He messaged me back within minutes. Yes we have a store front and we are located behind Red Lobster. I didn't make it by there that day. 2 days later I pulled up at about 5:20, they are open until 6 so I figured it wouldn't be a problem (I just wanted some pics for Yelp!). As I was walking out someone walked up to the door and locked it! I look at my watch, in the morning at you do so the other person knows you're questioning the time. It was 20 to 6 and she just shook her head at me. I'm sorry but I have 15 years in retail management and I don't care if it's CVS, Aeropostale, the gas station or the thrift shop, you don't early. I get that some days are slow and having staff there is eating up your profits so change the store hours and make sure you inform social media sites, the business website, etc. people plan on these things even when they've on got 20 mins. I'll come back with an open mind later this week. And it'll prob be 10 mins before closing just to see if they close early again.

They deserve four, maybe even five, stars for filling a need and doing it with expert and friendly service. Granted, their selection is nowhere near what a Dick's or Sports Authority can offer, but that's fine. With Hibbett Sports just across the street they know they don't need to focus on running or basketball shoes, but they fill in team sports that no one else in Lake City does, and Lake City is very much a sports town, and very much needs the level of service Brian's offers.

I made the decision to drive from Live Oak down to Gainesville to purchase a Kimber 2k11 9mm…read morepistol. It's not a cheap weapon and is advertised to have a high performance trigger as it is a target model. Lawfuldefense had one in stock and I like to support local business versus order online. Everything was great until I brought the weapon home and fired it. There are problems with the trigger, bad enough to where I did not feel safe with the gun. I called the store and was told to bring it back in and we could work out store credit or something. I told them I could not ship the gun and have it shipped back because I am in the process of moving out of state. I don't have an address that's any good right now. I drove back down and brought the gun in and was then told that they could not do any sort of refund, I would have to have them send it back to Kimber and they would return it to me wherever I was, it did not matter that I didn't have an address. I was also told I would not need to return to that store, but I did not trust that process. I bought a defective item from a retailer and I expected them to handle the problems that came from the factory not me. That's the whole point of going to a local brick and mortar is the support. We argued quite a bit, I questioned why I was told one thing on the phone and another thing in person, and I ended up leaving with my new expensive paperweight. I drove a ways down the road and decided to go back and just give up the gun. I brought it back into the store again and told them go ahead and ship it back to Kimber and I'll worry about where I am and how to get it later, it's better than just losing 2,300. At this point, the story had changed and I was told that I had to physically come back to that store to retrieve the weapon after an unspecified time it would take Kimber to fix it. I finally got to talk to somebody different, the nice confused man who had been helping me all along went and got the boss. The boss ended up doing a refund, but charged me 10%. So bottom line is I drove 4 hours to pay them a $200 restock fee on a defective product. I don't call that good customer support at all.

Sales person was extremely rude. I had called Audio Waves but no one answered, so I decided to just…read morevisit. It was 4:23 PM. The sign on the door said opens at 9:00 but did not have a closing time, so I assumed they were open until 5:00. The open sign was lit, the door was unlocked and there was a man sitting at the counter inside. I went in and asked about replacing stereos in 2 different vehicles. He was really rude and talked to me like I was interrupting his day, although he was doing nothing. After I told him what I needed, he said "well we do close at 4:00". I apologized and said I was sorry I did not see that anywhere. He replied "Well what were you doing all day, to come in here now?" in a very rude voice. I WAS WORKING, jerk. He finally gave me an estimate for the screen replacement for the Jeep. I then specifically asked about how much for the part itself and the installation, and he just said "I don't know." I apologized for wasting his time and left. I will not be back. Evidently he did not want my business.
