Bartlett's does everything including nails, anal secretion, ear cleaning, bathing, brushing, etc. The store is currently in the process of renovating but they are also open all the time, with the exception of two days a week where they have off. The two owners are very friendly and caring people. I have no problem bring my dogs here for Jackie and her husband to care for and groom. I highly recommend this groomer for your pet's needs. Where the diagnosis confirmed by the ER veterinarian. No family should ever have to experience the fear, expense, and heartbreak that we did because their pet was not properly cared for. A boarding facility should understand the serious dangers of heat exposure, especially for large dogs, and take appropriate precautions. Based on our experience, that did not happen. The lack of knowledge, judgment, and care shown while our dog was in Kathy's custody resulted in a preventable, life-threatening medical emergency. We trusted Kathy's Boarding and Grooming with a beloved member of our family, and that trust was completely shattered. We cannot recommend this business and strongly urge other pet owners to think carefully before leaving their animals there.

My dog stayed here for four nights and unfortunately came home covered in feces and urine. He is…read moreonly four months old and, when we booked his stay, we specifically communicated that he needed to be fed breakfast, lunch, and dinner. According to his Paw Report, he was only fed five times during his entire four-night stay. He should have been fed approximately 15 times. The amount of food that was returned to us made it very clear that he had not been fed anywhere near what we had provided or instructed. As a four-month-old puppy, this was extremely upsetting to see. Unfortunately, that was not the only concerning issue. My parents' two intact male dogs stayed at the facility during the same period. One came home with extremely inflamed and infected testicles. I understand that this is a sensitive detail, but it is important to mention because this is actually the second time this has happened to one of their dogs after staying at this facility. The first occurrence was earlier this year, and we initially assumed it was an isolated incident. After it happened again, we became much more concerned. We do not know the cause, and I don't want to speculate, but we have questions about the cleaning products or whether floors and surfaces are being allowed to fully dry before dogs are put back into the area. Both my parents and I attempted to contact the facility to speak with a manager and simply understand what happened. I spoke with a gentleman, I believe his name was Tyler, for quite some time and made it very clear that I was not looking to cause an issue. I simply wanted answers and an explanation. I was told that a manager would contact me the following day. No one ever did. My parents also attempted to follow up and were unable to get answers. Our veterinarian actually recommended that we share our experience because of the infection. What makes this particularly frustrating is that the concerns started from the beginning, with the number of add-ons and packages presented when booking and deciding what level of care your dog receives. It felt like the focus was on upselling services rather than making sure the basic needs of the dogs were being met. I would never feel comfortable boarding my dog here again. Four nights should not result in a four-month-old puppy coming home covered in urine and feces and apparently receiving only a fraction of the food he was supposed to receive. Combined with the lack of communication and the medical issue involving my parents' dogs, this experience has completely destroyed our trust in the facility.

There was also urine or feces on their bedding after boarding- with no explanation or apology offered. We stopped going there. After nearly 10 years, and with a new puppy, we thought we would give BD another try. Practically from day 1, things were poor. The "Live" video never worked. When it did, it showed the dogs running around with one staff standing against a wall and on their cell phone. We scheduled our puppy for a bath- it never happened. A couple of weeks ago, we boarded our puppy for 1 overnight. I arrived at 8am (when they open), staff was not ready. I waited, along with 10 other parents, for my puppy to be brought down, and was told he hadn't been fed breakfast. I noticed he was wet, but it wasn't until I got him to the car that I realized it was urine, and all of his bedding was saturated with urine. When I got him home, I noticed that all of the food I pre-packaged for him, was still in the bag. He hadn't been fed at all while in their care! I had really hoped BD had changed, but it's obvious that they haven't. It's clear they don't hire competent staff or train them properly. I would not recommend anyone bringing their dog there! Yelp is making me rate BD with a Star- I wouldn't give one if I didn't have to!

