Sooooo glad I use them! When I first bought my house 20 years ago I had to figure out how to be the owner of a septic system. The first time I had the tank pumped I used another company that sold/pushed a 'maintenance system' solution I should buy and warned about serious repairs I was likely to need. The next pump out I used Borger's and heard none of this... just a few honest tips, so I continued to use them. Now, after 20 years, I had the system back up. I had delayed getting it pumped and the tank was almost completely full, but the problem was actually a sagging pipe that leads to the tank. This happened at 3:30 on a snowy Saturday afternoon. I found the sewage backing up spilling onto my basement floor (YUK!), I started mopping it up, and called Borger's. Astonishingly the guys were there with a pumper truck and to clear the blockage within 1/2 an hour! On a bitter cold Saturday! When it was snowing and the roads were becoming unsafe!!! They showed me exactly what had happened, pumped the tank, cleared the blockage, and honestly said this may never happen again, or it might, but I could take my time and if I wanted they could replace the underground pipe for a completely fair price. No scare tactics, no inflated bill, no treating me like an idiot!!! I had spent the first half of that day shopping for used cars and my faith in honesty in business was at a real low. I have never written a yelp review before and went out of my way to give my highest recommendation for JR Borger. My husband and I ran into some really unfortunate and unexpected issues with our septic system after we bought our house in Tobyhanna. After trying multiple other local septic companies who were misleading, wildly overpriced, didn't answer our questions, didn't show up to our house, didn't produce reports, etc., we were recommended to this company on a Facebook group. Not only was Jody and his team incredible kind and compassionate about the situation we found ourselves in, they took the time to explain (piece by piece) our septic system, how it worked, what the possibilities were to get it fixed, even so much as calling our SEO and trying to help resolve our issues with him directly. I hired Borger Septic Service for a regular four-year pumping of my septic system because I was unhappy with previous service from one of their competitors. Chandler was friendly and professional and took great care of the job. He discovered my baffle and a cracked pipe needed replacing. He explained everything to me and gave me a reasonable estimate. I booked Borger Septic Service to handle the digging and replacing. Jody and Justin came. The job required more pipe replacement than they originally anticipated. They patiently explained to me what was needed and why and answered all of my questions. Needless to say, more time and more parts required more money. Having said that, I must say it was money well spent and fair, reasonable pricing for their time and expertise. It was truly a privilege to meet and work with all three men. All three were personable, dedicated, and experienced. The office staff I spoke with on the phone were friendly and patient, too! These are people you can count on and a business you can trust.
