Also the hours are a lot different than those mass retailer stores as well. But you have to remember that you are in the heart of a tiny town called Naples. So, this is what you get. Upon entry you are greeted with a large moose head hanging on the right, and the register right in front of you. There is a bright red sign that says, "Welcome to your neighborhood do it yourself center". I stood there for a bit until a man behind the counter asked if I needed help. I declined as I was snapping photos and then off to join my father-in-law pick out some nails for some flooring. A nice woman there let us open the package and test them in a transition strip to make sure they were the right size. I thought that was a nice personal touch and overall great customer service. They have a private parking lot, but you have to be careful pulling out. Traffic coming from the left can often move fast. Also, this place is next store to Joseph's Wayside Market so on weekend I suspect a lot of their customer park here.

Everyone, from Kurt, the Manager , to Morgan the delivery person, aim to please. I've struggled with coordinating the delivery times with folks from the Big Box stores but never at Wilcox. I ask them to deliver at a certain time and place and the material is always on site as requested. Kurt has been very helpful with pricing and the quality of the materials is excellent. They stock a lot more than just lumber!!! They have a great deal of tools, fixings for plumbing, electrics etc etc Which makes them a hardware store also. I find the lumber there better quality than the large chain stores, it's a lot straighter, and actually a lot of the time they are the same price. Sometimes a little higher but I live close to them so still save money when you factor the fuel costs driving down to Ithaca. They sell decent deck boards and a lot of high quality interior and exterior wood. I am very very happy with Stover and will continue to go there for most of my project supplies.
