Then this weekend, the screen started to appear "jerky" and the iPad was pretty much useless. We called a couple places open on Sunday that wanted over $200 for a new screen. I thought we should get a new iPad, rather than spend $200 to replace another screen on an outdated model. But we took it by the shop on Tuesday when they were open during the week. The tech had it working like new within 5 minutes, at no charge, and we didn't even have the receipt from the first repair. (I'm sure they could have looked it up if they thought we were dishonest). Anyway, really appreciate the immediate attention when I stopped by and quick fix.

The worker here knew what it was right away, ordered the battery, let me know when to expect it, and texted me as soon as I came in (less than 2 days later). He then replaced it in 15 minutes and assured me the rest of the phone was in good condition. He was very polite and knowledgeable throughout, and the battery came with a 1-month warranty. While the first technician was repairing the charging port, he asked whether I also wanted to replace the battery because he said it was not in good condition. He explained that since the phone was already open, he could replace the battery for less than the normal price. I agreed. After he finished, I checked the battery settings and the battery performance was still showing 65%, the same as before the replacement. I asked him about this, and he told me that it would improve to 100% within 24 hours. He also told me that if it did not improve, I should bring the phone back within two days and they would replace it again. Unfortunately, the battery continued to perform the same way after the repair. I wasn't able to return immediately because of personal circumstances, so I went back about a week later. There was a different technician working that day. I explained what had happened and told him what the first technician had told me about returning if the battery did not improve. The second technician told me that he was not as experienced or trained as the first technician and did not want to open the phone to work on the battery. I left without the battery issue being resolved. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this store for phone repair. I paid to have the battery replaced, but the battery performance remained at 65%, and when I returned to have the issue addressed, it was not resolved. I am also pursuing the matter through the appropriate channels regarding the charge.

Found this place by Google Map search and/or Yelp as I didn't want to take my phone to Verizon (why…read moreI'm not sure now). A couple months later, fairly sure that wasn't the better decision. To be fair, I messed up my HTC10 somehow; I think moderately wet hands cause my screen to start not registering touches in vertical bar patterns. After dealing with this for a few months and it not getting any better, I thought maybe just the screen needed to be replaced. Again, to be fair it's possible more needed to be replaced. So I went in and asked about a screen replacement and noted my general problem. I was more led down the line of how much my phone was still worth almost as if to say if I wanted to sell it, though ultimately noting that it was worth repairing. I put down the first half of the cost and came back a couple days later after the part was ordered online from a random supplier of phone parts. An hour or so later I came back with my phone all put back together, paid the rest of the cost and went on my way. Over the next day or so the "new" screen started to have some dead spots and continually got worse over the next few months until now where it's pretty much useless. Again, it's possible something else in the screen was damaged and a new screen just put a band-aid on it. However, I don't believe it was well repaired as over the last couple of months when a spot or section went bad, some good jiggling or tapping of the phone would get it working again. As well, even from the start, the "home" button in the bottom center was not well placed back in and was offset from where it should be. Also noticed I was fairly easily able to slide in a business card or thin paper between the screen and metal body to try to reseat the "home" button. So, the repair didn't come back looking like new and to me wasn't a good quality repair. It might be more of my issue, but I struggled to stop by this place with the way the hours are set and ran out of my 14 days from repair to take it back in at no cost (at least according to the receipt). I called once in there and left a message only to never have it returned, I could have been more persistent, but I don't have time for that. I only give a 2nd star here as at least the work is done in house and with decent looking equipment. Maybe it was just that I had an off phone (I think HTC10s aren't too popular) so if you've got an iPhone or an easier repair it'll work for you. But for me, it didn't work and I don't think the quality of the work was very good.
