tablets, laptops, a home computer, and a collection of smart home devices and cameras. I work from home about 80% of the time and I have no complaints!

Coming from cable…read moretv and the TiVo experience I thought that Dish and the Hopper would really shine but the Hopper can not really do anything on it own and it's very unstable and the user interface is like a TiVo ist generation. It needs a wireless extender plugged into it to talk to it wireless "Joey" (the hopper equivalent of a TiVo Mini) and it needs a streaming device plugged into as well to achieve it complete streaming experience. This should all be part of the DVR (Hopper). One unit not 3 separate units. It would be a good idea for Dish engineers to sit down with a TiVo edge and get familiar with the user interface. It is generations ahead of Hopper. The Hopper could easily surpass the Edge in capabilities if the engineers actually stepped it up a notch. Now for the stability issues. The Hopper does not handle the tasks it is already tasked to do without locking up, temporary software freezes, and blank screens. When you talk to support it always power down power up. This doesn't do anything but waste your time. Now I like Dish service so far because what they offer is fairly priced and the features are awesome but they need to step up the quality of the product and it functionality. C'mon Dish!! Act like you want to be relevant now and in the future. It is not enough to just make a sale. You want a repeat customer who be so happy with your service that they become a Frontline sale rep to the people they come in contact with. You are not selling one contract to a single customer but rather to a potential pyramid of customers.
