Recently, toilets and showers started draining slowly, and I knew it was time to take action. I tried for months to locate the tank myself, even using a probe, with no luck. One day, I saw my neighbor getting their tank serviced and spoke with the owner of the company, Dave Cella. Dave immediately walked over and spent half an hour helping me search--even though I wasn't a customer yet. A few months later, with the drainage issue now urgent, I obtained the original septic plans from the county health department. I sent the diagram to Dave, and he offered to come by that Friday to help. But things worsened quickly, and after I finally located the tank myself, I called Dave Thursday morning. To my surprise, he said he could swing by in about an hour between jobs. Dave arrived on time, explained the pricing clearly, and got to work. As expected, the tank hadn't been pumped in 36 years and was full of thick sludge. Dave and his crew took extra time to break it up and get the tank fully cleared. He also found and removed roots from the inlet pipe and stayed while I tested all the drains--everything worked perfectly afterward. The job cost $625, which I felt was very fair given the condition and effort required. Dave was knowledgeable, upfront, and genuinely helpful--even offering free advice during the search process. I noticed some mixed reviews online, but my experience with Dave was outstanding. As someone who's run a sign business for decades and worked with many different business owners, I've developed a good sense for who's genuine and professional. Dave came across as honest, reliable, and committed to doing the job right. I wouldn't hesitate to call Cella's Septic again in the future.

If I could give negative stars I would. Cella was hired in November to replace a septic system in a…read morenewly purchased house. The owner was responsive, at the beginning, and we entered into a contract, and because of the house closing contract, we paid them 75% up front. It was downhill from there. This review would be several pages long so I will list out the issues: - They waited , 7 months to start the project - ZERO communication before/during/after - We had to tell them about the second line coming from the house to the tank, even though we sent them the inspection report and survey, three times - They were supposed to pump the existing tank before crushing it, they said they did, but we had sewage seeping into the yard, and had no evidence the tank was pumped out. - They told us no trees would have to be removed; we had to pay a company to remove a tree, they removed 3-4 with their equipment. - I understand they have to rip up a yard to replace the tank, however they went 50yards beyond the expected area and destroyed more of my yard than was necessary. - The first inspection failed, and we were never notified. They never gave us the inspection sticker to put on the property from the county. - We had to send multiple emails after completion to get our final certification because they would not send in the necessary paperwork. - Did NOT communicate $6,000 overage cost even though contract stated they would ask before spending over estimate - When we fought it, they threatened to take us to court - Asked for owner to attend onsite meeting to discuss, they sent a guy we never met or even talked to, who seemed to be their "closer" in order to get more money out of us. I implore you, please learn from our horrible experience and find a different company.
