I am sad to see the bad reviews for Boozer Eye Care. Dr. Spencer has been great for the many years that I have used him as my eye care provider. He organized replacement lenses for me through an ophthalmologist in Birmingham. Dr. Bryan Boozer is good. Boozer Eyecare Associates has apparently declined in the last couple of years. Communication with patients has become very poor and confusing. Waiting room times have increased. Glasses; frames and lens, have always been expensive at Boozer Eyecare but seem even more so! Wait times to see a glasses technician can be long and waiting for eyewear may take several days. Boozer Eye Associates has the aggravating aspects as described above but the lack of respect for patients at the insurance and payment desks is the poorest aspect of the group for myself and other patients I've talked to. I will be using a different eyecare group in the future. read more

Most unfriendly , unhelpful people I have experienced. Dr was good but staff was plain awful! No respect for your time! And there is actually over a two week wait to get glasses. WHY? No reason! IF you are in need for immediate help in eyewear, I would suggest another eye company. Also, no one answer the phone and no one returns messages. read more

I have no issue w the Dr. My issues are with the staff. Will not answer the phone, will not call you back , automated text comes to you when they don't answer which they will not respond to.I've been trying to get a call back for 2 weeks. don't do it, no money back! with only replace the glasses. and will not step up appointment, and replacing the glass's. this is now her 4th exam and 5 sets of glasses had to wait a week for the exam again!! they get the money and don't give a flip about the client!!! maybe expedite the process because they screwed up not my wife! Waited 30 min. for my 9:10 appointment. 3 people who arrived after me were taken back. No one told me there would be a delay. When I went to the desk to tell them I was leaving, the lady went back to check. She said I was next in line. Did not know how much longer it would be. I left and will not go back! read more

So many reasons to not recommend this place. Don't normally leave bad reviews, but with this place, I really advise all to go elsewhere.

I had an annual eye exam with Dr. Spencer Boozer and only have wonderful things to say of him and his practice! Making the appointment was so easy, I called and spoke with a friendly receptionist who was so patient taking all of my info and was able to get me an appointment just two days after my call for a non-emergent visit. I also noticed there was an option to book appointments online which is also helpful. Their location is easy to find with plenty of parking. I was seen promptly when I arrived and had no wait for neither a tech doing initial work up nor the optometrist. The office is incredibly clean and spacious with up to date equipment and furnishings. Dr. Spencer Boozer is so knowledgeable and explained everything thoroughly during my visit and sent me with several contact lens samples to try out before committing to ordering any one particular brand (which they will ship free to my home, so that's one less errand to have to run!). There was no pressure to purchase glasses or contacts, but Dr. Boozer did inform time that they are happy to price match from any reputable source for contacts and they did have a great deal going for sunglasses. Checkout was a breeze with no surprise costs or fees. (I opted for the $32 option of skipping the traditional dilation in favor of the optomap retinal scan and it was worth. every. penny.) Overall, I felt like my time was well respected and that I received the attention I needed to my eye care. I look forward to my next visit! read more

Dr. Boozer and Dr Spencer have been great helping me get fitted with contacts after having RK surgery in 1997. I can't Thanks them both enough for helping me see again and not having to wear glasses. The staff are so friendly and helpful. I highly commend them. read more

Our entire family uses Boozer Eyecare. Love the Drs and Staff, very thorough, professional, and friendly. Our Son is only 15 & has major vision issues and we couldn't be more pleased with the Drs at Boozer's treatment and recommendation to Specialist in Bham to further treatment. Happy to report all went well and can con't wi reg exams from Boozer. He's getting to try contact lens again that are spec made for his condition and we are very excited and hopeful for a good outcome. Love the way Boozer goes the extra mile with each patient. There is 5 of us in our family who all have vision issues and wouldn't trust anyone but Boozer for our treatment. Blessed to have them. read more

Find another place! My son was ill the day of his appointment so I had to re-schedule. The earliest I could get an appt was 6 months later! Fast forward 6 months...the day before his appt, I got three messages reminding me of the appt. on my phone. I work and got them when I got home. The next day, I took off work, checked my son out of school and arrived a few minutes before his appointment. I was informed that his appointment was cancelled because I didn't confirm the day before! First of all, by the time I got the messages they were closed. Secondly, none of the messages said his appointment would be cancelled if we didn't confirm. Very unhappy! I was able to get him an appointment with another eye doctor for the next week. Do NOT use Boozer Eye Care....they do not care about their patients! Myself and 2 children have used them for several years and they have become increasingly difficult to see...even when I had an emergency a year ago I had to use find another doctor as they couldn't get me in! read more
