We started our night at the Uralli and what a classy start it was. My group weren't cigar smokers but that didn't much matter, it really wasn't that smoky at all. We grabbed a table near the classy bar and had immediate service. The gal working the bar asked what I wanted and I wanted to start slow but at a bar like this, I got a scotch. The scene was chill with a couple other tables enjoyign the vibes in slow motion as well. We only stayed for a couple drinks before we moved on, but this s a great spot to start your night, or make it your night.

Extremely Disappointing and Unwelcoming Experience…read more My friend and I went to Did It My Way Wine & Cigar Bar so he could enjoy a cigar and an Old Fashioned while we watched the remainder of the Lions game. Before going, we checked the posted hours--Google showed they were open until 11:30 p.m., and Apple showed midnight. From the moment we walked in, however, we felt completely unwelcome. We were immediately greeted with attitude and told that they were closing early at 11:00 p.m. and that the lounge was closed. We politely responded that it was fine and had no issue with the early closing. My friend ordered an Old Fashioned, and I only had water. After placing his drink in front of him, the bartender never came back to check on us. She never asked if my friend wanted another drink, never refilled my water, and essentially provided no service beyond taking the initial order. What made the experience even more uncomfortable was that several people came in after us, yet we did not observe them receiving the same attitude that we were receiving. Then, at 10:36 p.m., the bartender brought us our bill--even though she had told us they were closing at 11:00. We respectfully paid it without arguing or complaining. We later realized that our check had been entered as a party of two and gratuity was already included, despite the fact that I had not ordered anything. The included gratuity was not pointed out to us (except on the bill for 2 or more), and as a result, we unknowingly tipped a second time. That was especially frustrating considering the level of service--or lack thereof--that we received. Toward the very end of the Lions game, with literally only seconds remaining, the bartender attempted to turn the game off. I said, "Come on, there are only a few seconds left." She ultimately left it on, but proceeded to scold me again about the fact that she was closing. There were still other patrons inside enjoying their drinks, so I genuinely do not understand what harm there was in allowing us to watch the final few seconds of the game. It was even more frustrating considering anyone walking through the door that evening would have reasonably expected the business to be open according to the hours publicly listed online. I am normally very understanding when someone seems to be having a bad day. You never know what another person may be going through, and I will usually overlook someone's attitude if the service itself is decent. But this went far beyond that. We were polite. We accepted the early closing without complaint. We ordered, paid our bill when it was presented to us, and caused absolutely no problems. Yet from the moment we arrived, we felt as though we were being rushed out and treated like an inconvenience. I have honestly never felt so disrespected or unwelcome by a bartender--especially one who barely checked on us in the first place. We came in expecting to relax, enjoy a cigar and a drink, and finish watching the Lions game. Instead, we left feeling like our business was not wanted. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not return.
