Had to throw out furniture because of the problem. Reported the issue to my insurance company. They hired Mr Rockwell to issue an assessment report the mold was "incidental" and needed no (insurance covered) mold Remediation. Meanwhile, the mold in the air was bad enough to force the doctor to prescribe 3 antibiotics to get me past the dark spot on my lungs X-Ray showed. Do not hire him. I doubt he knows what the word "ethic's even means. Just to let you know, another licensed mold remediator came in before Mr Rockwell, after the first mentioned report showed dangerous levels ofold contamination, give me a $17,000 Remediation estimate. Does tell Mr Rockwell's indication to the insurance company (WHO OAID HIM FOR HIS REPORT to deny me benefits of the policy) was at the very least incorrect in his reported assessment that the mold issue was "incidental " only!!?!

First I was quoted a completely different price on both the visit and then asked for the owner Scott Rockwell, that works solo to check with the lab how much it would cost to send them air samples ($30) and tape samples ($20).. because I'm a single mom and haven't worked since my little son was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. I made it really clear that i needed prices before i commit to anything because of my financial situation - long story short all of a sudden the $50 home visit that was promised became $104 and the lab charges from the Rockwell statement were now $177 - totaling now from what originally was discussed 2/3 of this price. I decided to call the lab and ask how much they charged for my tests.. they said each air sample was $30 ( i had 2) and my tape sample was $20. Totaling in $80 not $176 as billed plus labor charges that were doubled. When I confronted scott he went on about how it was impossible to quote me those lab prices because apparently my tests were super expensive - lies. My $180 bill grew to $277... he denies this.. also told me if I pay now he will reduce the bill by $100. When I stated that I first wanted an explanation of these new and fabricated charges, he threatened me into collections - next morning I paid my full amount - this guy is a crook. Stay far away from him. Not only is he really unprofessional, he's rude, lacks communication skills and cheats people out of money.

Particularly if you're buying an old house, you know there will be issues. He will show you what they might be (or what they are) but he puts them in perspective. Some of them are to be expected with older homes. Some are worrisome. Some are a red light. He doesn't treat all of them like an emergency, and explains what he thinks. And he suggests what your next step should be. 3. He doesn't pretend to be an expert in everything. Nothing is more frustrating than an inspector who makes sweeping statements that later prove to be dead wrong, simply because they should have directed a buyer toward a specialist. Stephen has always been careful to tell clients that he can target an issue, but their next step is to talk to an expert, whether it's a plumber, an electrician, a roofer, or a septic company. 4. But once the work is finished, his attitude completely changes and he becomes very rude. He did not properly remove the dirt, just piled up stones, and you can still see the fabric underneath. The quality of work was terrible. This was one of the worst experiences we've had with a contractor. The person we dealt with was Ben, and based on our experience, I would definitely not recommend this company to anyone. Please be careful before hiring them.

Ceiling and walls painted. Also removed an in wall a/c in a bedroom and repaired wall and siding. Everything went very well. The crew showed up on time and got to work. They discovered a couple issues once things were torn out; these were addressed at minimal additional cost. Hired Brian to install new tub and surround which was owner supplied and a new window which he…read moresupplied. Being the only bath in the house work had to be completed and usable in one day. Is completed in the same day but was discovered afterwards that the surround was was installed wrong so had to be reordered and first one had to be torn out and reorder installed at his expense. New bath faucet internals also had to be replaced (at owners expense) because when soldering in place he got the fixture to hot and ruined the parts so faucet leaked from day one. Also a few years later when installing new siding discovered instead of ordering correct window the window that was installed was a "replacement" window meant to go in an old window frame but was installed in a wood frame opening with a horrible caulk and trim job on the outside which allowed the window drain holes to leak water into the wall of the house for years. The wall had to be torn apart and rebuilt from the water and subsequent insect damage. Worst contractor I have ever dealt with.
