They work hard at making sure that there are programs for everyone, young and old. Our family has participated in so many---Girl Scouts, Caroling & Cocoa, Middle School Dances, Ski Bradford, the Santa Breakfast, yoga, sewing classes and dance. Absolutely hands down one of the most awesome, entertaining dance performances I have ever seen!…read more Yep, the Phunk Phenomenon-- including Junior Phunk (8-12 year olds) and Lil Phunk (6-13 year olds who perform at half-time dring Celtics games!!! ...and are my new personal heroes)-- performed at AIDS Walk Boston this year. And let me tell you, they rocked the place to the ground. They grooved, they shaked. They breakdanced. They did crazy isolations. One kid had a mohawk. One kid got up there and tore it up all by himself on stage! Backflips happened. Dancers came flying off the stage. I'm telling you, these kids can MOVE. Meanwhile, the crowd was going wild. We had about 15,000 people on the Hatch Shell that day, all dancing, cheering, smiling, and having a blast. Afterward, the feedback was amazing-- people LOVE the Phunk Phenomenon, and want them back. I just wish that I had joined the Phunk Phenomenon when I was 8 years old! Maybe then my "robot" would be more believable. Le sigh. Be Prepared to Be AMAZED and TOTALLY ENTERTAINED!!!!!!…read more Opening NIGHT AT 7:30, if you don't have tickets yet there is plenty of time to be in the audience for this anticipated Production of JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT! Very Excited to see this Broadway Production of after 16 years ago when it was First on stage here at NSMT! WELL, I was totally into this highly Choreographed Broadway production that I could not take my eyes away from the stage for a second! This cast has the best choreography from any Broadway production I have seen! They all were insync to the music ! (Which the NSMT ORCHESTRA, did not miss a Beat) Timing was spot on and truly breathtaking. You will be mesmerized at every aspect of its 2 hour performance. I watch from the best seats in the house ( know that Every Seat has great vantage points), and how each performers gave their Best heartfelt performances. Kudos to the Ensemble Cast! Bravo to All! One character who played Naphtali, Apache Dancer, and Ensemble did.....catch my eye...... His movements, his precision dancing , his energy, even his facial expressions were all incredible, I had to looked him up in the Program! It was "Evan K. Latta". Congrats! But the Focus and Star of this Production was of course Joseph played by NIKITA BURSHTEYN. He was the perfect Joseph and his vocals were pitch perfect! The way he moved around the stage and interacted and intertwined with the ensemble, especially in this theater in the round was flawless to say the least! I was totally entertained by him! Thank you NIKITA! The audience "Loved you"from the audiences constant applause and cheering! There are so many cast members to congratulate and each and everyone for a performance that energized the audience! Even the youth choir did an exceptional performance and elevated this production to a higher level! To see these young actors bring a smile to our faces you could notice that each were in there glory performing for us all! You can tell they worked very hard dancing and singing! Bravo to them! But going back to Joseph, the stage was designed with bright colors and lights and the costumes beautifully designed kept you riveted to the stage! The Staff of North Shore Music Theatre successfully made this production a hit for all of us watching! The different costumes changes and gold sequined costumes and Lame pants were my favorite part of the performance! It was a night that will stay with me for a long time and if you have the time to see Bill HANNEY's Production of JOSEPH and the AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT , then make a point to see and enjoy an evening at NSMT! I can't thank the Staff and Bill HANNEY enough for an unforgettable performance and a perfect evening here in Beverly, Ma. I wish I could give this place more stars…read more My daughter started dance at the Y when she was in preschool. By 2nd grade she needed a different studio for several reasons. Checked out a few in town but I liked the non competitive atmosphere here. Jane (the owner) is the most personable manager you'd ever want to meet. The motto is that everyone is a star (and at the end of the year everyone gets a medal). Some kids do get trophies but not for competition reasons. They have programs for all level kids and everyone regardless of age, ambition, ability or socioeconomic level is treated equally. My daughter has been in intensive ballet for four years now and is in her second year of toe. She's given the drive and push she needs to succeed without creating an environment similar to certain reality show nightmares. She's worked her way onto performance team. It's something she's wanted since 2nd grade and she's happiest when she's there. She's just finished her second year on team. She is happiest when she's with her PT gang. If you want your child to enjoy himself/herself I suggest you go there. Everyone is equal and Jane and her daughter Meghan are available almost 24/7 via phone, email, txt, FB chat -- the only thing I haven't personally tried is FaceTime but I suspect if I needed to they'd make it happen (everyone deserves some down time). These ladies truly care about the whole student. What matters is that the focus isn't solely on how they dance. Taking the personal feelings of each student into account is part of the corner stone of what they hold near & dear to their teaching philosophy. Ms. Katelyn McMahon, the director of the ballet program, is very knowledgable and trustworthy. She is hard on her students but truly wants the best for them, and pushes them to succeed. Not only is she an outstanding ballet teacher she is also incredibly knowledgable about dance related injuries and physical therapy. I can not stress enough how much of an amazing person and teacher she is. She truly goes above and beyond. Jane, the owner, and her daughter Meghan, an assistant director, know each student individually and always makes sure all students feel welcome. I would feel comfortable talking to them about dance and non-dance related issues. Overall, after attending another dance school for a few years where I felt unwanted, I feel truly blessed to have come across CPA, when I was looking for a new dance school. The ballet intensive program is truly an intensive, complete with levels, auditions, end of year evaulations and teacher/parent conferences. I would highly recommend CPA to anyone, no matter what level or age. Truly an amazing, welcoming enviorment with highly qualified teachers and outstanding dance training.

This gym used to be packed with people and classes use to fill up pretty fast. In 2024, BAC is pretty much empty. Plus, now there are cameras literally around EVERY corner of this place. Creepy. Anyway, it seems like everyone moved to Blink. Probably won't re-sign up if I come back home permanently, but won't join Blink either. Friendly employees at BAC, but too few members and too many cameras. Joining Blink is joining A.I. No thanks to both.