Short Version: If you have a French Bulldog, pug or any breed that has known health problems I…read morewould steer clear of this practice. They misdiagnosed my Frenchies eye issue, made it worse with initial the treatment, corrected the treatment, and still he almost lost his eye because of the initial misdiagnosis and lack of recommendation from them to see a specialist. Long Version: We brought our dog here for years, staff has always been amazing, nice and developed a great relationship with most of the staff. We initially brought our frenchie for an eye issue. It was puffy, he kept kind of closing it, squinting. He originally saw Dr. Burba who said he had conjunctivitis,, no uclers and said to treat him with a steroid ointment for 10 days twice a day. We treated him with the ointment, but luckily would forget to do it started to look better than when we used to ointment, but after a few weeks it seemed to get worse. We then went in for a recheck because it wasn't getting better, told them it seemed to get worse with the ointment. Dr. Kim Petty re-examed his eye and said to restart treatment with the steroid cream and make sure to do the full 10 days (Despite us saying we thought it was making it worse). So I did just that, 2 times a day like clockwork, and halfway through he developed a hole in his eye, which turned out to be a corneal ulcer. We then saw Dr. Pope for the Corneal Ulcer who completely changed his treatment and said steroid ointment will make ulcers worse. Which in this case appeared to be what happened in our opinion. Dr. Pope then begin to treat the ulcer, saw us very frequently, I really hate writing this negative review because Dr. Pope honestly was amazing, I could tell she really cared about him and wanted to help fix the issue with his eye. It was improving from what she told me and after multiple re-checks she said he was good to go back to normal life, no drops, keep an eye on it. Fast forward I want to say 1-1.5months he still had a noticeable hole there but we assumed it was healing. He then one night lightly swiped at his eye and boom. Liquid shot out of it, I rushed him to an emergency vet who then referred us to Tufts who had an Opthalmology team. To wrap this up, he had a corneal perforating leaking ulcer, the team at tufts said they would NEVER give a Frenchie or similar breed a steroid ointment for their eyes under any circumstance because they are prone to these problems which steroids either cause or make 100x worse. With all this said, Dr. Pope was amazing but I really am disappointed in this clinic because of the initial recommendation from both Dr. Burba and Dr. Kim Petty to use steroid ointment for 10 days which directly caused him to develop a Corneal Ulcer. Then, with such a bad Corneal ulcer I don't understand why the team didn't recommend we go straight to a specialist and have them look at his eye. I blame myself a lot for not logically thinking we should do that myself but I trusted the team here and did everything they said. Drops 6x a day, cone for almost 8 weeks...etc. After the rupture, the tufts team was able to save his eye with a graft surgery but this could have easily been avoided had he 1 not been treated with steroids and 2 been recommended to see a specialist once he developed the corneal ulcer instead of only treating it with drops. Graft surgery might have been avoided and they could have done a different procedure. I called the clinic to express my concerns (I'm a pretty calm person so I wasn't being crazy like someone normally would) but I wanted them to know this should have been avoided and they basically are the majority at fault for my Frenchie almost losing his eye. After stating everything above, I was told Dr. Pope would call to follow up. Didn't get a call, and in my patient history I requested because logically we're leaving the clinic after this they said: "called upset that ulcer ruptured when we were closed and had to seek care elsewhere". That's absolutely not what I said or was upset about, I was upset that he was misdiagnosed, and not recommended to see an eye specialist after they caused his corneal ulcer from the steroid ointment. I would never be upset for a practice being closed after hours and quite the opposite I am patently thankful they were closed otherwise they would have been the ones treating him. We learned a hard lesson with our little guy that if you have a major issue with your dog take them to the best, Tufts in Grafton. I cannot recommend it enough they were truly outstanding and although this was a horrible experience I'm grateful to have found that practice for major issues/emergencies. Overall, I'm sad to have to write this because I loved everyone at this practice, but I can only be so nice and it's too bad they didn't care enough to check on our Frenchie, see what our concerns were and explain to us why they would have used the steroid ointment initially/not recommended us to a specialist. SKIP this place
